Trinitas Mundus

Episode 95: Sochius Re-entry

November 8.

At the Blacksmith Guild banquet yesterday, Ray and Luna, Theophilus, held talks with Queen Katrina and succeeded in obtaining permission for the passage of Fort Toa, the main impulse east of the Kaum kingdom. The day after that, I officially received the Kingdom's official documents.

Furthermore, to avoid confusion, the Queen made a proposal to accompany the commanders of the Knights of Black Steel.

"Fort Toa's command is not a hard-headed fool like it was before, but still this order will feel abrupt. So it should be less confusing to be accompanied by the superiors of the Black Steel Knights. Because if you take the time to exchange information, it will be a full winter."

Ars to Fort Toa is about three hundred and fifty km (Kimmel). The road is well maintained, so you can arrive in twelve or three days on your normal itinerary, but sometimes at high altitudes, it could have been closed by snow in December.

"It would help if you did so," Luna thanked on her behalf.

And today, the line set off for Fort Toa.

Late autumn Ars Street continues with sunny weather that leaves, and four days later, on November 12th, we arrive in Barbezy, a branch with Toa Street.

So Ray made a suggestion in Luna.

"I hear my hometown is about a hundred and fifty kimmels, don't you have to stop by?"

I knew Luna was in love with Zach, my brother-in-law, and I suggested we meet.

"Kati also said that I want to get into Sokius before winter. You can't waste your time on something personal right now."

"But we have to fight that god of nothingness. I hate to say it, but I could lose my life. I'm fine because I'm with Ash, but I think I should sort my mind out for once..."

Luna is surprised by the words. Because I didn't think Ray would talk about romance.

"Oh, Saint (Hijiri), I didn't expect to hear those words from your mouth... ugh... can you afford to have her?

I was grateful for Ray's feelings even though I teased him.

"It's not like that..."

"I'm glad you care about me. But I'm still not going. Because after I had done what I had to do properly, I decided to go see him with my chest up."

Luna erased her grin until then and said so with strong determination.

Ray also conveys the thought, nodding forcefully.

"Okay. Let's defeat Vanitas before we go see him. I have a lot to ask you, too."

He also traveled well from Barbezy to Toa and arrived at Fort Toa on November 17, earlier than planned.

The occasional snow hits because of the elevation, and the Rays are exhaling white.

The command of the fort is the newly appointed knight of the ancient ginseng, by virtue of the change of Viscount Benjamin Plummer. A magnificent man who seems honest, but could not hide his surprise at the content of the official documents he received from Ray.

"Enter the land of the Devil Nation (Kwaedam Tenebre)... what if the Devil Nation brainwashes you..."

In response to that soliloquy, Ray mouths the answers he has prepared.

"I have seen puppet magic in Periclitle many times. He is also working with Professor Raspade of the Academic City (Doctus) to develop magic props. So don't worry."

Furthermore, the commander of the Knights of Black Steel also presses in case "Her Royal Highness commands". I had no choice but to snort, reluctantly, at the words.

"Surely with Lord Arklight, we can deal with it. Besides, this is a formal order. You must have already considered the danger in the Wang capital. Then there's no way I can disagree."

That's what I said and allowed it.

The next eighteenth day was supposed to be a day of rest, replenishing supplies, etc., and creeping through the eastern gate of Fort Toa on November 19th.

The gate was only wide enough for each person to pass through, and as low as two meters (melt) high enough to remain on horseback, it was tripled with sturdy iron doors.

There are also about 10 cm (semel) holes to the left and right so that you can stick the spear out of the adjacent room that pinches the wall.

This is for the Great Ghosts and Orga to restrict the actions of their large enemies, but the Humans had to give in and pass, especially the great Sorel warrior chief Gius Salinas, who had rubbed his back many times and whispered ill.

There was a deep valley-like wilderness stretching out in front of the Rays who safely passed Fort Toa.

Fort Toa was built like the "Guan” seen in ancient China, and the walls were built in such a way as to block a valley made of rugged cliffs.

"It's better than the way out I went before, but I can't say it's the way out."

"Right. It's a tough place to travel with a horse."

Alberic Auger, deputy director of the Mercenary Corps of Markat (Red Arms), and Hamish Markat, leader of the Corps, are talking.

They're right, it only leaves traces of the path made at the time of the ghost invasion of the past. Fortunately, the weed is withering because it is approaching winter, and we can manage to discern the traces of the road.

"It's about fifty kimmels from here to the village of Leriche. I don't think we'll get lost because we'll get Uno and the others ahead of us, but proceed with caution."

Ray drew everyone's attention in front of the fort.

Hear that order, and the Beast Troops scatter simultaneously.

"That's amazing. My father and brother thought he was excellent as a scout, but after all, Luke's Beast Troop is something else..."

Eunice Jakes, the scourge of the Lockhart family, is addressing Theo.

"The Lockhart family has a different purpose. Our scourge is to find traces of demons, but those people deal with people..."

Luke's Beastman unit is not only a reconnaissance unit, but also a special unit that performs tasks such as manoeuvre and agitation, and has a very different personality from the normal scouts that hunters serve together.

The first day was only straight down the valley, so we could proceed without getting lost. But there were many fallen trees and rockfalls on the road, which came in the way of travel on horses, and in the end only about ten kimmels went on that day.

The next day the Unos have chosen the best route and the road is clear because people are passing through it more than near Toa, about twenty kimmels.

After dinner, key members were assembled for future consultations.

"I'm going to be in Leriche tomorrow, but I think it's time to meet Sokius' scout squad"

Stella nods at Ray's concerns.

"Right. There must have been traces before, in places like Five Kimmels from the village, and when we left, he said we were going to call the Winged Demons."

"You might want to keep in touch first"

And turn your gaze to Luna,

"I don't know if you want Luna to write a letter and have one of the Unos carry it"

Luna agrees with that word as well.

"I think that would be nice, too. Lord Talvo will be waiting for you, so if you keep in touch, you won't be in any trouble."

Talvo Kronvar, a hero of the Great Ghost Nation, remains in charge in the village of Leriche.

His son Nestri and former commander of the Leriche village garrison, Einar Slangs, were manipulated by the Nothingness (Vanitas) and attacked by Luna, who was about to return west.

Though critical and on time, Tarvo took the blame and tried to choose death. But Ray and Luna persuaded him to defend the village of Leriche until Luna returned.

Ashley had listened in silence, but she had joined the conversation by saying "I have one concern".

"The village of Leriche could be under the influence of Vanitas. At that time, Nestri looked completely remodeled, but Vanitas manipulated him to attack us. I don't know how easy it would be to manipulate someone like Lord Talvo, but just in case, why don't you let the Unos explore it?"

"But I looked like I'd switched my mind so perfectly before. I don't think even Mr. Uno and the others can judge. I think it's safer for all of us to go while we consolidate our protection."

Since Vanitas' mental manipulation is not an act, it cannot even be judged by the Uno and the Beast Troops, which are trained interveners. Ray suggested we head for Leriche with this whole squad of elite men.

"I agree with Ray. We Red Arms and Lord Gius and the people of the meadows, and Lord Uno. Unless it's more than ten times the size of an army, we can do anything."

"I think Mr. Hamish is right. However, you should be vigilant."

Stella nodded at Ray's words,

"I think Lady Ray and Luna in particular can be targeted. I think we should put the Beast Troops on escort."

Ashley and Ione also voted in favour of it, so Ray and Luna were to be accompanied at all times by ten escorts each.

The next morning, Diez, one of Uno's men with Luna's letter, headed to the village of Leriche with five of his men.

Half a day later, Diez returned with a giant body ghost tribe, Talvo Kronvar of the Great Ghost tribe and Varma Niska of the Moon Demon tribe.

Behind them we refrained not only from the Great Ghost tribe, but also from the Medium Ghost tribe, the Little Ghost tribe and even the Winged Demon tribe, and it seemed to Ray that almost everyone in Leriche had come to pick them up.

When Tarvo finds Luna, he lays flat to rub his forehead on the ground. Next to it, Varma was bowing her head, poking one knee in tears. Behind it, the ghosts lay flat in the same way.

"Well done, you're safe... thank God of Darkness (Noctis)!

Varma exhales her mood in place of Tarvo, who is no longer able to put out too many words of gratitude for seeing Luna.

"You worried," Luna says gently.

"Is it all over?

"I did what God asked me to do safely in the temple at the beginning of Jilsall. But our battle is not over yet."

Talvo looks up at the word.

"So do you say you will go to battle with the white magicians and the warriors behind you?"

"Exactly. And of course, we want you all to help us."

Talvo hears that he can fight the Son of the Moon himself, and shines his eyes.

"As long as I live, I will serve your son!

You heard the ghosts behind you, and they were just as determined with their faces up.

Luna soothes the excitement with her hands up.

"My ally, Lord Ray Arklight, son of the God of Light (Lucidus), and his compatriots! Those in the west, but be polite as my guests!

"Ha!" Tarvo lowered his head, as did the ghost tribes.

"Now let's head to the village of Leriche. Ray, that's good."

Seeing the exchange now, I feel it's unlikely that Vanitas is manipulating me, "Of course," he nods.

Previously, when Nestri and the others were manipulated, Nestri and Einar were completely puppets, but the other soldiers only hung to a very weak degree of allusion.

Ray felt it was unlikely that the reaction of the ghosts nowadays was a sincere tribute to Luna and that they were all put under complete control, but only in part.

Luna felt the same way, so she suggested entering the village of Leriche without consulting her.

I used it for half a day to get in touch, so it was the 22nd of November the following day that I entered Leriche.

Although the altitude was lower than Fort Toa on the hill, it was exposed to the cold wind blowing down from the top of Aquila, so when we entered the village, the Uno and the Beast Troops, whatever, were breathing relief from the people of the meadows and the Mercenary Corps of Markat (Red Arms).

A feast was to be held that night to celebrate Luna's return, but sometimes it was just an early hour into the afternoon, bringing together the key players who said Tarvo and Varma to explain their future policies.

Besides the Great Ghost Talvo, the village of Leriche was awaited by chief classes such as Pecca Ventura of the Middle Ghost and Isto Slangs of the Little Ghost.

Luna began to tell these three what had happened to the four of them who combined Varma.

"... after leaving Sochius, we headed to the Temple of the Creating God (Creatore) on the island of Gilsall... We met the gods and were asked to stop the Vanitas measures, we headed to the meadows..."

After meeting the Three Lord God and the Eight Attributes God, and heading to the meadow, he tells us that Vanitas' ploy was the march of the Holy King Luke and his subsequent great defeat, and, after preventing it, he meets God again and Vanitas is in the wilderness of despair (Desperationis).

Where Vanitas was heard to be in the wilderness of despair, the ghosts flaunt their faces, but still quietly listen to Luna.

"... we have decided to seal Vanitas. This is to the future, to leave no harm to our offspring. The enemy is powerful enough for the gods to fear. But if all the people put their hands together, they won't lose. What we need is to believe in our people. Forget your previous remorse and fight with the West!

To Luna's words, the Tarvos were exalted and no longer even concerned themselves with challenging the wilderness of despair, which is even said to be synonymous with death.

"We go into Zalesche once. We're going from Zalesche to a place called Mauki Village, from where we're going into the wilderness of despair."

"Is it the village of Mauki?," Tarvo says of his doubts.

The village of Mauki is a small village of little ghosts who reached when Ray crossed the wilderness of despair. Where those tired of the struggle for power lived together, and none of Talvo and others in the chieftaincy class knew his name.

"It's a village we used to reach when we crossed the wilderness of despair. I don't know the exact distance, but it should have been about a hundred and fifty km (Kimmel) north of Zalesche. I remember it was relatively easy to travel, about three days from the center of the desperate wilderness…"

When Ray explains it that way, he is impressed by the fact that "it was true that you stepped through that wilderness".

"We will leave for Zalesche the day after tomorrow. Varma, is there a wing demon tribe that can be used for preaching orders?"

to Luna's inquiry. Varma bowed her head greatly,

"We have always prepared a five-man decree to inform you of your son's return, so we have no problem"

"I will now ask Luberna and Zalesche for a decree. I'll give you a letter later, but I'm going to ask Lord Ehlis to lead the magician to Zalesche. Tell Zalesche we're on our way."

"Accepted."

There was no particular opinion from the Demonic side, and the meeting was dissolved.
