Trinitas Mundus

Episode 108: Meet Vanitas

The Rays were exploring caves that suddenly appeared in the desperate wilderness (Desperationis).

We headed behind the cave and found a domed room about 100m (melt) in diameter. In the centre there is something like a cylindrical altar about five melts high, and when you go inside, the entrance to the cave that you have walked to until then closes.

There was no magic in that room, and the magic props were deactivated except for Ray's gear.

And there appeared on the altar a man of the pitch-black devil tribe, the black devil tribe, and he called out to them. The voice was cold that didn't make her feel the emotions, and Ray was feeling something cold flowing through her spine.

"I thank you for bringing the Son of the Dark God (Noctis) under me."

Luna receives that gaze and feels the disgust of a bug crawling around her body.

"There's no way I'm going to give you Luna!," Ryan can roar, "but the pitch-black man never even responded with a cold smile.

"Are you Vanitas," Ray asks with a spear.

"Wherefore, can the Son of the God of Light manipulate magic in this place? But you can't release it."

"Answer the question. You're Vanitas!

"Exactly," replies the pitch-black man to Ray's renewed inquiry.

"You are a Black Demon...... maybe not Lord Saul Ingvar?

That's what Ione asks, but I don't understand what you're talking about other than her.

"Saul... surely this body was such a name. Now I don't even have a soul fragment left."

The Black Demons are a family of the Winged Demons, or Demons.

In addition to his magical talents like the Moon Demons, he possesses physical abilities comparable to those of the Middle-Ghost Nation and is alone said to be the most powerful race. Previously, I was in the guiding position of Sochius, a demonic nation.

But he lost the majority of his clan in the great invasion of the West a thousand years ago, and now he's just a mere being who keeps the blood of his clan fine.

Saul Ingvar was the chief of the Black Demon clan, but for several years he had ceased to appear, and Elise Nortia and the other priests of the Temple of Darkness suspected that he was taking action to take over Sokius.

Ione briefly explains the matter, turning again to Vanitas.

"Did Lord Saul summon you? Yellis was worried a few years ago that a very large summons had taken place."

So Vanitas smiles coldly.

"Stop laughing. It doesn't come true to summon me to this degree of existence. He collected my pawns, but that's all."

"Lord Saul is Master Elis, and Lord Varma is the one who feared that talent. Be careful."

When Ione warns, Luna nods.

"You did say Lord Ehlis and Varma had a black demon clan in them. But it's not about that, I know this existence is dangerous..."

Vanitas blocks Luna's words.

"Now, let me show you something good for the son of Noctis."

That's what I said and wave my right hand wide.

Then a black plate-shaped object appeared on his right about five melts wide and three melts vertically.

"Display panel?" Ray spoke out, but Vanitas waved his right hand even more without answering it.

There, a beautiful white castle was reflected against the backdrop of the snow-covered mountains.

Luna stepped forward. Ray pulls her hand in a hurry, but Luna wasn't even aware of it.

"The village of Rasmore... how could..."

"You should see something more interesting than this......" he grins niggly at Luna, but looks back with a well-shaped eyebrow.

And he said, "Don't do anything senseless! I said," I waved my right hand.

Ahead was the figure of Diez about to climb the altar.

Diez climbed the altar secretly while Vanitas was turning his consciousness to the Rays, trying to attack them with a sword from the rear.

Dies blows to be bounced off by an electric shock and falls under the altar. It was clear from that body that something like smoke was rising and, even in the long run, desperate.

"Mr. Dies!" and Ray tries to rush over,

"Don't move. Now we see this," Vanitas tells us, and Ray stares at Vanitas.

"I can take your lives any time I want. Don't bother me for nothing."

I felt that the word was just pale about the facts to Ray, and I was desperate about the difference in power.

(What am I supposed to do... so far it's an overwhelming difference in power that I can't fight...)

Knowing or not the voice of his heart, Vanitas just gives Ray a glimpse and looks straight at Luna.

"Let me show you who cared the most..."

That being said, it shows a young man pointing to a pitch-black dragon. The dragon is huge over fifty melts long, but it wasn't in Luna's eyes, except for the young man in the pitch-black armor.

"Mr. Zach......"

When Vanitas sits in the chair he shows up at some point, he puts his legs together and gives him an extra look.

"Let me first show you the arrangements of his people."

Shortly afterwards, the screen glows white and dozens of meteors descend on giant dragons. The dragon withstands the attack and, conversely, throws up a mass of flames against an elf woman who unleashed magic.

"Mr. Lydia!" The voice of Luna sounds, and begins to tremble with a mess.

Because to her eyes it looked like an elf woman had been swallowed by the flames.

At the next moment, a white beam of light pierced the dragon's torso.

"Well, don't you do it," Vanitas raises her voice as impressed.

The dragon falls as it stands.

"Wow..." Ray also saw in the footage.

Ashley and Stella put their hands on the sword without leaving Ray, and the Unos were alert to their surroundings.

Ryan is worried about Zacharias coming out of Luna's story, or is nailed to the video.

"Beware of Master Lockhart. Because there's no way Vanitas is going to do anything like this."

Ryan returns me to Ione's warning.

"I'm sorry," he bowed his head, turning his consciousness to Luna, not the video.

A dragon was defeated in the meantime. Luna openly gives a relief look,

"Well, it's the opening of Act II. I hope you enjoy it."

Vanitas had changed from a previous grin to a look close to ridicule.

In the video a magic formation emerges from the dragon's body and a pitch-black skeleton is summoned.

"It's Dragontooth Warrior. Well, I wonder how far you'll eat down..."

"If you're a dragon tooth soldier..." Ashley exclaims, forgetting the perimeter alert, the Unos also turn their gaze to the video.

"Dragon Tooth Soldiers are demons that you summon with dragon fangs, right? Sounds strong, but isn't that so much?"

Although Ray knew it as knowledge, he confirms it to Ashley, not as a real feeling.

"Even the Mercenaries (of which) can't handle it unless they're more than deputy captains. It would be difficult for me to win one-on-one. The Unos will be able to cross each other, but as far as legends are concerned, it is extremely difficult to defeat them."

Ray says "so much," but the footage interrupts shortly after the transparent swallow-shaped magic turns up.

"Have you noticed? Fair enough," Vanitas said, staring at Luna.

On the verge of interrupting the footage, Luna erases her previously anxious expression and nods loudly.

"Fifty dragon tooth soldiers cannot be defeated by the power of that village. Even if I could take him down, many of your acquaintances would lose their lives. Speaking of which, if you obey me, you can stop the fight."

Luna says back with a resolute look.

"You don't have to stop the fight. Because that guy is bound to win, and protect his loved ones."

"Can I say that? Many people lose their lives because of their strength. You owe it all to me."

I say that with a face like a winner, but Luna doesn't go through with it.

"This is what he told me.“ Don't worry about this one, concentrate on your enemies. "

"Don't tell me to play. Hasn't he said anything? I didn't know you were watching in the first place. Are you going to fool me with such a clear lie?

That's what Vanitas says and mocks.

Luna was smiling sparingly at the mockery.

"There's something even you don't understand. I thought I could foresee everything because I'm a god, but now I know I'm not."

"Well, if that's all I'm saying, why don't you show me proof that you're not lying?"

Vanitas mocked but felt slightly suspicious, pointing to Luna and rebuffing.

Luna still shows her spare time and gives her a look of pity.

"I don't need to tell you, but I'll tell you something special"

That's what I said and moved my left hand small.

"Is that some kind of coder? I don't think I can tell you everything."

"The first hand sign means" no support needed. "And the second sign is," Hit the nearest enemy. "I've told my nearest enemy, that is, concentrate on you. Do you understand?

At the end of the day, he gives a mockery look, and Vanitas' face is slightly distorted. But I immediately get a spare look on my face.

"What's wrong with that? Assuming that's what he told you, but if you don't come down to me, the village will be wiped out. It's not going to change that."

"Even so, I don't want to betray that man's trust. I may regret returning to the village after I defeat you, but now I will follow that man's instructions."

Say it with a resolute look.

"You think you're gonna beat me (...)? Kuhaha! Stop laughing! Then you think you can defeat me (...)! Hahaha!"

Vanitas says that and makes a big laugh.

I realised that Ray had watched the situation in silence.

(You have feelings for Vanitas? And I said “I” about myself. Is he changing?... I still feel overwhelming power, but if there's anything I can get into there...)

With that in mind, Ray was wondering what would happen to the developments after this.

(Luna's measures to induce upset failed. When that happens, you can either do something to me next or you can do something directly... the best thing you can think of is to kill someone other than me here. Since Mr. Dies was killed, you can see that there's no longer any constraint that he can't get his hands on directly. So the first target is around Ryan...)

Ray initially thought Vanitas was forbidden to interfere in the world, just like the gods. Because of this, we thought we would never come directly to our own hands, but we realized that the constraints had been removed from our attack on Dies without hesitation.

(If you were attacked by earlier magic, there would be no shelter. Besides, as long as you're in that place, you can't even attack us. I need to steer him down here somehow... but he also realizes his own flesh is a weakness. I don't think it's coming down to where it's going to be attacked. What am I supposed to do...)

In the meantime, the exchange between Luna and Vanitas continued.

"I know you're after my body. And that your body is not complete. If it comes down to it, we just have to kill ourselves. That means you have no winning chance."

"Luna!" cries Ryan, ignoring it and Vanitas mocking.

"You think you're going to die? You (...) have that courage? I was in your heart. I don't know what you can do if you've been frustrated more than once and just helped from around you."

Repeat the mockery, but Luna doesn't break her spare grin either.

"You're right, I was a kid who couldn't do anything. No, you haven't changed much..."

Vanitas laughs at the words, "Don't you understand?"

Luna ignores Vanitas and continues the conversation.

"... but I noticed. He said a lot of people have helped him. So now I'll do what I can for the people of this world, no, who helped me. If that's going to kill yourself, just don't hesitate to do it. Besides, you must have noticed. What I can do now. You must be in a hurry because you know that, don't you?

It didn't sound provocative to Luna's voice, but Vanitas said, "Then I'll give it a try!" and give an angry look.

So you noticed that you were becoming emotional, slightly blushing, but immediately turned your expression back to a sneer.

"This is my print. It's easy to give life away and revive it where it's gone..."

That's where I smile. The grin made Luna feel her spine freeze.

"... but that's not funny. Let's take that body away from you after giving you despair."

When Vanitas said so, he rose down from the top of the altar and stood before Luna. And stick out the pitch-black sword that had been pulled out at some point by Ryan, who stood to protect her.

Shortly after avoiding it, Ryan was pierced through his abdomen and couldn't stand the severe pain and said, "Oh!," he screamed.
