Lesson 13: The Hungry Marauder

Shortly after leaving Zira, Holger and the march of former thieves faced one problem.

It is a food issue.

Since the departure from Zira was also an urgent matter, the food in hand was likely to run out in one day.

It is a large area from fifty people and the problem is serious.

"Husband, we need to get some food sometime soon... there's a guy out there facing the blade, right?

One of the troop leaders speaks to Holger in a whisper.

Keep walking. Physical fatigue accumulates. In addition, he is also being chased, and he is mentally hunted down.

On top of this, if you can't satisfy your stomach, you'll get dissatisfied too.

But Holger made it a priority to distance himself from Zira.

The first thing I thought about was making more distance than a chaser.

Holger roughly weighs the distance from Zira from their march speed and exhales.

"Plunder from a nearby village. You guys are good at taking it too, aren't you?

When I joked and asked the troop leader, he returned a grin with Niyaniya.

"I don't know what to say, but my husband's up for banditry."

As a holger, what a difficult word to react to, but he was a compliment to being a troop leader.

The squad leader speaks to his surrounding men.

"You guys, I'm going to go catch some bait. Get ready!

"Usu."

Holger frowns at a light reply that doesn't make him feel disciplined for a group with weapons.

Given that he was a former thief, he reconsidered that he was only better able to lead in an impromptu vertical organization.

Holger looks around and imagines the amount of meal he needs.

"I guess attacking just one village won't bribe you enough..."

While calculating whether he has time to strike more than one village, Holger looks back in the direction where Zira is.

I still don't see the chaser.

"Sir, they say there's a village ahead of us."

I nod back at the words of the troop leader and put my gaze back in front.

Looking around at the former thieves waiting for instructions, Holger opened his mouth.

"We don't have time to wait for the night. Stay on board. Don't worry about anything but food and money."

Regardless of the former thieves, who looked a little dissatisfied, Holger pierced his silence all the way to the village.

The villages were full of vigilante-like men.

It's an unlikely alarm net.

The former thieves are also frowning at the discomfort.

"That's a lot of hand-working, isn't it? Zira's fucking grandfather."

While Holger vomits ill, he causes the number of vigilantes to be carefully checked.

The investigation says there are roughly twenty.

"... That's a lot"

Based on the fact that there are too many places in one village, the men in the village must also be mixed.

"I'm an amateur. Let's take control at once."

The troop leader pushed him on the back, and Holger held up chest noise.

Either way, we have to get food in this village.

Holger gathers the former thieves and tells them the operation.

"It's a waste of time anyway. Pushing in for a breath from the east of the village, he drives the vigilante out and plunders him, then goes south and takes his distance. I'll leave the guy who's doing it."

No one disputed Holger's operation.

Pull out each weapon in a manner that is accustomed to the appearance of a former thief, and take the structure of a walk towards the village.

Holger raised his voice after turning a blind eye to the troop leaders.

"─ Take it away!

Fifty men kicked the ground simultaneously signaling Holger's orders.

The misaligned footsteps echo multiple times, and the men run for the village.

Men who are unwilling to hide their will to plunder arrive in the village with pneumonia.

The vigilante looked back in panic and raised his voice when he saw a group of former thieves.

Enemy attack!

The vigilante immediately turned his back and fled, drawing attention to his companions.

"... ha? Running away?

"Don't get distracted. I don't know if you're willing to meet me at the garrison vigilante outpost!

The squad leader puts the drinks back into the former thieves who step on them.

The former thieves, who have rebuilt their minds, speed up again and enter the village.

While also looking at the possibility of vigilantes lurking in private homes, the former thieves ran around the entire village, not even wide enough.

Raise your weapon, and if you find a shadow, change direction and run in.

The former thieves had spoken one curse after another that made them smell like blood, but the weapons in their hands never bathed in blood.

Even if we find the vigilante, they'll run away from us.

It's not going to be a battle. The weapons I put up just ripped the air in vain.

"... what the hell is going on"

Holger looked around and murmured at the village that the vigilantes abandoned without fighting.

The vigilante kicked out all the way. The time spent is very small, too good, and therefore unspeakable anxiety sneaks up on Holger.

"Sir, this village is crazy."

One of the troop leaders found Holger and spoke up.

The former thieves, who were looking for food and gold, also came out of the private house with their bare hands.

Some of them are kicking into the walls of private houses angrily.

"I have one resident. There's no food or gold. It doesn't look like an abandoned village from the beginning."

As the troop leader put it, the village simply had a sense of life and no necessities existed.

Reminds me of the vigilante who chose to escape from the beginning, and Holger pounds his tongue.

"That kid, he fucked up."

Holger tells the former thieves who tilt their necks.

"We were spotted feeding the village. I guess the grocery shopping was this fabric stone."

Holger also figured out why the vigilante escaped without any resistance.

It was to inform the surrounding forces of the location of the Horgars.

The majority of the former thieves didn't seem to know very well when they were briefed.

I guess he just attacked the prey that wanted to pass in front of him and had nothing to do with locating the prey he was after.

Holger holds his temples so he can get a headache.

Perhaps there will be no food reserves in the villages ahead. We should assume that it will be transported as much as we need from the town where the neighborhood's defense equipment is located.

It seemed to me that it was Sola's operation to crush Holger and his men with the power to locate and assemble them while weakening them with food.

"Don't think the little raccoon is going to make it..."

"Sir?"

The troop leader listened back to Holger's grunt, which contained a calm rage.

"Shut up."

Orders, Holger thinks of the surrounding geography.

"... you guys, let's go grab some food"

"Now what village are we going to attack?

"Idiot. No, it's not the village that attacks you."

Holger stood up and paid the dust on his trousers.

"The troops of the lurking enemy have food."

When Holger and his men were located, Holger discovered that there were troops unable to move from the lurking area to surround them immediately.

One of the few troop leaders who understands the situation opens his mouth in surprise.

"Even if they say they're lurking troops, do you know where they are?

Holger glanced at the woods and gave a fierce grin.

"Wherever we raid a village, we're in a position to rush."
