Chapter 1750: Taylor’s Obsession with Complaining
Ian Shelby released Jocelyn and gently brushed off Taylor’s hand, "I don’t need you to pull me, I can walk by myself." Then he wrapped his arm around Jocelyn’s shoulder again and led her forward.
Taylor was so angry that smoke seemed to come out of his nostrils. He followed behind, watching them, and the more he watched, the more frustrated he became—he wished he could chop off that hand!
Their father was dying, the entire royal family was filled with sadness. Father specifically asked him to stay, refusing to see anyone else, yet Ian was here indulging in romance?
Today, he must tear off his façade! Let Father see his true colors!
When Catherine and Julie rushed to Prince Louis’s palace gates, a servant told them that the princes had just left.
Raising their eyes, they saw several figures about to disappear around the corner not far away.
Jocelyn was there, and the guards were too. Julie and Catherine hurried to catch up!
Along the way, Jocelyn felt like a sandwich filling—not that she was caught in a dilemma, but clearly it was a misunderstanding. There was no need for the brothers to fall out; it could be explained clearly.
But Ian was obviously determined to deal with him today.
Clearly, impatient Taylor still didn’t know what had happened in the royal family last night.
"Um, Prince Taylor..." Jocelyn tried to speak, thinking that the King was still ill, and there was no need for such matters to reach his ears.
Ian didn’t interrupt her, and Jocelyn turned to look at Taylor, continuing, "You don’t need to be so angry..."
"Don’t plead for him!" Taylor couldn’t help being angry, "Father is about to become critically ill! If he’s this kind of person, why pretend to be a filial son? Who is he trying to fool?! Today, I’ll reveal his true self to Father!"
"It’s a misunderstanding, truly a misunderstanding," Jocelyn replied with exceptional patience. "Actually..."
"Don’t tell me so much; I hate hypocrites the most!"
Taylor was indeed furious, "I really thought he was by Father’s side every night! It’s so hard for me to see Father, but he does so easily and doesn’t even cherish it! Sneaking away with the person I like!!"
Soon, the King’s palace loomed near, imposing and solemn.
Today, Eden wasn’t standing guard at the entrance; only Arthur was there.
"Greetings, Princes," Arthur bowed respectfully, and the guards and servants behind him also bowed respectfully.
"Has Father woken up?" Taylor stopped at the door, his tone softened quite a bit. "Please go inform him that the princes have urgent matters to report, especially Prince Taylor!"
Jocelyn glanced at Ian, whose indifferent expression was devoid of any emotion, as if he was seeking revenge.
Taylor is just a kid—why bother with him?
Jocelyn inwardly sighed deeply, feeling that Dr. Shelby was quite immature.
Just then, the King appeared, dressed formally. Though his style wasn’t cutting-edge, it was the essence of gentlemanly attire.
He leaned on a cane, wearing leather shoes, followed by four guards.
His looks were indeed excellent; though ill, his flair had not diminished, showing traces of his former unbridled elegance.
He emerged from the bedroom, suddenly appearing in everyone’s view.
Seeing his father’s current state, Ian’s heart filled with joy, a gleam of light flashed in his eyes.
As for Taylor, he was so shocked that his eyes bulged, completely forgetting his intention to complain!
Father in this condition... doesn’t look gravely ill at all??
Moreover, since becoming ill, when was the last time Father dressed so formally—wasn’t it years ago?
"Good morning, King!" The servants collectively bowed.
"Father." Ian greeted politely and gallantly.
Jocelyn quickly greeted him as well, "Good day, King."
Facing his father’s gaze, Taylor’s thoughts halted for several seconds. "Father, have you... has your condition improved?" He stepped forward a few paces to support the King, "Father, I’m afraid there’s something you don’t yet know, and I must tell you today!"
