Chapter 1774: The More Treated, the Worse It Gets?
Until dinner ended, the King did not ask him why he hit Taylor.
The King always believed that there must be a reason for everything. It was wisest for parents not to interfere and let the children resolve their conflicts themselves.
Ian Shelby also did not report the matter.
The next morning, at Prince Taylor’s palace.
"Ah, ah... ouch... oh... ah!"
"Prince!" The servants at the door rushed inside, shocked by his painful appearance, and someone grabbed the struggling-to-rise Taylor.
"Ah—!" He screamed in pain, "Damn it, be gentle!"
"Sorry, sorry!!" The servant quickly let go of him, frightened to help him again, perhaps having used too much force earlier, though not really using much force at all.
"Prince, are you trying to get up?" Another servant asked nervously, wanting to help but hesitating.
Another servant turned away and ran outside to call the queen.
"Nonsense!" Taylor sat on the bed, supporting his body in pain, furrowing his brows, "I need to go to the bathroom..."
He had held it in all night, tried for half an hour just after sitting up, feeling useless, unable to move, even the slightest movement causing pulling pain throughout his body.
"Come, come, I’ll help you..."
"You better be gentle!" Taylor was furious, this feeling of holding it in was unbearable, feeling like he was about to explode.
With the nervous and cautious support of two servants, Taylor finally forced himself out of bed, straining to move towards the bathroom...
When Catherine and Julie arrived hurriedly, Taylor was being assisted towards the bed, his steps resembling those of a critically ill old man, lacking strength, finding it difficult to move even a small step.
"Son!" The middle-aged woman was shocked and weak in the knees, screaming as she rushed over, "What happened to you? What’s wrong?" Tears were nearly escaping her.
Julie, with her heart in her throat, stepped forward... Was he beaten to a pulp?? Yesterday wasn’t this bad!
"Your Highness, please don’t touch the Prince too forcefully, he is in great pain." A servant kindly reminded them, then stepped aside.
Catherine hesitated for a moment, retracting 99% of her strength, "Son..." She carefully supported Taylor’s arm, inch by inch guiding him to the bed.
Sitting at the edge of the bed, Taylor bit his lip, his face twisting in pain!
"Taylor..." Catherine felt deeply distressed.
"My butt hurts." The boy gasped, furrowing his brows, wincing, as if only this could alleviate the pain, "I don’t want to be awake, I want to sleep..."
This caused Catherine’s heart to ache terribly. She turned and shouted, "Where’s the healer?! Wasn’t it said they would come twice a day for a consult?!"
"Don’t call for him." Taylor weakly complained, "He probably made me worse. I wasn’t this bad last night."
Catherine was greatly distressed and worried, hesitated for a moment, then told Julie, "Call him over!" If he really caused this, he must be held accountable! Otherwise, he’s ruined!
"Yes." Julie quickly turned to make the call.
Taylor groaned...
Catherine and the servants helped Taylor lie down. Although he was light in weight, his whole body felt like it had been scalded, making it impossible to touch.
Soon, the healer arrived after being informed, "Greetings, Your Highness, Prince, Captain..."
"What’s going on with you?! I told you to treat him, yet he can’t move now!" Catherine was absolutely furious, "Quickly, check what’s wrong!"
The healer did not understand the situation, feeling unjustly accused. He quickly moved forward, knelt, and took Prince Taylor’s wrist to check the pulse.
