Umi to Kaze no Oukoku

7 Distressed King Rudolph

When Alexei and the others were going to the royal hunting grounds, King Rudolph at the Royal Palace received reports of ridiculous suspicious documents from a handful of loyalists. I was worried about King Rudolph, who was not feeling very well, but Count Cunningham came to the Royal Palace to say that it was also a problem to leave the suspicious documents handed to him by his grandson.

"What's going to be the 'Old Imperial Knights' in college, is it active?

King Rudolph revealed his grief that the Count's grandson should have been about the age of a college student.

"No, even if I ask my grandson, I need to see something active… However, when Prince Alexei finds out about this letter, he's going to be in trouble."

King Rudolph understood Alexei's feelings about the country, and appreciated his youth-like passion to implement the proposed reforms, but worried that he would have to enter into a relationship of trust with the nobles and bureaucrats in the country before doing so.

Few ministers could be trusted by themselves, but Alexei, who has just returned home, takes a deep sigh of sight knowing that there are such suspicious documents out there among those young people, even though they need young collaborators to support the future of national government.

The fact that Misha was pulled out on top of it tightens the heart of the weakened King Rudolph. Worried about King Rudolph, who seems ill, he controls the Count of Cunningham, who tried to call a samurai.

"Don't make a scene, it's okay."

The palpitations subside after a little while, and when you receive a glass of water from the Earl of Cunningham, you take the medicine that is always available.

"Count Cunningham, I'm fine because I'm not going to die yet. Until Alexei solidifies his foundation in this country, I want to keep an eye on him. At least I can't face Constance if I don't do this."

I know Count Cunningham has been on King Rudolph's side since he was younger, supporting him in his desperate resistance even though he was made a puppet of the former King Georg, so he continues to love the divorced Lady Constance.

I could hardly tell Alexei and Narcisse, the sons of Constance, when I returned home about Misha, the bastard, and I also understood the complicated mood I kept secret for a month.

"What do you intend to do with Princess Misha over the matter of Lady Constance after 20 years of divorce? If your name keeps on this ridiculous suspicious document, it's gonna be really awkward."

King Rudolph sighs deeply at the bitterness of an old familiar count who is relieved because he has settled down. I am well aware that the common man who draws the blood of the royal family is susceptible to the conspiracy of the aristocrats who seek power. I looked at Count Cunningham's face when it was best to have him daughter-in-law to a trusted minister, but he shakes his face sideways with a blurb.

"My grandson Ivan is a dragon knight. If I get Princess Misha for my daughter-in-law, isn't this what this suspicious document says? No, please don't let the dragon knight daughter-in-law Princess Misha, the bastard. If that's the case, then we're happier with each other as nuns."

The three countries, independent of the Old Empire, believed in very similar religions, but the strictest commandments are in the Kingdom of Laurent, where priests and nuns are required to be single.

I hesitate to say to Count Cunningham that a nun who is forced to live a qualitative life is pathetic. I didn't raise him in the royal palace until Alexei and Narcisse returned home, and I let him raise him at his mother's home, but I met Misha several times a year, and I feel affectionate.

"The nun..."

Count Cunningham sighs at King Rudolph's kindness and indecision. Alexei is feeling a little rampant, but Count Cunningham has long felt that it is also a problem to see too much of King Rudolph's opposition complexion.

"If Baron Hagel takes on Princess Misha, what will you do?

King Rudolph is abominable that Hegel's son, who was the former tyrant of the plot as the hand and foot of the former King Georg, not only succeeded the Baron in his father's death, but is also making a leak in the Foreign Ministry.

"We want Baron Hagel out of the Foreign Office somehow. As long as he's around, Alexei can't trust the ambassador. He's a man who's going to do more tricks on his country than he's going to do on foreign soil."

His father, Baron Hagel, was also tormented by the hostage of Lady Constance and the two princes, but he was disappointed that Sir Siegfried of the Kingdom of Iran had murdered them when he took them into exile.

But Hagel, who succeeded the Baron in his father's death, earned the trust of the former King Georg and had been in a high position since his youth. Three years after the death of former King Georg, we have not yet been able to eliminate fanatical old imperialists like the Barons of Hagel.

Some of the fanatical old imperialists also mixed many pure patriots, including many of the heavy ministers, so they could not be exhausted, etc. Besides, Baron Hagel couldn't fire King Edoardo of the Kingdom of Cazaria because he was on bad terms from his parents because he was also appreciated for his work at the Foreign Ministry, for letting him have his mistress Penelope.

"This ridiculous suspicious document...... an outing, maybe Baron Hagel's ruse. He's good at using these seemingly ridiculous schemes. He looks like his father..."

His father, Baron Hagel, also set up a seemingly ridiculous ploy over and over again against the Iranian kingdom to summon Yuri to Baroa Castle and Prince Gregorius to Cairon for a cautious mention. This suspicious document is also seemingly ridiculous, but King Rudolph and Count Cunningham face to face that it may be a precursor to something bigger.

"Your Majesty, this may be your chance to catch Baron Hagel's root. I don't know what you're plotting, but I'm sure he's masterful. Let him swim a little and we'll execute him."

King Rudolph laughs bitterly at the radical words of the warm Count Cunningham on a daily basis.

"I don't even want to. First of all, I don't even know if Hagel is plotting anything... but maybe he's just harassing the Alexeis who caused his father's death. But it's a good idea to have Hagel's trends monitored. It's time for your father's heirs to retire. We must at least end this so that Alexei's hands don't get dirty."

Count Cunningham, under the orders of King Rudolph, is determined to find evidence leading to the conspiracy of the Barons of Hagel.

Rudolph worried about Misha after Count Cunningham left the room. Since Alexei and the others returned home, I have refrained from seeing too many peeves, but I hope that Misha, who is 13 years old, will not be unhappy.

"I wish I could give my wife to someone I can trust... I hope each of Alexei and the others is doing well..."

Rudolph, his father, sighs that Alexei and Ariena are floating a little from the nobles in the country and that it would have been nice to have Constance on the side to talk to him about Narcisse's marriage.

"Constance will forgive my betrayal..."

King Rudolph laughs bitterly at the selfish delusions he made even to the bastard. But as for Ariena, I was in trouble without any advice on what was wrong with the man himself, so I wish Constance had been on my side as queen, which I sincerely regret.

"Crown Princess Ariena is too good for everything. I would appreciate it if you would wield innocent cheer like Princess Rosina and keep the nobles in a good mood..."

Even if only the princess of the victorious kingdom of Irania were to be married to the defeated kingdom of Laurent, the nobles of the country were inspired by the complex, Crown Princess Ariena was a knight of the dragon of bonds, too good at even terrible beauty, clarity of mind, martial arts, and too little defense.

"And that wedding!

Rudolph frowns remembering Prince Alexei's wedding, which turned out scattered.

Crown Princess Ariena, dressed in a gorgeous and stunning wedding dress not available in the Kingdom of Laurent, had a truly beautiful and difficult atmosphere to get close to. King Rudolph remembers and gets angry even though the nobles with subtle feelings for the king and his wife, who were enemies, behaved politely until the wedding.

"Why did the Kingdom of Savannah and the Kingdom of Surah have to confront the sorcerer at Alexei's wedding!

In a sudden thunder and storm that devoured the incitement of a sorcerer confrontation between the Kingdom of Surah and the Kingdom of Savannah, the elderly nobles begin and end to say that this marriage is cursed. The parade of carriages planned to boost the friendly mood between the two countries was also cancelled, and the folks of Cairon, who were in celebratory mode at the royal wedding, went home with thunder and storm.

Luncheons and balls at the Royal Palace turned out to be shady, as if they were overnight. Ariena, who followed from the wedding, has since remained a subtle distance from the nobles of the Kingdom of Laurent for a year.

Rudolph had been explained that Alexei would invite Prince Shaw to finance the recast of Dakat gold coins to the Southeast Islands, but he wondered if it was impossible because it had a solid Ambassador Lillick on it.

King Rudolph feels the presence of King Aslan at the rear shield, not to mention the discovery of new routes, the development of Sands Island, the development of Chennai trading hubs, the landfill wharf of Leyte and successive huge projects, but not alone.

"Of course Prince Shaw is excellent, but it is King Aslan and his ministers who are making the Prince's ideas come true. I'm weak as the back shield of Alexei, but I need to let him loosen his shoulders a little..."

Seriously worried about the state of the people, Alexei seriously considered saving money on the waste of the Royal Palace and turned off the heating of the unused rooms. The incompetent aristocrats who stood in the royal palace because of no errands were drawn to the territory or mansion, but the bureaucrats are locked in their rooms, and the samurai and the ladies remain in their coats, and King Rudolph feels overdone.

Alexei came back from the hunt when I was thinking about it.

"Father, I brought venison home from the hunting grounds. It's venison steak tonight. My complexion is not good, but I also had seizures..."

Rudolph thought a little to Alexei, wearing the scent of snow, who almost said he didn't need to worry.

"The temperature difference from the hallway is good for the body."

Reflecting on himself for failing to manage the physical condition of his haphazardly frail father, Alexei promises to put heating in the hallway as well. Rudolph nods that this will make it a little easier for the bureaucrats to work as well.

"You're not here to see me about venison. Guess I need to talk to you about something."

Alexei hesitated not to be ill, but was prompted to speak out.

"The Southeast Islands are not in the mood for the Dakat gold coin thing, are they? But I've come to say that I want to import more wood, and I've given it to my rivals in the Kingdom of Cazaria."

Rudolph leans his neck that it would be far from the northwest of the Kingdom of Cazaria.

"He said he was closer than before on the new route, and that he was planning to build a shipyard at the Chennai Trade Base... I wish I had built a shipyard in my country..."

Rudolph thought that if the shipyard was built, he could have a place to work, but bumps into the doubt that he doesn't have as good a shipbuilding technique as the Southeast Islands.

"Shipbuilding technology in our country won't make a very good ship. I hear that ships built at Leyte's shipyard are traded at high prices, even when they are used."

Alexei explains her thoughts to her father.

"If that works, it's going to be our country's core industry in the future, but will the Southeast Islands build a shipyard?

To Rudolph's concern, Prince Shaw and Ambassador Lillick bitterly laugh that Alexei, who had suspected he wanted himself to come up with this proposal, would probably be fine.
