At that moment, Jack also made his move. His palm shot out to intercept Lin Kuang’s right hand, attempting to block the attack.

Seeing this, Lin Kuang couldn’t help but sneer. Although his opponent was a vampire, his Level wasn’t high. He was an Earl at most, which posed no threat to Lin Kuang whatsoever.

SMACK!

An incredibly loud slap echoed through the store. The blow sent Jack flying, and his body slammed harshly to the ground.

Jack was completely stunned. My palm clearly blocked his, so how was I still hit? This... this isn’t normal!

"A mere vampire Earl dares to challenge me? Boy, you truly have a death wish."

Gazing at Jack on the ground, Lin Kuang’s cold words reached him via Sound Transmission.

Hearing Lin Kuang’s words, Jack’s entire body shook violently. "You... you, how did you know?"

At this point, Jack’s gentlemanly demeanor had vanished, replaced by a terrified gaze fixed on Lin Kuang.

He had never imagined his identity would be exposed.

"How do I know? If I want to know something, I find out. Now, get out of my sight, or don’t blame me for getting rough," Lin Kuang said coldly, giving Jack a final glance.

There were too many people around, and Lin Kuang didn’t want to cause a scene.

Hearing Lin Kuang’s ultimatum, Jack didn’t say another word. He scrambled up from the floor, shot Lin Kuang one last glance with his reddened eyes, and then turned to flee. His retreating figure looked utterly pathetic.

Watching Jack leave, Lin Kuang returned to Lin Guo’er’s side.

"Darling, let’s keep going. Let’s not let that guy spoil our mood," Lin Kuang said with a smile.

"Mm, will there be any trouble?" Lin Guo’er asked softly.

"Don’t worry, there won’t be any trouble. Let’s continue," Lin Kuang said with a laugh. A mere Earl was of no concern to him, though he still didn’t know which faction Jack belonged to.

The thought of the Blood Clan instinctively brought Britney to his mind. I wonder how she’s doing now... That woman was incredibly important to him. In fact, without the Britney he’d known back then, the Lin Kuang of today wouldn’t even exist.

"What are you thinking about?" After paying for their items, Lin Guo’er couldn’t help but ask with a smile when she saw Lin Kuang’s distracted expression.

"Ah, it’s nothing. Come on, let’s keep shopping," Lin Kuang said with a smile.

Lin Guo’er nodded, and the two resumed their shopping trip.

This time, they didn’t run into any more troublemakers. After all, not everyone was as eager to cause trouble as the Blood Clan.

By evening, Lin Kuang’s card was nearly maxed out, a testament to just how much the two of them had bought. No, to be precise, how much Lin Guo’er had bought.

"Oh, I’m exhausted! Honey, can we get something to eat?" Lin Guo’er said playfully, looking at Lin Kuang, who was laden with shopping bags.

"Alright, but look at me. Can I even eat like this? I’ll take these bags to the car first, and then we’ll eat," Lin Kuang said with a wry smile.

"That’s true. Go on, then. I’ll wait here for you, and we’ll eat together when you get back," Lin Guo’er said with a beaming smile.

"You... you weren’t tired at all while we were shopping, but now that it’s over, you’re suddenly exhausted, huh?" Lin Kuang said with a helpless sigh. "Alright, wait here for me. I’ll be right back." He then turned and left.

Watching Lin Kuang leave, Lin Guo’er giggled to herself and sat down to wait quietly.

Upon reaching the car, Lin Kuang opened the door and tossed all the shopping bags inside. Nearly ten minutes passed before he returned to the spot where he had left Lin Guo’er.

However, when he got back, she was gone.

Seeing this, Lin Kuang’s expression changed in an instant. He unleashed his powerful Perception, sending it surging in all directions. In that moment, he detected the distinct aura of blood.

Damn you, Blood Clan! You’re courting death! he thought coldly. Standing motionless with his eyes closed, he used his powerful Perception to search for Lin Guo’er’s aura.

A moment later, Lin Kuang’s eyes snapped open.

He could no longer afford to care about causing a scene. He executed Extreme Shadow Illusion and shot off toward the southeast.

The pedestrians on the street were astonished to see him suddenly vanish. Some screamed in fright, shouting that they had just seen a ghost.

Lin Kuang sprinted at top speed in furious pursuit, rapidly closing the distance to his target.

Meanwhile, Lin Guo’er was unconscious, slung over the back of none other than Jack. Running beside him was a middle-aged man with an indifferent, silent expression.

"He’s catching up," the middle-aged man said. His cold tone made Jack feel a pang of fear.

"Your Grace, what do we do now?" Jack asked hurriedly. The man was a Duke, while he was merely an Earl; the difference in their status was immense.

"Keep moving," the Duke said, his tone calm and cold. "There are too many people here. We’ll lead him to a secluded place before we deal with him."

Jack nodded, and the two of them quickly ducked down a side street, heading for a more remote area.

Lin Kuang pursued them relentlessly from behind. His immense Perception had already locked onto their positions, making escape impossible.

Within minutes, Lin Kuang had them in his sights: Jack and the Duke, with Lin Guo’er still on Jack’s back.

Killing intent flashed in Lin Kuang’s eyes, though it was mixed with confusion. He frowned, wondering. Are the members of the Blood Clan really this interested in beautiful women, or is there more to this? Jack’s behavior back at the store was far too eager. It seemed like there was more to it than simply trying to woo Guo’er.

"You can’t escape. You might as well stop running," Lin Kuang called out calmly as he continued to close the distance.

The Duke was surprised to see Lin Kuang catching up so easily. The Blood Clan held a distinct advantage in speed, so for Lin Kuang to be even faster than them was genuinely shocking.

Still, speed is just speed. Ultimately, it all comes down to strength. I refuse to believe his power surpasses mine. I am a Duke, after all!

With this thought, the Duke stopped in his tracks. Jack quickly halted as well, and they both turned to face Lin Kuang.

"A Duke of the Blood Clan?" Lin Kuang asked coolly, eyeing the man before him.

"Correct. I am Duke Klabo," he stated indifferently, as if everything was under his control. "I have no wish to fight you, Easterner. Hand over this woman, and I will let you leave."
