Unrivaled Soldier in the City

Chapter 749 - 750: Current Situation of the Blood Clan

Seeing this, Jack fiercely threw Lin Guo’er aside. At the same time, he rapidly retreated, desperate to escape.

A cold, murderous intent flashed in Lin Kuang’s eyes as he watched Jack’s retreat. How could he let the man who kidnapped his woman leave? As for the promise he’d just made, he would pretend it never happened. There was no need to keep his word to a member of the Blood Clan, especially one who had committed such an act.

With that thought, Lin Kuang dashed forward, scooping the unconscious Lin Guo’er into his arms. In the same motion, he hurled his Nameless Sword.

BUZZ. BUZZ.

The Nameless Sword vibrated through the air, appearing behind Jack in a flash.

Jack sensed the danger behind him, but before he could dodge, the Nameless Sword plunged fiercely into his back and pierced through his body.

"You... you went back on your word!" Jack gasped, turning around, his face deathly pale.

"Oh? But you’re not dead yet, are you?" Lin Kuang replied, calmly walking up to Jack while holding Lin Guo’er.

At that moment, Jack gasped for air. Though not yet dead, he was critically injured and his life was fading fast.

"What... what do you want?" Jack rasped, looking up at Lin Kuang.

"Nothing much. Just a few questions," Lin Kuang said coolly, looking down at him. "Which Clan are you from?"

"I... I’m from the Fanzhuo Clan," Jack stammered. He didn’t dare lie; he knew it would earn him a miserable death.

"Oh? The Fanzhuo Clan? A member of the Secret Alliance?" Lin Kuang asked calmly.

"Yes, that’s right. The Secret Alliance," Jack confirmed.

"Good. It seems you aren’t lying. In that case, you must know Britney. How has she been recently?" Lin Kuang asked.

Jack flinched. "You... you know Britney?"

"Of course I know her," Lin Kuang said, his tone turning icy. "No more nonsense. Tell me her current situation."

"Alright, alright! A few days ago, Britney returned to the Tuobingduo Clan, and news spread that she had fused with Cain’s left hand.

"Theoretically, having fused with Cain’s left hand, Britney is now the Blood Emperor of our generation, able to command both the Secret and Demon Banquet Alliances.

"However, the two alliances have existed for over a thousand years and are filled with countless masters. It’s naturally very difficult for her to take control.

"What’s more, some members of the Blood Clan don’t even listen to her. After so many years of development, some Clans have forgotten the mighty Cain.

"There are even many who want to kill Britney to fuse with Cain’s left hand for themselves.

"So, Britney’s current situation isn’t good at all. Her life is in danger at any moment.

"It’s not just her. The entire Tuobingduo Clan is in grave danger," Jack explained.

This was common knowledge, and Jack was certainly aware of it. After all, this was the biggest event for the Blood Clan in millennia!

Hearing Jack’s words, Lin Kuang’s expression turned grim. According to him, Britney was in extreme danger; one wrong move could be fatal. Coupled with the burden of her clan, her situation was incredibly precarious.

"Where is Britney now? Is she still with the Tuobingduo Clan?" Lin Kuang demanded, looking down at the man at his feet.

"I don’t know. It’s as if Britney vanished into thin air, and the Tuobingduo Clan’s whereabouts have also become erratic. Both the Secret Alliance and the Demon Banquet Alliance are searching for them now. If they’re found, I’m afraid it will trigger a massive battle," Jack said cautiously.

Of course, Jack didn’t mention that if Britney were found, her fate would be certain death, as all those dispatched to find her were masters. Although Jack didn’t say it, Lin Kuang had already guessed as much—he wasn’t a fool.

Lin Kuang frowned, thinking of Britney’s plight. What frustrated him most was his inability to help. He simply couldn’t aid Britney with his current Skyline strength; not unless he reached the level of Three Flowers Gathering at the Top. It seems I’m still too weak. If I were stronger, I could just help Britney eliminate those opponents. Then she would be safe. he thought helplessly.

"One more question. Where is your temporary assembly point in New York?" Lin Kuang said, his voice dropping low. "Don’t even think about lying to me, or I’ll make you understand the meaning of a fate worse than death."

Jack’s eyes flickered, but he quickly yielded under Lin Kuang’s oppressive gaze.

"Alright, I’ll tell you." Jack then told Lin Kuang the location of their temporary assembly point in New York.

Lin Kuang nodded. "Good. Who’s the strongest person there?"

"An Elder," Jack replied hastily. "The strongest is an Elder from my Fanzhuo Clan."

"Oh? An Elder? It seems you people take this place quite seriously," Lin Kuang noted coolly. "Very good. Thank you for answering my questions. Our time is up. I’ll see you off."

Then, under Jack’s horrified gaze, Lin Kuang brought a palm down on his head, killing him instantly.

He withdrew Nameless from the corpse. Not a single drop of blood stained its sharp blade. After sheathing the sword at his waist, Lin Kuang left with Lin Guo’er.

Once they were back on the main street, Lin Kuang woke Lin Guo’er. She came to groggily, shifting in his arms and rubbing her neck.

"What happened? It feels like I fell asleep," Lin Guo’er mumbled, looking at Lin Kuang in confusion.

"You were probably just tired and dozed off," Lin Kuang said with a smile. "Come on, let’s get something to eat."

"Really? That doesn’t sound right," Lin Guo’er said, her brow furrowed in suspicion. "I remember my neck hurting, and then I was out. Did something happen?"

"It was nothing serious. Come on, let’s go eat. I’ll tell you about it over dinner," Lin Kuang said with a smile.

Lin Guo’er could only nod; she was quite hungry, after all. The two found a Chinese restaurant, ordered a few dishes, and began to eat.

During the meal, Lin Kuang briefly explained what had just happened. However, he left out the fact that Klabo and Jack were vampires, not wanting to frighten her.

"So that’s what happened! That damn bastard Angel!" Lin Guo’er huffed, thoroughly annoyed. "He looked like such a gentleman, but to think he’d do something so vile."
