"Alright, it’s all over now. Stop dwelling on it and eat. Once we’re done, we’ll head back," Lin Kuang said with a laugh, comforting the annoyed Lin Guo’er.

"Mm, I know. It’s just so frustrating," Lin Guo’er said, her expression softening as she looked at Lin Kuang. "Still, my husband is amazing. You scared them all away."

"Of course," Lin Kuang replied with a mischievous grin. "So, does that mean I get a proper reward tonight?"

Hearing this, Lin Guo’er shot him an annoyed look. "Jerk, that’s all you ever think about. Fine, you can do whatever you want tonight, alright?" As she spoke, she gave him a playful wink.

"You said it," Lin Kuang said, his smile widening. "No taking it back later."

"Of course not. I always keep my word," Lin Guo’er huffed.

"I believe you. My dear Guo’er is a true heroine, after all," Lin Kuang chimed in with a grin.

"Hmph, that’s so fake. You don’t mean a word of it," Lin Guo’er pouted, rolling her eyes.

"I was just joking. Did you actually take it seriously?" Lin Kuang said, looking a little helpless.

"You jerk!" Lin Guo’er exclaimed, her face flushing red. This guy is the worst, always teasing me!

"Haha, okay, okay, my Guo’er is the best. Now let’s eat," Lin Kuang said with a placating smile.

Hearing that, Lin Guo’er huffed in discontent, but deep down, she was still very happy.

After they finished their meal, the two left Fifth Avenue and drove straight to the Wumi Building. Luckily, they were in a Mercedes van. If they had been driving a sports car, there’s no way it would have fit all their shopping bags.

Over half an hour later, Lin Kuang and Lin Guo’er arrived back at the Wumi Building. After unloading all their things, they went directly to the underground space and returned to their room.

"Guo’er, wait here for a minute. I’m going to go up and talk to Zhang Tianshun about something," Lin Kuang said with a smile, looking at her sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Oh, okay. Come back soon," Lin Guo’er replied with a smile.

Lin Kuang nodded, then went up to the ground level and found Zhang Tianshun.

"Mr. Zhang, any news from the Fan Family?" Lin Kuang asked with a smile.

"Yes, there is," Zhang Tianshun said, his expression turning grave. "It has been confirmed that the Fan Family is indeed colluding with the Demon Sect. We’re still investigating whether Fan Wudao himself is a member. If it’s confirmed that he is, then masters from the Ancient Martial Realm will arrive, and one of our own building’s Guardian Elders will also be dispatched."

Lin Kuang nodded. So the Fan Family really is in cahoots with the Demon Sect.

"Mr. Zhang, one more thing," Lin Kuang continued, "does the Wumi Building have any intelligence on the Blood Clan’s movements?"

Zhang Tianshun paused for a moment before nodding. "Yes, we do. We have people monitoring the Blood Clan, as well as the Werewolves, the Dark Council, and other such organizations. They are all under our surveillance. You see, our eyes and ears are on every well-known organization in the world. That is the strength of the Wumi Building, and it’s why we’ve stood strong for so many years without falling. With the intelligence we possess, no one dares to make a move against us," he declared with immense pride.

Upon hearing Zhang Tianshun’s words, Lin Kuang’s blood ran hot with excitement, and he felt a profound sense of shock. Although he was already aware of the Wumi Building’s power, hearing Zhang Tianshun lay it out so plainly still stirred his heart. This is the power of the Wumi Building. This is what makes it so formidable!

"Worthy of the name Wumi Building. Truly impressive," Lin Kuang couldn’t help but say.

"Ahem, Mr. Lin, perhaps I got a bit carried away," Zhang Tianshun said with utmost solemnity. "But I wasn’t lying. The Wumi Building is an extremely powerful organization on the world stage."

Lin Kuang smiled and nodded. "I know. I never thought you were boasting. The Wumi Building truly has that kind of strength."

Hearing this, Zhang Tianshun smiled and nodded in return.

"By the way, Mr. Lin, why do you ask? Is there something you need to do?" Zhang Tianshun inquired.

"Yes, there is," Lin Kuang confirmed. "You know of Britney, right?"

Zhang Tianshun’s expression sharpened. "Yes, of course I do. She was originally the daughter of the Tuobingduo Clan’s Leader and also their Saintess. She has now obtained Cain’s left hand and successfully fused with it. Theoretically, that makes her the new Blood Emperor of the Blood Clan. Lin Kuang’s face was grim as he nodded. "Exactly. And Britney is my woman. So, I need to trouble you, Mr. Zhang, to please keep an eye out for her. Notify me the instant you have any news of her whereabouts."

Zhang Tianshun was slightly taken aback. That was news to him. The new Blood Emperor of the Blood Clan is Lin Kuang’s woman? That’s... that’s incredible!

"Alright, you can rest assured, Mr. Lin," Zhang Tianshun said earnestly. "Since she is one of yours, we will definitely make it a priority. We will notify you the moment we have any information."

"Thank you, Mr. Zhang. Also, I plan to make a move tonight. I’m going to wipe out the Blood Clan’s base of operations here in New York," Lin Kuang said after a moment’s thought. "Since I can’t help Britney directly right now, perhaps I can at least divert some of the Blood Clan’s attention. It might help her."

"I see," Zhang Tianshun mused. "That’s a viable approach. The one stationed in New York is a Blood Clan Elder. The death of an Elder would certainly get the attention of their upper echelons."

"That’s what I’m counting on," Lin Kuang said with a smile.

"Do you need our people to assist? If so, I can arrange it immediately," Zhang Tianshun offered.

"No, that won’t be necessary. I’m more than enough to take them down. After all, it’s just one Blood Clan Elder," Lin Kuang said with a confident laugh.

"Very well," Zhang Tianshun said after a brief pause. "I’ll have my people keep a constant watch on the location. If anything unexpected happens, I’ll send men to assist you."

"Good. Thank you for your trouble, Mr. Zhang," Lin Kuang said as he stood up. "I’ll head back now. I’ll make my move in a few hours."

"Alright. I won’t see you out," Zhang Tianshun said with a smile.

Lin Kuang smiled, nodded, and turned to leave the room, taking the elevator back down to the underground space.
