"Stop being such a dog!" Jannah spat, her face burning like molten copper as she yanked her wrist free from his grasp.

Dorrent let out a quiet, rumbling chuckle, straightening his back slightly while keeping his gaze pinned on her flushed features. "Alright, fine. Back to the main subject then. Where do you want to go on this date?"

Jannah crossed her arms tightly over her chest, tilting her chin up with a defiant, mocking sneer. "Oh, really? Any place at all? Will you take me to the moon if that’s where I’ve been dreaming of going?"

Dorrent didn’t even hesitate. His lips curved into a confident, arrogant smirk. "Try me, little omega. If you want to go to the moon, I will buy the rocket and take you there today."

Jannah stared at him in utter disbelief before letting out a loud scoff. "You are completely mad! And besides... too bad there’s absolutely nothing good to see up there anyway!"

"Of course there would be something good to see there," Dorrent countered smoothly, his eyes gleaming with dark, playful mischief.

Jannah’s brow furrowed. "What could possibly be good to see on a lifeless rock in space?"

Dorrent tilted his head, gesturing casually toward himself with a wicked grin. "Me. I will be the good thing to look at. Am I not exceptionally pleasing to the eyes?"

Jannah’s tongue froze in her mouth. She opened her lips to unleash a wave of harsh insults, but as her eyes swept over his face, the words completely died in her throat.

Under the soft bedroom light, Dorrent’s facial features were almost unnaturally perfect. His sharp, impeccably structured jawline looked as though it had been carved from marble by a master sculptor. His high cheekbones, straight, noble nose, full lips, and those striking, intense silver eyes created a fierce, breathtaking aesthetic of pure Alpha dominance. He was undeniably, infuriatingly handsome.

Against her own will, an embarrassing thought slipped through Jannah’s mental defenses: He really is ridiculously hot... How on earth is a man like this so utterly obsessed with me?

Dorrent caught the tiny, subtle hesitation in her eyes, watching the way her gaze lingered over his lips and jawline. A slow, supremely self-satisfied smirk spread across his face. "Do you like what you see, Jannah?"

Jannah snapped back to reality instantly, her face bursting into a brilliant shade of crimson. Reaching out in panic, she pinched his straight nose hard between her knuckles, wringing it slightly.

"You are just ordinary!" Jannah lied loudly, her voice trembling with embarrassed fury. "What is so unique about your face anyway?! You’re completely average!"

"Ouch," Dorrent grunted playfully, catching her wrist and gently pulling her hand away from his nose, though he didn’t let go of her fingers. "You shouldn’t take this face for granted, little physician. It turns heads on every single street I walk down."

"You are an insufferable narcissist!" Jannah cursed, trying to pull her hand back.

"Maybe," Dorrent purred, leaning his face right back into her space until their noses almost brushed. "But I especially like it when I turn your head. When you can’t help but look twice at me, just like you were doing two seconds ago."

He paused, his voice dropping into a low purr that vibrated straight into her soul. "Tell me... what are you always thinking when you look at me like that? Are you thinking that I came straight from the angels? Because why else would your beast look so damn good?"

Jannah let out a bitter, breathy scoff, though her eyes couldn’t hide the intense flutter in her chest. "It is indeed a tragic waste of good features on a monster like you!"

Dorrent’s smirk widened into a brilliant, handsome smile. "At least you agree that I am handsome." He shifted his stance, his silver eyes flashing with explicit charm. "Then what about body-wise, Jannah? Care to give your honest review on—"

Before he could finish his sentence, Jannah slapped her small, warm palm flat over his mouth, shutting him up completely.

"Enough with the body praise talk, you utter narcissist!" Jannah yelled through her teeth, her chest heaving as she glared at him. "If you don’t have anything else decent to talk about, then get the hell out of my room!"

Dorrent chuckled against her palm, his warm breath tickling her skin. He gently grabbed her wrist, pulling her hand away from his lips, though he kept his gaze fixed on her stubborn face.

"You still haven’t answered my question, Jannah," Dorrent reminded her, his voice returning to a grounded, serious tone. "Where should I take you on a date?"

Jannah looked at his unyielding, expectant expression. A sudden, clever idea sparked in her mind, a playful smirk touching the corner of her lips.

"I would like to go to many places," Jannah began slowly, her dark eyes flashing with a sharp, challenging light. "But... I want to challenge you today, Alpha Grefo. Let’s see if you really like me as much as you claimed earlier. If you truly know me very well, you should be able to figure out the exact place I would love to go and what I would love to do. If you have ever paid attention to a single thing I’ve ever told you... you will choose the event and the location for me yourself."

Dorrent stared down at her clever, daring face for a long beat. A quiet wave of admiration washed through his chest, his eyes darkening with intense satisfaction.

"Clever girl..." Dorrent purred low, a slow, dangerous smile spreading across his lips. "I will ensure you love every single second of what I have planned for you today."

He smoothly stood up to his full, towering height, adjusting the cuffs of his shirt as he looked down at her sitting on the bed. "Now... what about the educational trip to GeeCee country next week? Are you tagging along or not?"

Jannah crossed her arms, tilting her chin up as she gave him a cold, stern warning. "If you dare leave me behind in this suffocating mansion while you go off to another country with your gorgeous secretary... you won’t find me here when you come back, Dorrent. I will disappear so fast you won’t even trace my shadow."

Dorrent froze for a microsecond before a low, deeply possessive, and wildly satisfied rumble escaped his chest. He leaned down one last time, pressing a swift, firm, and burning kiss straight onto her forehead before stepping back toward the bedroom door.

"That’s my clever wife," Dorrent purred darkly, his eyes flashing with warmth.
