Vermillion

68. Reporting

Through the woods my vision widened as soon as I went through.

Familiar blue skies and meadow greens. Kay feels comfortable with his shoulders.

Beyond the wooded fields, the pioneering village is surrounded by the walls of Marutai. One of the villagers waved at us after the attack on the "Grand Bear" from a lookout that it was newly built. They were waiting for Kay's return.

Village square.

A line that returned later than planned was soon surrounded by villagers and pedestrians.

"How was it?!

"How's the forest?

Asked everyone, the village chief (Elidoor) had a sinister face,

"It was a big fish………."

and removed many wheels of "Avis Pioneer" from the leather bag. A luxurious petal similar to that of a rose. Everyone groans with their heads in a bright blue colour that they don't think is from the world. Kay has also never been more pleased to be present with the Big Fish Report.

"Come on!

and a young voice echoed such inhabitants. Edda, who jumped off a Dutch carriage, rushes over with Statatata. He worried about me for a long time, and he held on to Kay with the momentum intact.

"Bullshit!? Wasn't it dangerous?

"Uh-huh... a bit of a herd of beasts attacked me, but I'm not hurt."

It will hurt when leather armor hits your face, but you won't leave me hanging in there. Pompom, and Kay made him grin as he stroked his habitual hairy head.

"Don't worry about it. Guys, there's not a scratch."

Eileen is good at putting her hands on her hips and saying, "Hmm." Sasquatch, who was as generous as his parents' in the shade nearby, also stood up in the air and started licking Pepper and Kay's cheeks all the time saying "annoying".

"Again, [Deep (Abyss)] erosion was progressing?

Holland walks up to me looking sideways at "The Pioneer of Abyss," listed by Elidoor, a face that doesn't float.

"…… oh. Unfortunately."

Holland looks over the village with a worried look when Kay agrees.

It was as if, in the meantime, we were going to burn this village to the eye.

Elidoah explains the results of her exploration to everyone, showcasing "The Pioneer of Abyss" and Chequer Chequer's nails. Checker Checker's green nails were visible in bright sunshine, and the park villagers breathed in its beauty, which literally emitted a different color.

Many of the residents were very worried about what would happen to this village in the future, but no clear conclusions have been drawn.

One line moves the place of discussion to the village chief's house.

Even during the "Big Bear" incident, Kay and the others were invited to this "Vaak Village" village chief's house, but the building was exceptionally better than the previous one, turning it into something almost separate. Apparently, the previous mansion was provisional.

A large round table was placed in the living room of the expanse, which was also available for meetings with a large number of people. There is a rustic metal chandelier down on the ceiling, as I saw one day at the village chief's house in Taaf village.

The discussion gathered Ellidoah, the village chief, several village faces, and pedestrians, including Holland. As advisors and [deep] "experts," Kay and Irene are likewise invited. Early after the exploration, but at least Elidoor doesn't seem willing to rest, the meeting started early. Everyone gets to the round table and starts off with a dose of herbal tea.

That said, this discussion will be dominated by business talks to get people to buy out 'harvests' in exploration rather than by meetings to determine the end of the village. In the first place, it is the Lords who can judge the future of the village, and Elidoor has no direct authority.

"'Checker Checker' … I didn't know there was such a beast"

One of the pedestrians grabs a green treasure ball from the table and looks down.

In the meantime, it's a lightly washed Checker Checker nail that was peeled off from my finger as a 'product' sample. Really, I just washed it with water and brushed it with a cloth, but the sun shines through the living room window.

"Interesting material."

"Not a complete spherical shape, but don't turn depending on the machining"

Holland and other merchants peering in from the side are intrigued. From the Kays "Modern Man," it's somewhat an artificial color reminiscent of plastic, but even that makes it one of the beauties in "Here".

"But you've never even heard of Chequer Chequer. How did you explain it to your customers even if you were selling it?"

"Don't you have a corpse of the beast body?

"It would also be easier to sell these nails if they were stripped and decorated in the store."

Merchants who don't know Checker Checker said that innocently, but the Explorer looks sinister, "No…".

"There are no bodies of beasts. Nearly a meter long and heavy, and most importantly, it stinks..."

No one wanted to hold it, Elidoor shook his head, but what was the Explorer's luggage carrier (porter) hiding? Kay and Irene were eye-catching for a moment, but I read the air and didn't have to say anything extra.

Incidentally, there was also an opinion on the ground that it would be better if there were also Checker Checker's body for reporting to the Lords, but it ultimately leads to the conclusion that "Abyss's Pioneer" would be sufficient.

"And... that... what?"

With a grumpy, short, hair-pruned head, Elidoor continues to look troubled.

"Checker Checker... could not be described as a stunning beast in flattery. Left in the barn, he's like a moldy old rag...... He was toying like a yarn... his hands and feet were like those of a dead old man, and it was creepy... I think decorating them just keeps the guests away."

"Is that so………………"

I shuddered Holland when he hit a good body with the right width to imagine the sight of a dozen of them wanting to stop by.

"As, well, that's fine. As for this nail and" The Pioneer of Abyss "..."

Moisten your mouth with herbal tea, regain your mind and Holland gets to the point.

"First of all, how do you intend to distribute these materials from your exploration?

Kay, stared straight at by Holland, puts on an arm and thinks.

"…… It's a difficult problem."

"… No, I don't think anything is difficult. At least all Checker Checker claws will belong to Kay and Irene"

What are you talking about? You just look like Elidoor. "Really?" When Kay tilts his neck, "Eileen also says," It's obvious, "as she shrugged.

I think Kay and I are the only ones who put them down.

"…… so is that."

Somehow, there was a feeling in Kay that we should distribute it fairly because we were all having an expedition (party). but Eileen is right if you ask me. Eridore and his companions have done nothing but stand like kakashi during the battle. You can tell me that all the credit goes to the Kays.

However, given the future of the village, I can feel free to take it all ourselves.

"Then, the rent means that the companion will be given…… one nail at a time"

"That helps. Thanks."

Eridore, who seems a little happy. When Kay caught a glimpse of Eileen on the side, she also seemed to have no particular differences. As for Kay, I felt like I could give him some more, but if I did too much, Irene would piss me off later.

Besides, in the future - I couldn't afford to sell the workforce any cheaper than Kay himself intends to make a living as a hunter. I have trouble getting a reputation for "getting rid of [deep] monsters and even offering free materials" etc.

Either way, this automatically led to the negotiation of the nails being led by the Kays. In relation to the Cornwell Chamber of Commerce, the Hollanders will not imitate what they would buy on this occasion. That way, there's only one thing, but Elidoor and hunter Marc can also get their nails bought off at the right price. Kay thought it would be a good addition to the funds at all.

"So what about 'Abyss's Pioneer'?

"……… As a result, fifteen shares could be collected"

Elidoor takes' Avis Pioneer 'out of the leather bag and arranges it on the table. I tend to get the wrong idea because fine flowers bloom, but it's the leaves, not the petals, that contain a lot of medicinal ingredients. Collected include blooming ones or those without buds or flowers. These, which have no landmark flowers and are difficult to discern, have been found mainly by Eileen.

"Divided... First, I would like to divide the (d) stock into villages. The forest around here is so that our village of Vaak can hunt and collect freely, the lord… and hence the awe has been greatly forgiven by His Majesty the King. The law stipulates that between 10% and 20% of the harvest can be divided into villages."

With that said, Elidoor first shifts Ni stock to the side softly of "The Pioneer of Avis". I guess what he is saying is correct because no one disputed the words of Elidoor, who frowned on the letter (c).

"I would therefore like to make a proposal to divide the remaining thirteen stocks fairly in the exploratory group. Calculated as 2.6 shares per head…………………"

"Wait a minute. Four of those strains, the one that's hard to find because the flowers aren't blooming, I picked them up, right?

It was Irene who pinched her mouth.

"Besides, since we got to the ground, Kay's the one who found the bump first, right? Without our help, it would have taken more time to collect, and we wouldn't have found so many. Can we have a little more 'fair' division?

"Indeed. Yes, you are."

With her eyebrows in the letter (c), but without moving into Eileen's scratch, Elidoor nodded.

"Now let's give the two of them these two shares, which are supposed to be the whole village's share, in gratitude from the village. I'm so sorry for the whispering..."

And then shift the two shares I just split, now softly to the Kays.

"We also pay some of the grace we get from the surrounding woods as taxes. These two stocks are supposed to be filled up for you... now I want you to give me a break."

At first glance, Kay seemed to laugh more than she could imagine, with a pitiful look on her face. Not if I'm laughing because I'm never another HR, but the merchants around me are also biting off laughs at the Ellidoor theory. But only because of the circumstances, it's hard to say "let it out a little bit more" here.

Eileen roared, "Ah," or "uh-huh," and nodded bitterly at the throw, "Whoa, that's fine.

"Thank you."

Elidoah joins hands to pray, bowing her head deeply to show gratitude.

The air was slightly loose and the harp tone was heard from outside the window. It's a relaxing, calming tune. This is followed by a clear young man singing. Is it Joaquin's plan to comfort the anxious villagers?

"…… but do we divide it fairly between the five of us?

And, rarely, Holland pinched his mouth to steam back a cohesive story.

"Something wrong………?

to Elidoor, who looks suspicious, Holland shook his head in a slight panic,

"No, when it comes to the five of us, does that include Joaquin? He just seemed to follow with curiosity... it was rare this time and I was wondering if he had contributed anything. 'Cause he probably wouldn't do anything if he followed him."

Perhaps something similar has happened before. The merchants are grinning with some sinister faces.

"That is……"

"Well......"

"Yes..."

Kay Eileen Elidoor, the explorer group for this occasion, looked at each other as troubled.

Sure, Joaquin hasn't done anything in particular, if you ask me. I mean, it didn't have to be said, in fact, Kay, Irene, and probably Elidoor felt that way thinly.

"… well, thanks to Joaquin's husband, you didn't have to get bored on the road"

He talked and sang a lot, and Eileen shrugged her shoulders.

"Plus, he helped me with the sampling..."

In retrospect of Chequer Chequer's stripping, Kay.

"Because he would probably make the crisis in this village a song and spread it in the future... as the head of the village, even in that direction, I would like to get along"

Saying so, Elidoor closed.

In the end, Joaquin was given a fair share, too.

Where distribution has been decided, we enter into negotiations for a specific price. Here again, as a result of Eridore's unexpected bargaining skills and his bidding to attract prices for various herbs and ornaments, the deal was closed at a higher price than the Kays had assumed.

Kay's share alone cost nearly fifty silver coins, with more than thirty Chequer Chequer claws and seven shares of profits for two "Avis Pioneers" combined. In fact, it is equivalent to the price of the demonic props that Eileen plans to sell.

Payment was made on this occasion for the village side, and Kay's share was to be settled upon arrival in Satina. He's still in the middle of a deal, so he can't give him a ton of silver coins. The Kays also agreed to it because they didn't have to worry about it fitting the scam.

"All you have to do is take the 'Avis Pioneer' Marc found and go to the Lords for a report."

Eridore sighs tired as she rinses herbal tea.

"Is Lord Sama in Wolvern?

"Right. As for this village... it will take the form that I am putting together instead"

To Eileen's doubts, nod to discipline, Elidoor.

By the way, geographically speaking, the village of Vaak is more situated next to the lakeside town of Euria than the "capital" fortress city of Wolvern, but since it belongs to Wolvern's territory, various reports will be heading that way.

"When it comes to [deep] erosion in boulders, it's not just a question of the village fitting in. Without the Lord's judgment, there is no way to deal with it……"

"Let's give it up."

"Even tomorrow morning."

The village faculty members who didn't say anything until now start discussing the appointment of a messenger.

"But is it something you can believe? I can't believe it's [deep] erosion..."

"... back in the day, it could have been accompanied by a smile. But there was something about Lord Hero and the Bear. I think you can ignore it if you sue me with evidence."

Elidoor replies with a bitter laugh to Kay's concerns.

"At one point, I was even joking about changing my name to" The Grand Bear "instead of" The Village of Vaak ", but it wasn't funny anymore..."

haha............ and a dry laugh eli door, together with difficulty in reacting.

"... Whatever, 'The Pioneer of Abyss' is quite valuable. Even though I need proof, I feel kind of spared having to take it."

Change the subject, Kay.

"Instead, I hope they take only the 'Avis Pioneer' of the evidence and squeeze the report......"

A casual bias, but Kay didn't have a very good impression of doing so with a lord living in Wolvern. Personally, I have a stereotype of "a good lord with his inhabitants," so I have to wonder what it's like to live in a remote city in a leisurely and comfortable way, even as a mono-exchange figure.

There was talk of taxes pinched in his ear earlier, and Kay, who somehow imagines a typical "nobleman," feared that the lord might decide to ignore him in this critical situation.

But when Kay expressed her concern, everyone but Irene said, "Hmm?" and lean his neck.

And I put it down for a beat and pounded my hand like Elidoor was good at something "oh".

"Really... Speaking of which, don't the Kays know? What, you don't have to worry about lords like that..."

Ellidoor laughed as if she was obliquely inclined, unlike her usual appearance of being rustic.

"Anyway, the lord is my father."
