Chapter 1524: Head of the Army

……

A square tower stands in the direction of Cairo facing Gisey. The square tower is composed mostly of glass crystals made of special materials. In the light of the sun, the square tower does not reflect that blinding flash, but rather absorbs it.

By night, when the glow of the dark blue envelops the earth, this square tower will also be able to release countless times more enhanced and accumulated light that, while not capable of killing the Death Spirit, can make the effect of the glow disappear for a short time.

Ancient Du's dead spirits rely on death for their actions, while Egyptian dead spirits are plutocratic, and the dead spirits cannot invade areas where they cannot be popularized.

Cairo has been hit by a large number of deadly attacks, including this one from the second Pyramid Hydra, several of which relied on the Fangta window to block sudden deadly attacks.

In the past few days, the dead spirits gradually appeared. The Snake Demon and Scorpion clans did not diminish in the slightest. All over Cairo, men were discussing the battlefield outside every street. At first, they were accustomed to gradually becoming less solid. An atmosphere of suspicion and anxiety prevailed in Cairo.

Fanta can be considered the most trustworthy guarantee in Cairo, and the whole long war has only just begun, forcing the Cairo government to use Fanta, the people are not stupid, and the situation can be judged by this convenience tower!

On the square tower, there is a command similar to the shape of a small pyramid.

At headquarters, Commander Sass stood straight in the middle of an empty hall, about 30 metres apart in front of a window, a long, half-moon corner table with five positions, the seat of the five heads of the Cairo army ministry.

There are only two people in the command hall, one Sass, who dares not say a word with his head down, the other a middle-aged man sitting in the position of the biggest central head, a black face, full of old man prints, looking like a dying tree, without any anger, but his totally black eyes, sharp enough to make Sass look like a dangerous beast without even the courage to look at him!

“Do you now understand why you are still a regiment!” The cold-eyed head said softly.

“My subordinates are careless, and I didn't expect any of them to be superior, let alone..." Sass said.

“Never thought, never thought, how many times have I told you, the world is in the hands of people with brains, not like you with nothing but a manipulation that you can barely see!!” The cold-eyed head scolded.

Sass dared not speak, his body standing as straight as a soldier, but his hands on either side of his thigh still trembled slightly.

“Fortunately, it's a bunch of youngsters who have inadvertently interfered in our affairs, otherwise your head is soaking under my wine cellar!” The cold-eyed head said.

“Yes, yes… then Major General Gamma…” Sass whispered.

“Since their people are in our hands, they won't dare to kill him, it's just the European Academy… it's not very easy. Are the men you captured still alive?” The cold-eyed head asked.

“Everyone is alive. When my people find this group extremely powerful, they will not dare to easily extinguish it. I would like to ask you first.” Sass said hastily.

“How many unidentified vent containers do you have under your command?” The cold-eyed head said.

“This subordinate did not…” Sass was anxious to deny.

“Hmm, what's your weird habit? Do you think I don't know, Little Medusa? I think I'm angry now. You know what to do, soothe Little Medusa, and get rid of the escaped ones!” The cold-eyed head said.

“They fled too quickly, and their troops may not be able to find them.” Sas said.

“I'll send someone to deal with those things you don't know are dead and alive, and you write a report on the patrol that was attacked by unknown bandits, in case Hacken finds out about your problem with the private forces.” The cold-eyed head said.

“Yes, or was the head considerate.” Sas said.

Cold eyes snorted, and just as I was about to go on, the sound of military boots came out of the command hall.

Sass immediately turned around and found the door pushed open, dressed in a small old man about to drag his robe to the ground and walked in here.

Sass sees this man, hurried and busy courtesy, and the motion looks a little nervous.

The dwarf old man didn't even look at Sass and walked over to the half-moon corner table.

Sass turned his head back and found that the cold-eyed head had now moved from its right-centric dominant position to its most prominent position. The small elderly man's figure was very different from that of the cold-eyed head, but the small elderly man went all the way up to his right-centric seat and sat up.

This sitting, the little old man seemed to find something wrong, and he looked up at the frozen-eyed head next to him and said with some irony: “Do you like it here? ”

“Cairo has exhausted all your energy for decades, and it's time for you to go where there's no smoke, no glow, no dogs, no birds, and now you're fit to deal with these little animals, not the ruthless things that destroy our city.” The cold-eyed head said.

“I remember ten years ago, when you were only a Major General, your compliments made me think that you were truly sincere and bright, but ever since you sat here, it was as if you had been blindfolded by something, contaminated your heart, and I was really curious what made you look like this.” The little old man asked calmly.

“Probably because of the incompetence of some, probably the real choice of public opinion, probably because years do deprive people of courage and will.” The cold-eyed head said.

“So if Cairo is still safe after this battle, the next time you sit in my seat, I won't hesitate to abandon the heat on it that makes me uncomfortable. But the battlefield you're commanding seems to be a mess, and when I went to the street alone to buy a cup of tea, I heard a lot of people talking about your stupid, aggressive decision. I have an apprentice who unfortunately was assigned to your Pioneer Squad. Before the war, he promised Dandan that he would come back to celebrate my birthday. But last night I missed one of his gifts. I didn't hear him laugh in good faith. I had to eat the cake that Ben had left him, even though many sweets would make me die faster. Now, you take off your disguise and tell me, did you know he was gone before the war?” The short head narrated calmly.

“I was only trying to surprise me, he succeeded in sacrificing on the hands of the mummies, so I had to send my heart to top his position, my heart would not carry out the task easier than him, but often my people could live and accomplish the task.” The cold-eyed head said.

“Yeah, oddly enough, the demons are always friendly to your people.” Harken, the short head, sighed.

“The next wave of dead spirits will come with the demon snakes. I'll take over the command of this battle, and you will honor your disciples.” The cold-eyed head said.

“It's not up to you and me. By the way, you sent a group of people out on patrol yesterday, and my men saw Sass's army engaged with some magical people.” The short head asked.

“Back in the army, my men met a group of unwilling bandits, and when they questioned their identity, they did not give them a reasonable identity, and when they tried to bring them back, they suddenly attacked us, and we seized them.” Sass hastily explained.

“Oh, that's not worth mentioning anymore.” Shorty Head said.

“Yes, little things.” Sass nodded.

“Did you read General Fenner's report?” Little Harken asked.

“Seeing, pure celestial night tam, I vetoed and reprimanded her.” The cold-eyed head said.

“It's a little ridiculous indeed. ”

“It is indeed a very foolish decision to have such a little credit sidekick staff member come to Cairo Castle to become a general.” The cold-eyed head said.

“She just doesn't have a chance to be talented. ”

“She thought Egypt could be peaceful, and that was the most ridiculous idea.” The cold-eyed head said.

“Ethan, there's nothing wrong with that idea.” The head of the Hacken army said.

……

……

On the outskirts of Cairosi, Mofan, Heidi, Mulberry, Vanni and Apath continue to wander a few kilometres around the security line, and the twilight is approaching. Snake demons will become more frequent in their activities, and their eyes curse crazy attacks, often with low-level snake demons unexpectedly present at their sites.

“Goddamn it, the army wants us, we can get to Cairo. The army is there, and if we dare to go into the city, we will be surrounded by the regiment.” Varney was so angry, he said.

Beyond the cities rejected by mankind, the snake demons began to push harder, and several of them were in great difficulty.

“How could we be so absurd, knowing we were the victims, that in the end we became a bunch of unidentified assailants against the army!” Heidi was even more angry, and she never thought government forces could turn things upside down!

“It should have occurred to us now that we had to find a way through those armies into Cairo and tell Fenner about it.” Movan said.

“There are guards everywhere, usually okay, and now it's war time, and there's nowhere we can go through.” Mulberry said.

“There will always be some omissions, Cairo is so big, some places are weak, if we want to break in with our strength is not impossible, but the other party's power is much stronger than we thought, it seems that Major General Gamma did not scare us either.” Movan said.

“A city in Cairo is supposed to be guarded by a very large number of military departments, all of which have wanted us for just a day or two, and we have more than one general to offend.” Mulberry said.
