Chapter 209: Cassandra Rejects the Harem Name
Cassandra looked at Damian, her eyes narrowing slightly. "What do you mean by that?"
Damian grinned, his expression becoming even more suspicious. "You want revenge, right?"
Cassandra’s fingers closed around the jade case holding the [Sword Heart Pill]. "Most people would understand that much after hearing my story."
Damian nodded. "Of course. I’m just saying, if you want revenge, doing it alone must be difficult, right?"
Cassandra’s expression remained calm, but the air around her became colder. "Get to the point. What do you want?"
Damian chuckled as he stepped closer and lowered his voice slightly. "As expected of you, Cassandra. Sharp as a sword. I’m just saying that I happen to have a private organization."
Her brows moved faintly. "A private organization?"
Damian nodded and placed one hand behind his back, looking shamelessly proud. "Its sole mission is to help women like you."
Cassandra stared at him.
Damian smiled wider. "We help women who were framed, betrayed, humiliated, or hunted by righteous-looking bastards."
His gaze narrowed slightly, and his smile became more dangerous. "Women who want revenge but need a hand to turn that revenge into something clean, sharp, and unforgettable."
For once, Cassandra did not immediately answer.
The words were ridiculous.
The man saying them was even more ridiculous.
Yet the meaning behind them was not stupid.
Cassandra’s voice became polite and cold. "That sounds very noble, though it feels strange coming from someone who flirts with women like they are pets."
Damian frowned as if wounded. "Please don’t say it like that. Women are not pets to me. They are more like precious treasures I cherish."
Cassandra’s grip tightened around the [Sword Heart Pill]. "Fine. Even so, I don’t believe you. We just met, and I don’t need anyone."
Damian shrugged. "Fair. But are you sure?"
His smile faded slightly, replaced by a calm look that made him seem far less careless. "After all, right now, you are alone."
Cassandra lifted her chin, pride turning her voice sharper. "I have survived alone this long."
Damian looked at her for a moment, then sighed. "Fine. Let me say it another way."
His eyes became sharper. "If you walk alone, you might survive. You might even grow strong enough to kill a few enemies."
The sword mist moved around them.
Damian’s voice turned lower. "But if your clan already buried your name once, they can do it again. They can twist the truth, hide evidence, turn allies against you, and make your revenge look like madness."
Cassandra’s expression finally changed slightly.
Damian grinned again. "My organization can stop that."
She looked at him coldly. "And what is this organization called?"
Damian raised his chin with shameless confidence.
"[Forbidden Immortal Harem]."
Cassandra froze.
The white sword domain behind her hummed loudly.
HUMM!
For several breaths, she said nothing.
Then Cassandra slowly closed her eyes. "Forget it. I was stupid for listening."
Damian’s expression twisted. "Oh, come on. The name has charm. You’ll love it later."
Cassandra turned away. "No need."
She walked forward without another word, her black-blue robes fluttering in the sword mist.
Damian naturally followed behind her.
After all, inside this Sword Tomb, she was currently the only woman he could gift.
---
Damian kept following behind her, but this time, he really did not talk much.
His eyes were not on Cassandra.
They were fixed on the system screen floating in front of him.
---
[Gift: Top-Rank Noble Grade [Sword Heart Pill]]
[Multiplier: 200×]
[Critical Reward Triggered]
[Return Reward: Royal Grade Sword Cultivator Talent]
---
Damian grinned.
He almost laughed out loud, but Cassandra was still walking ahead of him, so he forcefully held it in.
His shoulders trembled once.
Cassandra paused and looked back at him. "What are you doing?"
Damian immediately straightened his face. "Nothing."
Her eyes narrowed slightly. "You look suspicious."
Damian placed one hand on his chest. "That is just my natural charm."
Cassandra stared at him for half a breath, then turned away again. "Annoying."
Damian quietly exhaled and looked back at the system screen, his gaze landing on the reward section.
For a moment, even his shameless thoughts stopped.
A second later, his eyes slowly brightened.
"Holy shit. The reward is actually talent, not a pill."
His heartbeat quickened slightly.
"With this talent, this trip through the Sword Tomb will be even better than before."
Truthfully, he had never possessed any special sword talent.
Damian’s sword cultivation had always relied more on good techniques, strong Qi, and brute force from his broken rewards.
However, that was not the same as being a natural sword cultivator.
But now, with Royal Grade sword cultivator talent, his understanding of sword arts would become deeper, his sword intent would sharpen faster, and this Sword Tomb would become much easier to explore.
After all, this place was a sacred ground for swords.
Damian looked at Cassandra’s back, his smile slowly becoming wider.
"Her face didn’t show much, but her emotions changed enough to trigger a critical multiplier. What a good treasure chest."
Cassandra suddenly stopped again.
Without turning around, she said coldly, "You are thinking something rude."
Damian blinked. "How did you know?"
Cassandra answered without the slightest change in emotion, "Because you became quiet in a disgusting way."
Damian’s mouth twitched. "That description hurts more than it should."
Cassandra continued walking. "Good."
Damian looked at the system reward again and laughed softly in his heart.
"Okay, it doesn’t matter what her personality is. After all, she is a villainess. As long as she is a treasure chest..."
His gaze shifted toward Cassandra again.
Even while walking through the dangerous [Core Sword Domain], she did not look desperate or afraid.
Damian’s smile softened slightly before turning shameless again.
"Also, she’s quite cute when annoyed."
His eyes moved toward the deeper sword domains ahead.
Now, he had two things to think about.
What kind of sword should he take for himself?
And what kind of sword would Cassandra like?
More importantly, he wondered what kind of reward he would get if he gifted her a Royal Grade sword from this place.
