Chapter 210: Serious Sword Women Think Alike

Damian looked at Cassandra’s back for a moment, then rubbed his chin.

Since he wanted to gift her a Royal Grade sword, he first had to know what kind of sword she actually liked.

Otherwise, if he gave her some giant ugly sword and she hated it, that would be a damn waste.

"Cassandra."

Cassandra stopped walking but did not turn around. "What?"

Damian walked closer with a bright expression. "What kind of sword do you like to use?"

Cassandra slowly turned her head and looked at him. Her expression did not change much.

Damian felt like she was silently judging his entire existence.

"What?" he asked. "That’s a normal question."

Cassandra stared at him for another breath before sighing softly. "For once, yes. It is normal."

Damian placed one hand on his chest. "You wound me. I ask many normal questions."

"No, you do not."

"That’s slander."

"That is observation."

Damian’s mouth twitched. "You really like attacking people quietly, huh?"

Cassandra’s eyes remained cold. "Only when they deserve it."

Damian nodded seriously. "Fair."

Cassandra seemed to realize that arguing with him would only waste more time, so she directly answered, "I prefer a curved jian–saber hybrid."

Damian’s eyes moved slightly. "Curved jian–saber hybrid?"

"Yes," Cassandra said calmly. "It should have the elegance and precision of a jian, but the cutting power and slight curve of a saber."

Her fingers lightly touched the hilt of her current sword. "I use Metal Sword Qi, so the sword must be sharp, durable, and clean. It does not need too many accessories."

Damian blinked.

For some reason, that sounded a little like Elder Mirena’s sword preference too.

"Damn. Are all serious sword women like this?"

Cassandra looked at him. "Did you understand?"

Damian nodded. "Of course. Curved jian–saber hybrid, metal element, elegant but deadly, sharp enough to cut through bullshit."

Cassandra paused. "That last part was unnecessary, but not wrong."

Damian smiled. "Good. Wait here."

Cassandra frowned faintly. "Where are you going?"

Damian turned toward the deeper part of the [Core Sword Domain]. "To find your sword."

Before Cassandra could answer, Damian had already walked away with relaxed steps.

His figure soon disappeared between the strange sword domains.

Cassandra watched him leave.

For several breaths, she remained silent.

Finally, she let out a soft sigh of relief. "At least now it is quiet."

A moment later, she looked down at the [Sword Heart Pill] in her hand.

Her fingers tightened slightly around the jade case.

Damian was strange.

Too strange.

He was shameless, direct, annoying, and clearly had motives that were not completely pure.

Yet he had given her something most sword cultivators would fight desperately to obtain.

A Top-Rank Noble Grade [Sword Heart Pill].

Even in the Valeria Family, a pill like this would not be casually handed to a branch genius.

If it appeared, the main family would take it first, then throw some scraps to everyone else.

Cassandra’s gaze became colder.

That was why she hated owing favors.

Favors became chains.

Kindness became leverage.

Trust became a blade pressed against the throat.

She had learned that lesson very well.

Her former fiancé had smiled gently while helping others bury her name.

Her family had praised her talent before turning her into a traitor.

People who once called her "the future sword of Valeria" had watched silently when she was hunted.

Cassandra slowly exhaled. "Damian... what exactly do you want?"

No one answered her.

Only the sword Qi of the [Core Sword Domain] drifted silently around her.

Far ahead, Damian moved through the [Core Sword Domain], his eyes sharper than before.

He ignored ordinary Royal Grade sword domains.

He did not want just any sword.

If he wanted to gift Cassandra a sword, it could not be ordinary.

It had to be at least Top-Rank Royal Grade.

Only that kind of sword would be worthy of her 200× multiplier.

---

Damian continued deeper into the [Core Sword Domain], his eyes scanning each sword domain with growing focus.

His current sword was High-Rank Royal Grade, so he understood what kind of aura a sword of that level and below should have.

What he wanted now was a Top-Rank Royal Grade sword.

Because of that, he focused only on sword domains with auras stronger than his current sword.

While he was searching, the air beside his face suddenly split open.

SHING!

Damian’s eyes changed as a thin cut appeared on his cheek, forcing him to stop walking. "The hell was that?"

The sword Qi had been too fast.

Even with his current senses, he had only caught a faint silver flash.

Damian wiped the blood from his cheek and looked around.

The surrounding domains were silent.

A second later, the silver flash appeared again.

This time, it came from behind.

SWISH!

Damian raised his hand instinctively, wanting to catch it, but the silver light slipped past and cut across his palm.

Damian’s eyes narrowed. "Damn. Not only is it fast, it’s sharp too."

The wound was shallow, but that was only because he reacted fast enough.

If not, that thing might have taken his fingers.

He looked at the blood on his hand, then slowly smiled. "Is it a flying sword?"

Another silver flash flickered at the edge of his vision.

Damian’s grin widened. "Alright. Let’s see what kind of sword is acting so arrogant."

[Thunder Flash Steps] activated.

CRACKLE!

Lightning burst beneath Damian’s feet as he chased after the silver light, but that thing was insanely fast.

It darted through the sword mist like a streak of moonlight, changing direction without warning and slipping between sword domains as if it owned the place.

Damian followed closely, but his brow slowly furrowed. "Damn it. This bastard is faster than expected."

He forced more Chaos Qi into his legs.

CRACKLE!

His speed rose again.

For one brief moment, the silver light slowed enough for him to finally see its shape.

Damian’s eyes widened, and he almost stopped from shock. "What the hell? How is something like that even here? It’s not even a sword."
