Chapter 256: The Most Precious Treasure Chest Turns Yandere
Damian returned to his room with Violetta still unconscious in his arms.
He carefully placed her on the bed before checking her breathing and pulse. Thankfully, everything seemed normal.
Violetta had only fainted because Selvara’s killing intent had been too fucking terrifying for her to withstand.
Damian gently pulled a blanket over her body, making sure she was comfortable before sitting down beside the bed.
Now that Violetta was safe, his attention immediately shifted toward another important matter.
Damian opened the translucent interface, and his eyes instantly brightened. "Now then..."
A familiar shameless anticipation appeared on his face. "Let’s see whether Master gave me a Critical or Extreme return."
After all, Damian had just gifted Selvara a King Grade sword.
More importantly, he had deliberately chosen what he believed was the perfect moment to give it to her.
Selvara had just learned about Nolan’s terrifying growth, Damian nearly dying inside the Sword Tomb, and the possibility of Nolan becoming a serious threat to both Damian and Violetta.
Even someone as cold as Selvara had clearly been somewhat emotionally disturbed.
If gifting [Silver Abyss Execution Sword] at a moment like that did not trigger something good, Damian might seriously curse the damn system.
A moment later, the notification finally appeared.
---
[Gift Item: King Grade Silver Abyss Execution Sword]
[Critical 500x Multiplier Triggered]
[Reward Generated]
[King Grade Weapon Master Talent]
[King Grade Killing Intent]
---
Damian stared blankly at the system screen. "Critical..."
He had honestly hoped Selvara’s emotional state might be enough to trigger an Extreme Multiplier.
However, after thinking about his master’s ridiculously cold personality, Damian quickly accepted the result.
Getting a Critical 500x return from Selvara was already damn good.
His attention shifted toward the rewards, and his brows immediately furrowed. "Wait... only two?"
Compared to some of his previous returns, two rewards looked strangely small.
Yet the moment Damian properly read the first one, his expression changed.
[King Grade Weapon Master Talent].
His eyes widened slightly as he realized this wasn’t just a talent but the talent of a true weapons master.
In other words, rather than receiving talent for a single weapon path, Damian had obtained something that fused proficiency and aptitude across numerous weapon types into one terrifying talent.
His earlier disappointment instantly disappeared. "Damn..."
That alone was far better than obtaining another specialized weapon talent.
His gaze quickly moved toward the second reward.
[King Grade Killing Intent].
Damian immediately remembered the horrifying pressure Selvara had released earlier.
That suffocating presence.
That invisible dominance that had made Violetta collapse almost instantly and nearly forced Damian’s own instincts into submission.
It was the kind of killing intent capable of defeating weaker opponents mentally before a real fight even began.
Damian’s lips slowly curled upward. "So..."
His eyes became brighter. "Does this mean I’m getting something similar to that Conqueror Aura now?"
A low laugh escaped him. "Hehehe..."
There were only two rewards, but both were ridiculously valuable. One gave him talent across countless weapon paths.
The other gave him a terrifying invisible weapon that could pressure an opponent’s mind and spirit without even touching them.
Damian could no longer complain about the quantity. "Hahaha! Fuck the number of rewards. These two are already damn good."
His expression became completely shameless as he glanced toward the direction of Selvara’s room. "Hehehe... Master."
Damian rubbed his hands together in satisfaction. "You really gave your disciple one hell of a return."
---
Damian slowly turned toward Violetta, who was still sleeping beneath the blanket, and a shameless grin appeared on his face. "Hehe... now the last King Grade weapon is for you."
His gaze briefly shifted toward his storage ring, where the pipa spirit remained quietly waiting.
Damian’s eyes brightened with anticipation.
"I wonder what kind of ridiculous reward I’ll get from Violetta with that 400x multiplier..."
Just as he was about to summon the pipa spirit, Violetta’s eyelashes trembled faintly.
A moment later, her eyes slowly opened.
Damian immediately leaned closer. "Violetta, are you okay?"
Violetta blinked several times in confusion.
Her unfocused eyes wandered around the room before finally recognizing Damian sitting beside her.
She gave a faint nod. "Yes, Master... I’m fine."
Damian released a relieved breath. "Good. You scared me earlier."
Violetta quietly stared at him.
The memory of Selvara’s terrifying killing intent gradually returned, and her face became slightly pale again.
A second later, without warning, she reached forward and wrapped both arms around Damian.
Damian froze. "Violetta?"
Her arms tightened around him.
Unlike her usual gentle embrace, this one felt strangely desperate. Her body was trembling faintly.
Damian’s playful expression immediately softened. "What’s wrong?"
Violetta buried her face against his chest and remained silent for several breaths.
Eventually, her quiet voice reached him. "Master..."
Damian nodded. "Hmm?"
Her fingers tightened around the back of his robe. "Can you... do it with me?"
Damian’s eyes widened slightly.
He already understood exactly what she meant, but instinctively decided to play dumb. "What do you mean by that?"
Violetta’s grip immediately tightened. "Don’t pretend you don’t understand, Master."
Damian’s mouth closed.
Her voice became softer, but beneath that softness was an unfamiliar desperation. "You’ve already done it with those women from your harem... the ones I didn’t even know about until recently."
Damian opened his mouth. For once, nothing came out.
Violetta continued before he could think of an excuse. "Nolan keeps getting stronger."
Her body trembled again. "He became the Sect Master’s disciple. He obtained a King Grade sword. He obtained a King Grade sword art..."
Her breathing became slightly uneven. "I’m afraid, Master."
Those words made Damian’s expression turn serious. Violetta was rarely this direct about her fear.
She had survived humiliation, losing her cultivation, the destruction of the place she once called home, and years of living with revenge buried inside her heart.
Yet now she was trembling in his arms. "I’m afraid I’ll never get my revenge."
Her fingers dug deeper into Damian’s robe. "I’m afraid Nolan will find me before I become strong enough."
Her voice cracked faintly. "I’m afraid he’ll kill me before I can repay you... before I can become someone truly useful to you."
Damian frowned. "Violetta!"
Violetta continued, sadness heavy in her voice. "I’m afraid you’ll keep finding women who are better than me."
Damian stopped.
Violetta slowly raised her face from his chest. Her eyes were red and wet, and the calm elegance she normally carried had almost completely disappeared.
What remained was something fragile... her fear, possessiveness, and desperation laid bare. "So, please..."
Her voice dropped to barely more than a whisper. "Can you do it with me... just once, so I’ll have something to remember?"
Damian stared at her for several breaths before answering carefully. "Violetta... I’m your master."
Something in Violetta’s expression suddenly cracked. "Hell with that, Master."
Damian froze.
He genuinely wondered for a second whether he had heard correctly.
Violetta, the graceful, soft-spoken Violetta, had actually snapped at him.
Her voice trembled, but this time, she refused to lower her eyes. "You never really taught me anything anyway."
Damian’s mouth twitched. That accusation really struck his conscience, and he wanted to argue, but unfortunately... Violetta wasn’t wrong.
Most of what Violetta had received from him consisted of gifts, resources, protection, and the occasional piece of advice.
Actual, proper teaching? Almost nonexistent.
Violetta’s fingers remained wrapped around his robe. "You remember what you told me before, don’t you?"
Damian remained quiet.
Violetta continued, her wet eyes fixed on his. "You said I would always be your most special one. That I was different. That I was special."
The fear in her expression slowly faded... no, it changed into something darker.
Violetta leaned closer. "So prove it to me, Master. Prove that I really am still the most special one to you."
Damian’s eyes shifted slightly.
Violetta’s voice remained soft and beautiful, yet for the first time, there was something almost unsettling underneath it. "I don’t care how many women Master has."
Her fingers tightened. "I don’t care how shameless you are."
She pressed herself closer against him, refusing to let him pull away. "But you’re not allowed to forget me."
Damian stared at her.
Violetta’s lips curved faintly, but the redness around her eyes made the expression far different from her usual gentle smile. "You can love them."
A brief pause followed before her gaze became strangely intense. "But you have to love me too. And if Master ever tries to throw me away..."
Her gentle expression returned almost instantly. "I’ll be very sad."
Damian’s mouth twitched.
"Why the fuck did that sound like a threat?"
Violetta rested her head against his chest again as though she had said nothing strange whatsoever. "Master belongs to himself."
Her arms tightened around him. "But a piece of Master belongs to me too."
Damian remained motionless for several breaths. For once, he genuinely did not know how to respond.
The normally elegant, gentle, obedient Violetta had somehow gone from frightened and vulnerable to frighteningly possessive in less than a minute.
"What the hell happened to this woman at the Heavenly Palace?"
