Chapter 255: Death Opens Its Eyes
Selvara looked at [Silver Abyss Execution Sword] for several breaths before slowly closing her eyes.
The room fell unnaturally quiet, but a moment later, Selvara opened her eyes again.
Damian and Violetta frowned at almost exactly the same time. Something invisible had suddenly filled the entire room.
No... not something. Killing intent.
Violetta’s face immediately turned pale. Her body shook violently, and before she could even stabilize herself, her legs suddenly lost all strength.
"Grandmaster..."
She only managed to utter that single word before her eyes closed and her body collapsed sideways.
Damian’s expression changed instantly. "Violetta!"
He lunged forward and barely managed to catch her before she hit the floor.
However, the moment Damian wrapped an arm around her, his own body trembled violently.
Cold sweat instantly covered his forehead and back.
Every instinct inside his body seemed to scream at him to run, fight, hide... anything to escape the invisible pressure surrounding Selvara.
His hands even began trembling uncontrollably.
"What the fuck is this?"
The killing intent coming from Selvara was nothing like ordinary killing intent.
Damian had felt murderous intent before. He had fought cultivators who genuinely wanted him dead.
He had experienced Nolan’s killing intent inside the Sword Tomb. None of it was even fucking close to this.
Selvara’s killing intent felt less like someone wanting to kill him and more like death itself had opened its eyes and calmly decided whether he was worth erasing.
His body was not the only thing being affected.
Even Damian’s soul felt as though it had been pressed beneath the edge of an enormous invisible sword. His breathing became heavy.
"Is this really just killing intent?"
Damian gritted his teeth and forced himself to remain conscious while supporting Violetta.
"Hell, this feels more like that Conqueror Aura thing from the anime I watched in my previous life. This is fucking insane."
Selvara had not even glanced toward them. Her calm eyes remained fixed entirely on [Silver Abyss Execution Sword].
The silver sword, meanwhile, trembled harder and harder. Yet there was not a trace of fear in its movements.
Instead, its voice suddenly exploded with almost manic excitement. "Hahahaha!"
Silver light surged violently around its blade. "You really are fucking worthy of me!"
The sword spun once through the air, its own murderous aura responding to Selvara’s killing intent like a starving beast finally discovering the master it had searched for all its life.
His voice grew even more excited when he sensed something. "You’re not only worthy, but you’re stronger than I thought. You’re still holding back, aren’t you?"
Selvara answered calmly, as though the terrifying pressure crushing the room had nothing to do with her. "If I release all of it, my disciple and grand-disciple won’t be able to endure it."
Damian’s face twitched as sweat dripped from his jaw. He looked at Selvara in disbelief.
"Fuck me, Master..."
His arms tightened around the unconscious Violetta.
"You’re not even using your full power? What kind of fucking monster are you?"
[Silver Abyss Execution Sword] burst into laughter again. "Hahahaha! Good! Very good!"
Its silver radiance became almost blinding. "You really are the one I’ve been waiting for."
The blade slowly lowered itself before Selvara, then drifted into her hand. There was no longer any resistance in its aura... only acceptance. "Selvara... let me become your sword."
The silver blade shone like cold moonlight soaked in blood. "I will become your sharpest execution sword and cut down whoever stands before you."
Selvara quietly looked at the weapon on her hand. For the first time in a very long while, a faint smile appeared on her normally cold face. "I accept."
She gently brushed her fingers across the silver blade. "Glad to meet you."
The sword released a low, pleased hum.
HUMM...
Selvara examined it for another moment before speaking again. "Although... your name is too long."
The sword became silent.
Damian’s eyebrow twitched slightly from across the room.
Selvara remained completely serious. "From now on, I’ll simply call you Executioner."
She lightly tapped the blade with one finger. "That’s fine, right?"
[Silver Abyss Execution Sword] remained silent for a single breath.
A moment later, booming laughter filled the room. "Hahahaha!"
Its silver light flared brightly. "What a good name!"
The sword happily circled Selvara once. "After all, I exist to execute your enemies."
Selvara gave a faint nod. "Then Executioner it is."
Damian stared at the strange pair while still holding the unconscious Violetta. His mouth twitched.
"Damn... Master really found herself the perfect fucking sword."
---
Damian held the unconscious Violetta carefully in his arms and forced a smile despite the cold sweat still clinging to his body. "Congratulations, Master. You’ve obtained a King Grade sword."
Selvara glanced toward him. "Don’t flatter me."
Damian immediately coughed. "I’m being sincere."
Selvara shifted her gaze toward [Silver Abyss Execution Sword], or rather, Executioner, which now floated quietly beside her with its silver light pulsing faintly. "This happened because of you, Damian."
Damian blinked before scratching his cheek awkwardly. "Well... I only did what a good disciple should do."
Executioner released a low, satisfied hum, clearly still excited after experiencing Selvara’s terrifying killing intent.
HUMM...
Selvara ignored the sword’s excitement and looked toward the unconscious Violetta in Damian’s arms. "Take Violetta back to your room and let her rest."
Damian nodded immediately. "Yes, Master."
Selvara’s eyes grew colder. "I need to handle some things."
Damian paused for a moment, sensing the change in her tone.
Selvara continued, "Now that I have Executioner, you don’t need to worry as much about Nolan."
The silver sword slowly circled beside her.
Although its killing intent was restrained now, merely looking at the blade was enough to make Damian remember the horrifying pressure from moments earlier.
Selvara’s voice became quiet, cold, and absolute. "That bastard Nolan will never set foot on this mountain."
Damian stared at his master for several breaths.
There was no hesitation in Selvara’s voice.
She was not boasting or trying to reassure him with empty words. She was simply stating what she had already decided would happen.
Damian’s expression softened, and this time, his smile was genuine. "Thank you, Master."
For once, he did not add a joke or shameless comment afterward.
Selvara gave him a faint nod.
Damian carefully adjusted Violetta in his arms before lifting her properly against his chest.
He turned toward the door, preparing to carry her back to his room.
Yet as he walked away, the corner of his mouth gradually curved upward.
The sincerity from moments earlier remained, but beneath it, a darker satisfaction slowly appeared in his eyes.
"Hehehe... Nolan."
Damian glanced back once at Selvara and the silver sword floating beside her.
"You almost fucking killed me inside the Sword Tomb."
His smile grew wider.
"Now let’s see how you deal with Master when she’s carrying a King Grade execution sword that’s practically begging her to slaughter someone."
Damian continued walking, and with every step, his mood became noticeably better.
He looked down briefly at the unconscious Violetta before carefully tightening his hold so she would not slip.
"Finally..."
His eyes gleamed with anticipation.
"That poor simp bastard is about to get what he fucking deserves."
