Chapter 254: Sword Demon Finally Admits It
Damian suddenly called out, "Wait a moment, Master."
Selvara stopped near the door and turned slightly toward him. "What is it?"
Damian’s expression became serious, although the excitement flickering in his eyes was difficult to hide.
"Now that we know that bastard Nolan has a King Grade weapon, shouldn’t we have one too?"
Selvara’s gaze sharpened.
Violetta also looked toward Damian with slight surprise.
Selvara studied him for a moment. "You..."
Her eyes narrowed faintly. "I already sensed something powerful from you, even though you tried to hide it."
Damian’s mouth twitched.
"Damn. The [Aura Mask Ring] really can’t fool Master at all."
Selvara continued, "Are you seriously telling me that you brought a King Grade weapon out of the Sword Tomb?"
Damian immediately looked proud. "Of course, Master. I’m not that useless."
Selvara’s gaze became even sharper.
Damian ignored the faint pressure coming from her and raised one hand. "Come out."
The next instant, silver light erupted from his storage ring.
HUMM!
A long silver sword slowly appeared in the middle of the room, floating silently in the air.
Its blade was elegant and almost unnaturally beautiful, as though pure moonlight had been refined into cold steel.
Yet the killing intent surrounding it was the complete opposite of its graceful appearance.
The instant the weapon appeared, Violetta’s expression changed slightly.
Selvara became completely still.
Damian was about to introduce the sword when its blade suddenly trembled violently.
SHIIING!
Without warning, it shot straight toward Selvara, surprising Damian.
The sword stopped directly in front of her, its silver light trembling intensely as though it had finally discovered something it had been desperately searching for across countless years.
Its normally cold voice came out slightly unsteady. "You..."
Selvara’s eyes narrowed, but that look only made the silver sword tremble even more. "You really are the one I’ve been searching for."
The room fell completely silent.
Damian suddenly felt a bead of cold sweat slide down his back.
Selvara slowly shifted her gaze from the trembling silver sword toward Damian. "Explain."
Damian immediately straightened his posture. "Master, this is a King Grade sword called [Silver Abyss Execution Sword]."
The silver sword released a faint metallic hum, seemingly acknowledging his introduction.
HUMM...
Damian continued more carefully, "When I found it, the sword said it had been searching for a woman with terrifying sword talent, extremely heavy killing intent, and..."
His voice slowed slightly. "A sword path resembling that of a demon."
Violetta quietly shifted her gaze toward Selvara.
Selvara’s face remained completely expressionless.
Damian coughed lightly. "So naturally, I thought... that woman might be you, Master."
The room somehow became even quieter.
Damian quickly pointed at the [Silver Abyss Execution Sword]. "And judging from how it reacted the moment it saw you, it seems I was right."
Selvara stared at him for several breaths. Her expression remained perfectly calm, yet that somehow made Damian’s scalp feel increasingly numb.
Eventually, Selvara spoke a single sentence, her eyes fixed coldly on him. "So now, Damian... are you calling your own master a demon?"
Damian heard that and immediately frowned. "Master, wait. That’s not what I meant."
A faint chill spread through the room. Selvara was not furious, but Damian could clearly tell she was a little angry.
Her gaze had sharpened, and the sword pressure around her had become noticeably colder. For several breaths, she simply stared at him.
Eventually, Selvara exhaled through her nose and forced the irritation back down. "Fine. I’ll ignore that."
Damian quietly relaxed, but unfortunately, Selvara was not finished. Her gaze remained fixed on him. "Now, I’m going to ask you something, so don’t you dare lie to me, Damian."
Damian’s back immediately stiffened.
Selvara’s voice stayed calm, yet there was no room for him to dodge the question. "From what you just said, it seems you already knew something about who I was in the past."
She paused briefly. "Especially what people used to call me. Am I wrong?"
The room became silent.
Violetta looked between Damian and Selvara, her expression still gentle, though a faint trace of worry had entered her eyes.
Damian scratched his cheek awkwardly.
He considered pretending he knew nothing for perhaps half a second before immediately abandoning that stupid idea.
He knew Selvara would see right through him anyway, so in the end, he simply sighed. "Yes, Master."
Selvara said nothing.
Damian continued carefully, "I heard about it from some demonic sect spies I encountered before."
His eyes moved toward Selvara. "They said you used to be called the Sword Demon."
Selvara’s gaze remained unreadable.
Damian hesitated before coughing lightly. "And... according to them, you were also quite crazy back then."
Violetta’s eyes shifted slightly toward Selvara.
A faint pulse of sword pressure filled the room.
Damian’s mouth immediately closed.
Selvara stared at him with a slight trace of irritation in her eyes, clearly not appreciating that particular description. Yet a few breaths later, the pressure gradually faded.
She looked away and released a long, quiet sigh. There was no point in denying it or hiding it anymore, so in the end, she finally spoke. "Indeed. That was what they called me in the past."
Selvara looked toward the floating [Silver Abyss Execution Sword], her gaze carrying a complicated calmness. "I stopped using that title a long time ago."
She paused. "But yes... the Sword Demon they spoke about was me."
For once, Damian did not make a joke immediately.
Selvara sighed faintly again. "It seems there’s little reason to hide it from the two of you anymore."
Violetta remained silent, simply accepting her grandmaster’s confession without judgment.
Damian, meanwhile, stared at Selvara for a moment before a familiar grin finally returned to his face. "Don’t worry, Master."
Selvara glanced toward him.
Damian lifted his chin slightly. "Sword Demon or not, you’re still my master."
Selvara’s expression softened by an almost invisible amount. "Shameless brat."
Damian laughed lightly. "Hehe. I’ll take that as affection."
Selvara ignored him and turned her attention back toward [Silver Abyss Execution Sword]. "So basically, because you knew about that title, you coaxed this sword into following you out of the Sword Tomb?"
Damian nodded honestly. "Yes, Master."
His expression became more sincere. "After all, this sword really does suit you."
Damian glanced at the silver weapon before muttering under his breath, "It even became a simp the moment it saw you."
A thin strand of killing intent immediately brushed across his neck.
Damian’s expression stiffened, and he slowly looked away, cursing inwardly.
"Damn. Sensitive sword."
Selvara ignored Damian’s nonsense and looked directly at [Silver Abyss Execution Sword]. "Are you truly certain I’m the one you were searching for?"
The sword’s silver radiance trembled faintly. Its voice became cold, sharp, and filled with barely restrained excitement. "From what I can sense, you truly are."
The blade tilted slightly. "However, I still need to confirm whether you are worthy of wielding me."
Damian’s mouth twitched.
"Damn. Even a simp sword still wants to give her a test."
[Silver Abyss Execution Sword] continued, "My name is [Silver Abyss Execution Sword]. I am a sword forged around killing, execution, and slaughter."
The silver light around its blade intensified. "If you wish to wield me, then show me your killing intent."
The temperature inside the room seemed to drop instantly.
Selvara remained perfectly calm, but a moment later, she turned toward Damian and Violetta. "You two, get away from me. Quickly."
Neither of them needed a second explanation. They understood exactly what Selvara meant.
Damian and Violetta quickly retreated toward the far side of the room, putting as much distance between themselves and Selvara as the space allowed.
Violetta’s expression had become completely serious.
Damian, meanwhile, could barely hide the excitement growing in his eyes.
This was the first time he would properly witness even a fraction of the terrifying power Selvara had kept buried beneath that calm, cold exterior.
"Alright, Master..."
Damian stared at Selvara without blinking.
"Let me see why they once called you the fucking Sword Demon."
