Chapter 259: Rosa’s Smile Means Death

Damian eventually calmed down again and started thinking about something else.

Violetta’s favorability toward him had already reached the maximum.

That meant he should finally be able to watch her entire Destiny Story without the damn system cutting it off at the most important moment.

Damian immediately turned toward the system interface. "Alright, System. Show me Violetta’s story. Let me see what kind of future she originally had."

The translucent screen expanded.

A moment later, scenes from Violetta’s life began appearing before him like a movie.

Damian immediately started fast-forwarding through most of it.

He already knew Violetta’s past, after all. There was no point wasting time watching everything from the beginning again.

He only stopped when the movie reached the point where Violetta had been abandoned on the roadside with her leg crippled and her spiritual root shattered.

Damian leaned forward slightly and rubbed his chin. "I wonder who’ll save her this time since I don’t exist in that world?"

The movie continued.

Several rough-looking cultivators had surrounded the crippled Violetta.

Their greedy expressions made their intentions painfully obvious.

Violetta was still extraordinarily beautiful despite her miserable condition, and more importantly, she was still a virgin.

Just like the Damian of the past, several of those bastards clearly wanted to take her away and force her into becoming some kind of concubine or prized possession.

One of the cultivators reached toward her.

Before his dirty hand could touch Violetta, however, a graceful figure suddenly appeared.

"Move your fucking filthy hand away from her."

The next instant, a soft yet terrifying pressure swept through the area.

WHOOSH!

Every cultivator froze.

Damian, meanwhile, stared at the newly arrived woman in complete disbelief. "Damn... isn’t that fucking Rosa?"

Rosa was one of Vivian’s disciples from the Heavenly Palace, so when he and Selvara brought Violetta there, he had already met her.

What stood out most about her was her pink hair and eyes, especially her gentle appearance, which made her seem almost harmless.

Still, Damian had never expected that the one who saved Violetta could be her. "Seriously? How could it have been Rosa who saved her?"

Damian thought about it more, and after a moment, the situation that had initially seemed ridiculous strangely began to make sense.

It was because, in the current world, Violetta had trained in the Heavenly Palace for quite some time.

So it was probably because of that that the current system’s alternate fate had directed her toward the Heavenly Palace from the very beginning.

Rosa looked down at Violetta’s broken and bloodied body before releasing a soft sigh. "You poor thing."

Her gentle eyes moved over Violetta. "So beautiful, yet someone discarded you like trash on the side of the road."

One of the cultivators immediately snarled, "Who the hell are you?"

Rosa calmly turned toward him, and soon a beautiful yet dangerous smile appeared on her face.

The cultivator suddenly felt that something was wrong as his vision inexplicably began to sink lower and lower.

For half a second, he didn’t understand what had happened... until his severed head hit the ground.

THUD!

His body collapsed immediately afterward. Upon seeing this, the other cultivators quickly turned away, unwilling to risk meeting the same fate.

Damian unconsciously shuddered the moment he saw this and caught sight of Rosa’s current smile.

"Damn! No wonder she’s a villainess too. So this is what her real personality looks like, huh?"

The other cultivators hurriedly fled, and the commotion finally caused Violetta to regain consciousness.

Her unfocused eyes slowly opened before settling on Rosa. "...You... what do you want from me?"

Rosa looked at her for a moment before crouching down beside her. "Nothing."

She smiled gently. "I just wanted to save you. I couldn’t stand watching a beautiful woman like you die in such a miserable place."

Violetta immediately frowned. "So... even though you’re a woman, you’re still only interested in my appearance?"

Her expression became bitter. "Just leave me here. Let me die."

Rosa stared at her for a moment, and then, unexpectedly, she began to laugh. "Hahaha..."

Violetta looked at her coldly.

Rosa’s laughter slowly faded. "So that’s it, huh... It must be because of your beauty. That’s the reason you ended up like this, isn’t it?"

Violetta did not answer, as she didn’t need to.

Rosa could already see the hatred hidden inside her eyes, and soon her gentle smile gradually changed.

It remained beautiful, but something about it suddenly became terrifying. "Then listen carefully."

Rosa leaned closer, her pink eyes gleaming faintly. "Beauty isn’t a weakness, nor is it mere currency. It’s power."

Violetta’s eyes shifted.

Rosa continued, "Powerful cultivators, and even mighty factions and families, have ruined themselves over beauty."

Her grin widened. "Even those old monsters who pretend they’ve abandoned all worldly desires can lose their minds over a beautiful woman. So tell me... Can beauty really be called useless?"

Her lips curved upward. "Why should we hate something that can be used as a weapon?"

Violetta stared at her for a moment, but no words came out. She couldn’t refute what Rosa had said.

Rosa grinned as she looked at her, then asked another question. "Tell me, girl... do you want revenge?"

Violetta’s expression immediately changed.

Rosa saw the answer in her eyes before she even spoke. "Follow me, and I’ll make sure you get your revenge exactly the way you want it."

Rosa glanced at Violetta’s ruined body. "After all, I’d also like to see what kind of bastard dared to reduce a beautiful woman like you to this state."

Violetta gathered every bit of strength she had left and forced herself to sit up slightly. "You..."

She breathed heavily. "Are you really capable of helping me take revenge?"

Rosa immediately laughed. "Of course."

She lifted her chin slightly. "I’m from the Heavenly Palace, one of the strongest factions in this entire region."

Her expression carried effortless confidence. "So don’t worry."

Rosa extended one hand toward her. "We don’t easily break our promises."

She paused before adding with another beautiful smile, "Especially promises made to beautiful women."

Violetta stared at Rosa’s outstretched hand. For several breaths, she remained silent.

Eventually, she exhausted the last of her strength to speak. "Fine."

Her eyes slowly closed. "I’ll follow you, but I’m already in this miserable condition... so I’ll have to rely on you for now."

After saying that, her body weakened further, and her consciousness quickly faded as she completely passed out.

Rosa quietly looked at her, and a faint smile returned to her face. "Good choice."

She carefully picked Violetta up and carried her away toward the Heavenly Palace.
