Chapter 227: Weapon Spirit Sees Too Much
The pipa spirit floated in front of Damian for a while, studying him with strange interest.
Damian wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. "What? Are we starting the test or not?"
The faint figure above the pipa tilted her head. "Before the test begins, I need to see what kind of person you are."
Damian raised his brow. "You mean talent, strength, sword intent, that kind of thing?"
The pipa spirit slowly floated closer. "Not that kind. You will understand later. Just let me touch you first."
Damian nodded.
The pipa spirit stretched out her pale hand and lightly touched Damian’s forehead.
TRIIING...
The next instant, the pipa spirit froze.
Damian blinked. "What?"
The pipa spirit’s faint expression slowly shifted. First came shock, then disbelief, followed by confusion, until finally her face twisted into pure disgust.
Because of that, her voice trembled slightly as she stared at Damian. "Who the hell are you?"
Damian looked completely innocent. "What?"
The pipa spirit snapped, "You... how can someone be this perverted and shameless? Just what the hell are you?"
Damian coughed lightly. "That’s just my quirk. No need to think too much about it."
The pipa spirit stared at him. "No need to think too much about it?"
Her voice rose. "I touched your soul for one breath, and I saw women, gifts, harem plans, fake deaths, treasure chests, and you flirting with swords. Swords! You even flirted with a sword!"
Damian scratched his cheek. "To be fair, she was beautiful."
The pipa spirit almost lost her form. "You are hopeless."
Damian sighed. "Many women say that at first."
The pipa spirit twitched. "At first?"
Damian chuckled. "They usually change their minds later."
The pipa spirit floated backward as if afraid his shamelessness was contagious. "How can I let myself become a weapon for a pervert like you?"
Damian pointed at her. "Aren’t you a musical instrument?"
"That makes it worse!" she snapped. "Although I am only a musical instrument, I still have pride!"
Damian nodded seriously. "Good. I like women with pride."
The pipa spirit became silent.
Damian noticed her silence and chuckled weakly. "Fine, fine. I’m just kidding."
The pipa spirit stared at him with clear suspicion.
Damian raised both hands, although one was still covered in blood. "Don’t worry. You won’t become my weapon."
The pipa spirit’s expression changed slightly. "What?"
Damian pointed at himself. "You saw my memories, right? Then you should know I like gifting things to women."
The pipa spirit remained silent.
Damian continued naturally, "I came here to find weapons and treasures for my women. Not just for myself."
The faint figure above the pipa narrowed her eyes. "You expect me to believe that makes you noble?"
"No." Damian smiled shamelessly. "It makes me honest."
The pipa spirit did not respond.
Damian wiped the blood from his lips and added, "Besides, I already know who I want to give you to."
The pipa spirit’s gaze sharpened. "Who?"
Damian’s smile became softer. "She is a beautiful woman who is very talented and elegant. More importantly, she is a music cultivator."
The pipa spirit paused.
For the first time, the disgust in her eyes weakened slightly.
Damian noticed it and immediately continued, "So she is not some rough cultivator who only knows how to swing a sword and shout. She should be a very good match for you."
The pipa floated quietly.
Damian’s voice became more persuasive. "Isn’t it better to follow me out and be played by a beautiful woman who understands music than stay here alone in this dark tomb?"
The pipa spirit frowned.
She did not answer immediately.
From what she had sensed in Damian’s memories, there was indeed such a possibility.
This shameless man was perverted, greedy, and ridiculous, but he was not lying about gifting treasures to women.
In fact, that seemed to be his entire damn lifestyle.
The pipa spirit floated in place, thinking for a long while.
Finally, she sighed softly. "Fine."
Damian’s eyes brightened. "Oh?"
The pipa spirit pointed at him. "Do not look so happy yet. I only said fine because I am willing to consider it."
Damian nodded quickly. "Good enough."
"However," the pipa spirit continued, her voice becoming serious, "I still want you to take my test."
Damian exhaled and straightened his back with difficulty. "Sure. After all, for my women, I can do anything."
The pipa spirit stared at him for a moment as her expression became complicated again. "You are disgusting."
Damian smiled. "But sincere."
The pipa spirit’s mouth twitched. "That makes it worse."
Damian shrugged weakly. "Maybe, but it works."
The pipa spirit looked like she wanted to deny it, yet after seeing his memories, she knew this bastard had somehow succeeded more than once.
That made it even more annoying.
She slowly floated backward, and the faint strings on the pipa trembled without being touched.
TRIIING...
The clear sound spread through the empty darkness.
The weapon aura around them began to move.
Damian’s eyes sharpened slightly.
The pipa spirit’s voice became calm and elegant again. "My test is not difficult to understand."
Damian coughed lightly. "Whenever someone says that, it usually means the test is horrible."
The pipa spirit twitched and explained, "It’s really simple, but whether it turns out horribly still depends on you."
Damian also twitched. "That does not reassure me."
The pipa spirit ignored him and continued, "No matter what happens, all you need to do is listen to one song."
Damian blinked. "That’s it?"
The pipa spirit smiled faintly. "Yeah. But if you break down, you fail."
Damian twitched once again. "And you call this simple? Damn."
The pipa spirit’s smile softened. Ignoring him, she slowly reached for the strings with her illusory fingers.
TRIIING...
The sound was beautiful.
Too beautiful.
The moment it entered Damian’s ears, the darkness around him changed.
The empty [Forbidden Deep Tomb] seemed to fade away.
Countless weapon shadows appeared in the distance, standing like silent judges.
The pipa spirit’s voice echoed softly. "This song will show what your heart truly wants."
Damian’s expression became strange.
The pipa spirit added coldly, "If it is only lust, greed, and shameless desire, you will be rejected."
Damian slowly raised his hand. "Can I explain first?"
The pipa spirit immediately rejected him. "No."
Damian cursed under his breath. "Damn."
