Chapter 213: Rescue, Blame, Found Them...
I looked at the people who were now inside the study in the Klartis mansion.
My eyes roam across the room, but I am missing one figure.
"Where’s Hernand?"
I asked as I looked at Father who was also looking at me.
"Hernand?"
He asks as he also scanned the room to look for any trace of his friends, but when his eyes found none, he turn to me.
"I haven’t seen him since this morning."
He said which made sighed.
Hernand might be still in the infirmary trying to help people who were inflicted with what his pupil did.
"Flamear..."
I said as I looked at Flamear who was yawning beside me.
"Can you take him here?"
I asked as I looked at Flamear who just nodded and obey what I said.
"Now let’s start."
I said as I looked at them and even Evangeline and Dreanna were also listening to us.
"How’s the situation in your territory, Lord Nuchi?"
I asked as I looked Lord Nuchi who was listening carefully.
"I already talk to the Commander who was protecting my territory and he said, that there were still monsters who were lurking and was attacking them, but it was much lesser than before the whole empire was illuminated by the sun light."
He said as which made nodded at what he said.
"How about the barrier in your territory Lord Dorkinya and Lord Roys?"
I asked as I looked at the two of them who even cleared their throat when I called their names.
"The barrier was still intact, but ever since the hunting festival, we didn’t know why it became weaker and we only knew about what happened to you three days ago."
Lord Roys said as he looked at me in the eyes as he was telling me those words.
I looked at the map again that was on the table and I scanned it again.

I looked at Jarnus and Ernie looking who just appeared at the door as they just arrived from somewhere.
"Any news?"
I asked and I looked at the two of them and they both shook their head.
"We tried to look at the east, but we couldn’t find something that was unusual there."
Ernie said as Jarnus went straight to the table where there are some glasses that Mildred and the other maids served awhile ago.
"But we already evacauted the people, the duke lent us this morning with some of mana stones so we won’t be having a hard time from evacuating them here."
Jarnus said when he finished drinkin the water and both of them even looked exhausted.
"That’s good to here."
I said as I looked at them.
"Where’s Hellion?"
I asked when I turn to my side and didn’t see him there.
"Didn’t he said good bye?"
The emperor said as he looked at while I was frowning.
"No, he didn’t."
I said, He might went with Flamear to get Hernand.
"We must need to know where they were hiding first before we could touch anything."
I said as I looked at them and I almost groaned in frustration as we already waste two days, and we were down to three days more, before the blood moon occur.
"How about in the other territories? Did you noticed them?"
I asked as I looked at Zerth and Erkin who nodded at what I said.
"They were cooperating and was going to leave their home before evening today."
They both said and Father looked at me with worry on his eyes.
"We can’t accomodate so much people, there are still some areas that we need to secure."
I said as I was trying to weigh whether the place is big or not for people to stay there for their own safety.
The palace is the unsafest place now as it was always a target of the monsters and the Tenebrisayan magician who thinks their Emperor was there.
And beside we still didn’t have any clue where they were hiding.

Hellion didn’t say good bye to Acantha when he went with Flamear to go to infirmary to fetch Hernand.
"She won’t get mad, won’t she?"
He asked as he looked at Flamear when they were inside Hernand’s office in the infirmary.
"She probably will be confused to where you are, but I know my Lady she will eventually realize that you were with me."
Flamear said as he looked at him.
Hellion was worried at Hernand, he had and idead about what happened last night as he fetch Acantha and even caught her before she get unconscious, but he didn’t know what really happened.
"What are you two doing here?"
Hellion looked at Hernand who looked like he didn’t had a shower since last night.
"Acantha was looking for you, she was probably worried that you will overwork yourself."
He said as he looked at the latter who sighed.
"I am fine."
Hernand casually said as he sat on his chair while still looking at the chart that he might got from his patients.
"You don’t look fine."
Hellion said as he scanned him from head to feet.
"I’ll be fine."
He said as he sighed again.
"They were looking for you."
He siad that’s when Hernand seems to stop from doing what he was doing.
"I need to handle this." Hernand replied as he went to look at the papers in front of him, but Hellion knew that he might seems to make himself busy, but his mind is in somewhere else.
"You should rest."
Hellion said as he sighed this time, as everytime he say a word Hernand has always answer for it.
"I can’t rest, not until what happened."
Hernand said as hel looked at Flamear wh was also looking at him.
"I may not know what really happened in here, I only heard few from people whispers yesterday, but you should know that it wasn’t your fault."
Hellion finally said it which Hernand stiffened and he saw tears falling down to the paper that he was reading.
"How was it not my fault? We lost so many lives because of the person I trusted."
Hernand said as he was blaming himself.
"This is all I could do to atone for her sin, and it was my fault for letting her handle things in here."
He said as he looked at him, as he wiped his tears.
This was the first time he saw Hernand cry since he was a kid.
Hellion always knew Hernand as a playful person, who loves making funny jokes that he finds not funny.
"And those knights and people that died because of Sherama, they have a family too. They have a family that was waiting for them and trusted us to heal them and send them back to them."
He continued as Hellion and Flamear was just listening to him.
"This is my only way to atone, it might not me who killed them, but it was still partly my fault."
He said as he looked at Hellion in his eyes.
"You shoul also know that were about to go war, Acantha and Flamear will fight too, if you overwork yourself here, who will help us in time?"
Hellion said and Hernand seemed to be poured with cold water as he look frozen at what he said.
"And those who died ? What about their family? Abanoon was out there with Cataina and we were having a hard time to know there whereabouts, who will heal them if they got hit?"
Hellion continued to make him realize that even if it is painful, they still need to have a grasp on theirselves as they were about to face a bigger and bloody war themselves.

The three of them looked at each when they heard an explosion from the outside.
"The monster was attacking us!"
The knight who entered the office yelled and his eyes widened when he saw them there.

"Take care of those who were wounded."
Hellion said as he run outside and Flamear followed him.
The palace was in chaos as this place doesn’t have any barriers and the monsters flock like they were everywhere.
Hellion saw the knights were strugling to supress them.

Hellion pulled out his sword and starts fighting against with monster.
While Flamear was growling at them and was bitting them on their head which turned them into ashes.
They keep on fighting along side the knights, When Hellion notice something from a far.

He yelled as he pointed at one of the monster who seems to had his own intelligent as he was running to somewhere.
The knights were still figthing them, and as he and Flamear run to chase that monster while they were fighting the monsters who were on their way.
They keep running after the monster who went to somewhere and suddenly when it reaches the forest it flies, and Hellion point at Flamear to run after it , and so they did.
The monster was going to the east, but in a place that Flamear and the other missed.
It was a temple.
A temple that looks abandoned, and the monster went near to that temple , and disappeared.
"They are here."
Flamear said to him.
The nodded and decided to go to Klartis first and they knew that Hernand could handled everything at infirmary, they needed to tell them what they saw.
