(The core was not in the head, that means it must had been in the chest.)

"BITCH!" – shouted Maparapara as tore apart the net covering her body and swung her shields at the warrior, hitting and knocking back the warrior away from her.

"Tch!"

(I missed?) – thought warrior as he quickly leaped away, dodging the fallow up attack that was launched by the slime.

(FUCK! THAT WAS WAY TOO CLOSE!) – thought Maparapara as the piercing strike didn’t managed to strike the core that was right in the middle of the slime’s body.

(I get what the fuck he was doing now!)

(He wasn’t attacking to just deal damage! He was looking for my core!) – thought alarmed slime as she was wary of the warrior, causing yet another stand off where both side just stood in place.

(Should I relocate the core? But what if he is expecting that?)

(Honestly, now that I know he is looking for the core, his chances of finding it once again has reached 0%)

(...But... I can’t say I’m not scared.)

"..."

(Ah... This is truly problematic.) – thought warrior.

(At first, I thought that not aiming for the core was smart decision, since it could result in me getting easily countered.)

(But now that I’ve experience first hand her durability and some skills, she was hiding... I now know for sure.)

(This fucking woman is beyond hard to kill!)

(I can feel my attacks dealing damage to her... But still... I thought cannon would honestly deal way more damage to her, but she was able to endure it and not even came out from it half dead.)

(The attack just now I did was gamble... Which by the looks of things failed.)

(Still, she must had taken noticeable amount damage.) – thought warrior as he destroyed both of his weapons, alarming the slime.

"Well then, this won’t do." – said warrior.

"If I’m being honest, there is no way this form can defeat you."

"...No. Don’t you fucking dare!" – said Maparapara as she instantly realized what is going on.

"If this form won’t do, then I shall show you."

"My true being." – said warrior as Maparapara instantly rushed and swung her shield at the warrior, catching the warrior off guard as he barely leaped away, dodging the attack.

"THE FUCK?!" – shouted warrior.

"WHAT?! YOU THOUGHT I WOULD JUST LET YOU TRANSFORM!?" – shouted Maparapara as in desperation she rushed at the warrior, smashing him with her shields and knocking back the enemy, who quickly regained his balance and manifested two weapons, one handed shield as well as a katana like sword, which he used to defend himself as the slime rushed in.

(FUCK! HE WAS ALREADY OVERPOWER BULLSHIT ENEMY!) – thought panicking Maparapara as she swung her shield over and over, putting pressure on the warrior.

(BUT YOU ARE TELLING ME HAS A SECOND PHASE?! NO THANK YOU!) – thought Maparapara as the warrior tried making some distance away from the slime, only for her in desperation start unleashing smashing and shockwave attacks which destroyed everything around the slime, causing the warrior to have trouble moving around as he was forced to defend himself.

(What the fuck do you mean this form cannot defeat me!? BUDDY! YOU FUCKING HIT ME SO HARD SO MANY TIMES, THAT EVEN ME! ONE OF THE FUCKING BEST TANK PLAYERS IN THE GAME ENDED UP LOSING A LOT OF HP!)

(YOUR FUCKING CANNON COULD BE CONSIDER AN INSTANT DEATH ATTACK TOO!) – thought Maparapara as she was trying to put non stop pressure on the warrior who was keeping looking for opportunity to back away, but started to realize that the slime was unleashing so many dangerous attacks that the chances of him getting away wasn’t exactly in his favor.

(Do you fucking think I’m "worth it" because I’ve survived that fucking death attack of yours?!)

"[Lava Weapon: Katana And Shield]." – the warrior activated his weapons, alarming Maparapara who instantly put up her guard as the warrior suddenly leaped right at the slime with his shield, smashing into her defensive walls and knocking away the slime.

"?!" – however, the knockback wasn’t strong at all, if anything, it was only the extra effect as the two shields that was wielded by the slime was knocked aside, leaving the slime wide open for the warrior who in turn swung upwards his sword, unleashing a slash projectile that struck the slime.

"BITCH!" – but that was still not enough for the slime to back away as she recovered and swung down her shields once again, unleashing a shockwave that ended up bending the metallic floor.

However, the warrior leaped backwards, dodging the attack unleashed by the slime... But unfortunately, getting in worst possible position as the shields opened up their spikes and in the very next moment, unleashed their hellish blast at the warrior, which ended up instantly devouring the warrior and all of his surroundings.

After getting blasted, the slime swung her shield enchanted with [Defensive Offence] from above, crushing the warrior beneath the massive metallic wall.

But even while getting crushed from above by the massive object, the warrior was able to resist and push back the shield with his own brute force, surprising and terrifying the slime who quickly used her [Slime Power: Strike], spreading her body beneath the shield and attacking the warrior, landing a solid strike... But not making the warrior lose his stand as he pushed back the shield, breaking free.

"!?" – or so he thought, as Maparapara used her [Slime Power: Bind], spreading her body and wrapping the lava creature’s legs with her being, trapping his movement for the slime to unleash her [Bison Art: Weapon Charge], unleashing her shield like a raging bison that struck the warrior, dealing critical damage to him.

(SHIT! NEED TO CHANGE WEAPONS!) – thought the warrior as he swung down his sword, cutting away the slime that bound him in order to get away.

"[Bastion Will: The Battle Wall]!" – but as the warrior attempted to get away, the slime smashed down her shield, causing several walls to sprout out from the ground, which ended up striking the warrior.

"[Bastion Will: Cannon Wall]!" – and right after that, Maparapara manifested spectral cannons on top of her shield which ended up blasting the warrior.

(More cannons?!) – thought the warrior as he didn’t expected the slime to have a skill that works the exact same way as her cannon shields.

The warrior tried backing away, trying to swamp out his weapon, but the slime wasn’t having it.

Maparapara continued in total desperation trying to restrict the knight’s movement, fully knowing that the enemy was not only aiming to change his weapons in order to unleash a skill, but he was most importantly aiming to make enough distance in order to go into phase two.

However, while trying to stop the warrior, one of her attacks missed, giving the warrior a chance to quickly leap away and change up his weapons.

"[Lava Weapon: Lance And Great Sword]!" – the warrior transformed his weapons into two two-handed weapons, which instantly activated.

The warrior swung his massive blade, unleashing a series of massive slashes, which also thrusting forward his lance in order to unleash his own cannon like shot.

But Maparapara was ready for it and already placed up her defenses, blocking the attacks and causing them to only deal minimal amount of damage to her.

(Damn. This isn’t good.) – thought warrior.

(She finally got the timing right whenever I use my skill.) – thought the warrior as the massive slime once again charged in, aiming to smash the warrior who this time stood his ground and used his own two massive weapons to clash with towering shields.

(I won’t last at this rate.)

(This is battle of endurance.)

(And she is the winner in this category.) – thought warrior as the two sides swung around their weapon, clashing with each other, resulting in most strikes launched being blocked by either sides... But there were several strikes launched by each side that managed to pass through defenses and strike the opponent.

It was a brutal brawl between each side.

HP was keep dropping from both the slime and the lava creature.

But it was a battle of desperation.

Maparapara knew that once the warrior transform, there is a good chance... No. There was a high chance that she could end up being destroyed.

She knew how important the current situation was, that the race for the divinities could pretty much influence the whole fate of this game.

She knew that the longer it takes for her to finish the trial, the more in disadvantage not only her but rest of her team will be.

As for the warrior?

As said before, he was aiming to transform.

But the slime had straight up went berserk, making it beyond extremely high for him to move away, despise having much higher movement speed than the slime.

But... The moment he gets away, the moments he runs away, he will get the opening he needs to transform.

So... The question remains.

Will the slime manage to finish off the warrior in time?

Or will he manage to escape and turn the table around?
