Chapter 638 - 637: Reunion (33)
The little girl seemed a bit lost as she fiddled with her fingers, pursing her lips.
Her big, round, dark eyes gradually filled with tears like bubbles, yet she didn’t cry, looking pitifully aggrieved.
Bella sighed, her expression softening.
The reason she was so nervous earlier was that she was afraid Damian would recognize Talia.
There should no longer be any involvement between them, and Damian was not supposed to know about this child’s existence.
"Talia, how many times have I told you not to judge people by their appearance?" Bella gently wiped away the tears hanging on her eyelashes and asked softly.
"One, two, three..." The little girl counted on her fingers with tears in her eyes and said pitifully, "Many times."
"Did you remember it?" Bella was very patient.
"Yes... I remember." Talia looked up at her, "Mommy, that uncle is different. He also said people shouldn’t be liked just for their appearance, the same as you, Mommy."
Bella was slightly stunned; she really didn’t expect Damian to be so patient in teaching Talia.
The little girl tugged at her hand, "Mommy, can’t I really like the uncle?"
Bella looked at her, "Do you like that uncle very much?"
"Yeah." Talia nodded, her eyes rolling as she spoke earnestly, "He’s very nice."
Bella’s heart trembled. Could this be the power of blood ties?
Talia always liked good-looking people, appearing to have a slight crush, but she had a kind of playful nature where she could flirt a little, yet the moment Bella said no, she could forget about the person entirely without any hesitation.
But today, even when Bella had shown her anger, she still persisted.
"Mommy, what’s wrong?" Seeing Bella in a daze, the little girl tugged at her hand and asked cautiously.
Bella came back to her senses, gently rubbing the stray hair on her forehead, and said, "It’s nothing. Weren’t you tired? Let me hold you while you nap."
"Oh." The little girl responded with some regret, glancing longingly out the window towards Damian before nestling into Bella’s arms to doze off.
After Sharon finished speaking with Director Ford, she also returned to the car. Seeing the girl asleep, she whispered, "Bella, I’m sorry, I didn’t know Mr. Sinclair would join us too."
"Godmother, it’s okay. He can have his fun, and we’ll have ours." Bella smiled.
Sharon suggested, "Why don’t I tell Old Ford that something came up, and we can’t go, and we’ll head back?"
"Godmother, today you and Director Ford are the main event. Besides, I just got back and want to take a stroll outdoors, it’s fine."
Sharon still sighed, aware of the entanglement between Bella and Damian. As her godmother, she naturally sided more with Bella, not wanting to see her suffer like she did in the past because of Damian.
Bella patted the back of her hand, appearing even more composed than her.
Sharon sighed internally, realizing that the once pure and lively girl she knew had truly changed.
After everyone met up, they set off. Over an hour later, the leading car finally stopped.
Director Ford got out of the car and cheerfully ran over, holding a piece of gauze in his hand.
Sharon rolled down the window and asked, "Old Ford, are we there?"
"A little further to go." Director Ford handed the gauze through the window, grinning, "Bella, please use this gauze to temporarily blindfold Sharon."
Bella chuckled, "Director Ford, why so mysterious? What surprise do you have prepared?"
