Sharon Cheney was also intrigued by Director Ford’s mysterious demeanor and couldn’t help but feel a bit expectant, so she asked, "What are you doing?"

Director Ford played mysterious, "You’ll know in a moment. Bella, quickly cover Sharon’s eyes."

Bella Acker took the scarf and smiled, "Godmother, considering how hard Director Ford has worked to prepare this surprise, you should just close your eyes first."

Sharon sighed, her cheeks slightly flushed, glanced at Director Ford, and said, "We’ve known each other for decades, what’s with the surprise?" But even as she complained, she cooperated by closing her eyes.

Bella helped her put on the scarf, and Director Ford waved his hand in front of her to make sure she couldn’t see before saying, "We’ll arrive in a few minutes, Sharon, hang in there."

After giving out instructions, Director Ford happily ran back.

The car continued to move forward. Bella rolled up the window and said, "Godmother, Director Ford really cares a lot about you."

"I know." Sharon’s lips also turned upwards slightly, but then she sighed again, "I just can’t get past the hurdle in my heart. Bella, do you know about Lynn and her father? Has Elaine mentioned it to you?"

"No," Bella shook her head. She had known Sharon for so many years, but had never met Lynn and her father, making it clear where they might be.

Sharon was silent for a while before saying, "Lynn and her father died saving me."

Bella knew they must have died, but she didn’t expect there was such a reason behind it.

Sharon continued, "At that time, I had just finished filming a movie and could take two days off. Lynn and her father had planned the route in advance, and the three of us went on a self-driving tour. We got into a car accident when passing the Sagan Bridge, and our car plunged into the river. Lynn and her father both helped me out of the car, but they sank with the car... I’ve always felt that my life carries the lives of Lynn and her father. Tell me, how can I carry their lives and live with another person?"

So, that was it.

Bella listened, feeling deeply moved, "Godmother, Lynn and her father would want you to live, I believe no one would hope to see you living happily more than they would. Even for their sake, you should bravely grasp happiness and live joyfully."

"Is it really so?" Sharon’s voice trembled a bit.

"Of course," Bella affirmed, "If I were dead, I would definitely wish for my loved ones to be happy."

"Bella..." Sharon held her hand very tightly.

Bella noticed a circle of dampness spreading on the scarf, knowing she was crying.

"Godmother, Director Ford is a man worth entrusting your life with."

"I know." Sharon nodded and smiled, "Bella, thank you for enlightening me."

Bella smiled without saying a word; in fact, Sharon had already known the answer in her heart, she just couldn’t get past that inner hurdle.

The car stopped once more, and Director Ford ran over cheerfully again, Bella opened the car door for him.

"Sharon, we’re here. Come, let me help you out of the car, be careful of your steps, the ground is not very even." Director Ford held Sharon’s hand cautiously; despite being in his fifties, he acted like a clumsy yet lovable young man in love.

Bella got out of the car and looked up to see Damian Sinclair already standing by the car.
