Chapter 708 - 707: Then Give Mommy a Kiss
Damian had already laid out his words, how could Bella really call the housing bureau in front of him to inquire?
"Is the signing done here?" Bella picked up the pen, signed her name at the bottom right of the contract, and filled in the bank card information in the direction he pointed, asking, "Do I need to do anything else?"
"That’s it," Damian put away the contract and said, "Talia misses you, could you stay with her for a while? I need to handle some documents."
After speaking, he put the contract in his bag and took out his laptop, starting to work on documents.
Just like that?
The slap just now, and the words she said, is he really intending to pretend nothing happened?
Bella suddenly felt like she punched a pillow.
She originally thought they would have a big argument, and from then on, have nothing to do with each other, but Damian completely restrained his temper, took a slap from her, heard harsh words, and simply endured it all.
In the past, he might have turned around and walked away.
Bella’s heart ached a little, watching his lowered eyes on the computer, not knowing what to say or do.
Damian opened the computer but didn’t actually read a single word, feeling dull and frustrated inside, unable to calm down.
They sat face to face, but neither made a sound.
Bella took out her phone and texted Judy, "The car here is spacious, why don’t you come over?"
Judy quickly replied, "I’m reporting work to Ms. Young, I’ll be there later."
"Remember to call me when work starts."
"Okay."
Bella put away her phone and stole a glance at Damian across from her, sighing silently.
"Mommy," the little girl gently tugged on the hem of her clothes, signaling her in a very low voice.
Bella leaned closer, and the little girl whispered, "Mommy, you shouldn’t always bully Daddy."
Bella was taken aback, "Did you see just now?"
The little girl nodded, "When Mommy is not around, as long as Grandma doesn’t have time, Daddy will come pick up me and Uncle. Daddy is very good, Mommy should not bully him."
Bella didn’t expect Talia had seen it, feeling a bit self-conscious, "Alright, I won’t bully him from now on. Go ahead and sleep." With that, she gently patted the little girl, coaxing her to sleep.
The little girl shook her head, "Mommy should apologize to Daddy."
"When did you wake up?"
"When you hit Daddy."
Luckily, the child didn’t see Damian kiss her.
Bella let out a breath of relief, soothingly said, "You sleep, Mommy will apologize."
"I want to watch Mommy apologize."
Bella raised an eyebrow, "You little rascal, in your eyes, who is more important, Mommy or Daddy?"
"Of course, it’s Mommy," the little girl said earnestly, "But mistakes should be apologized for, that’s what Mommy taught me. Mommy shouldn’t cheat, go on."
Bella sighed, straightened up, looked at Damian, hesitated for a while, and then said softly, "I’m sorry."
Damian looked up at her, "You didn’t do anything wrong, you don’t need to apologize to me."
Bella turned back to look at the little girl, spreading her hands.
The little girl climbed up from the sofa, took a few quick steps to Damian’s side, clambered up his leg, and settled into his lap, saying in a baby voice, "Daddy, don’t be sad, Mommy didn’t mean it."
Damian reached out to support the little girl’s back, letting her sit more comfortably.
"Daddy, can you forgive Mommy, please?"
