"Yeah." Damian Sinclair lifted his eyelids and glanced at her, saying, "Stop skewering things."

"But... but isn’t it a bit inappropriate to recognize a daughter before getting married? And she’s my daughter; aren’t you afraid your family will oppose it?" Bella Acker asked.

"What does recognizing a daughter have to do with their opposition?" Damian Sinclair replied, "Even if I marry you now, they wouldn’t oppose."

"Why..." Bella instinctively blurted out, nearly asking why, but she quickly held back, giving a faint smile, "Mr. Sinclair really knows how to joke."

"I’m not joking." Damian Sinclair looked at her seriously and said, "My mom has come around."

Meeting his serious gaze, Bella was taken aback, nervously averting her eyes and softly said, "That has nothing to do with me." After saying this, she didn’t wait for Damian to say anything more and quickly walked over to Director Ford’s side to help with the barbeque.

The light in Damian’s eyes dimmed slightly; he knew that not showing up five years ago had certainly dealt her a significant blow, so he now allowed her to escape.

As long as she hasn’t fallen in love with someone else, it doesn’t matter who is around her; he will win her back.

Once some barbeque was ready, everyone sat around a mat, bringing out a box with ice packs inside, chilling beer and drinks.

Director Ford raised the beer in his hand and said, "Today is a truly epoch-making day, very worthy of celebration. I toast everyone!" While speaking, he took a special glance at Sharon Cheney.

Sharon Cheney had a smile at the corner of her mouth, and everyone raised their glasses together.

"President Sinclair, I heard that your company’s diamond brand is looking for an ambassador? Do you have a suitable candidate?" Director Ford naturally asked because he had someone to recommend.

"We already have someone." Damian Sinclair handed Talia a skewered roasted potato that was specially made without chili or cumin powder.

Director Ford was a bit surprised, "Wasn’t it undecided just a few days ago?"

"Just decided, we’re preparing to discuss the specific contract." Damian Sinclair placed a skewer of meat in front of Bella Acker’s bowl, "Eat more, put some meat back on."

He wasn’t here just for the barbeque; he clearly came to look after someone. Like the head of the household caring for the tastes of his daughter and wife.

Director Ford got embarrassed, stopped that topic, and gave Sharon another skewer of plain-flavored lotus slices, muttering, "As if no one has a wife to pamper. Sharon, is there anything else you want to eat? I’ll barbeque it for you."

Sharon was a bit embarrassed, quietly said, "Old Ford, stop messing around."

"Pampering one’s wife is no messing around." Director Ford, with particularly thick skin, spoke sweet words, "As long as you like, I’d be eager to pluck the sun from the sky for you."

"That would kill a lot of people with heat." Sharon laughed, and the two assistants nearby couldn’t help but chuckle.

An assistant teased, "Director Ford, you’ve directed so many shows yet haven’t mastered a few sweet words?"

"Go, go, go, my sincerity is far better than those flashy sweet words. What do you know? Right, Sharon?" Director Ford finished speaking with a face asking for praise, almost asking for compliments and kisses with signs on his forehead.

"Yes." Sharon nodded with a smile, but inside, she was deeply moved.

After all, not everyone can withstand silently waiting and liking someone for more than ten years, especially when this person was once a playboy who never got entangled amidst a sea of flowers.
