Chapter 644 - 643: Reunion (39)
Damian Sinclair looked at Bella Acker expressionlessly, and Bella Acker coldly glared back at him.
"Acker the Puppy..." Damian gritted his teeth, "You’ve spent five years abroad and instead of gaining weight, you’ve gained guts?"
"None of your business." Bella continued to struggle, "Mr. Sinclair, we’re not close, please don’t casually give me nicknames! Let me down!"
"You try moving again?" Damian threatened with a stern face.
Bella ignored his threat, continuing to struggle to break free from his hold.
"Smack!"
Bella suddenly widened her eyes, looking at him in disbelief.
Damian... Damian, this old rascal actually... actually smacked her butt!
There seemed to be a quick flicker of amusement in Damian’s eyes, but it disappeared so fast that Bella didn’t manage to catch it before it vanished without a trace.
"If you move again, I’ll smack again." Damian said with a tense face.
Bella gritted her teeth, "Put me down!" She said and struggled again.
"Smack!" Damian truly did as he said and smacked her butt again, and he didn’t hold back.
Bella felt the pain from her butt and the warmth from his palm, her face flushed red, "Damian Sinclair, you... you have no shame!"
How could he smack her butt again?
Does he not know that the butt is a very private place for girls?
Frustrated and a bit aggrieved, Bella bit her lower lip, glared at Damian, even her eyes were slightly red.
Seeing this, Damian felt a bit pained and couldn’t help but reflect on whether he had indeed hit her too hard just now. But finally being able to hold her openly, he felt it would be a pity to let go.
Damian softened his tone and said, "You’ve twisted your ankle, if you keep forcing it, you won’t be able to walk tomorrow. I’ll carry you over and rub it with some medicinal oil, you might be able to walk on your own in a bit."
"Really?"
"It’s just a sprain, didn’t hurt the bone, of course it’s true." Seeing she stopped struggling, Damian continued to hold her as they walked.
Bella clenched her teeth and lowered her eyes, thinking about it; to avoid being smacked again, she finally compromised.
After walking a bit further, Damian hissed, "Ms. Acker, could you lift your arm over my neck to lend some support? I feel like the wound on the back of my hand has burst open."
"Ah?" Bella suddenly remembered the knife wound he received last night and hastily reached to wrap her arm around his neck, "Your hand is injured, let me down and I’ll walk myself."
"Struggling so fiercely before, now you finally remember my hand is injured?" Damian raised an eyebrow at her, a slight curve in the corner of his mouth that quickly smoothed, almost failing to suppress a smile.
This time, however, Bella saw it and frowned, "The wound on the back of your hand didn’t burst open, you’re teasing me aren’t you?"
Damian just continued carrying her forward, neither saying yes or no.
Bella ground her teeth, practically tempted to bite down hard on this man’s face.
Feeling annoyed, yet ultimately worried about the wound on the back of his hand, she kept her arm wrapped around his neck without loosening it.
A gentle breeze brushed their faces, sunny warmth enveloped them, walking like this on a small stone path flanked by golden sunflowers, Damian carrying Bella, he felt a wish for the path to never end.
At his age, he was having those impractical dreams like a middle schooler.
Damian himself found the sudden thought a bit laughable, but his arm holding Bella tightened just a bit more.
