Neither of them spoke, and the car turned onto Valen Street.

The taxi driver asked, "Miss, where should I stop on Valen Street?"

"Just stop at the intersection ahead, thank you."

The taxi pulled over by the roadside, Bella took out money and handed a hundred to the driver, saying, "Driver, please take him home as well."

"No need." Damian opened the car door and got out.

The driver had no choice but to hand back some change.

"Sorry about that." Bella took the money, got out of the car, and only after the taxi drove away, she said, "Mr. Sinclair, I’ve arrived home, thank you for bringing me back."

Damian didn’t say anything, Bella paused and then continued, "I’ll head inside now, goodnight."

She walked into the community, Damian stood behind without saying a word.

Bella let out a sigh of relief but felt somewhat empty inside, standing in the community for a long time before heading into the building.

Sharon opened the door, "Bella, you’re back. Did you drink quite a bit? There’s chilled white fungus soup here for you."

"I drank a little." Bella changed her shoes and entered, glancing upstairs, "Mom, are Ethan and Talia asleep?"

"Yes. They’ve been asleep for a while." Sharon brought out the chilled white fungus soup, saying, "Talia looked for you before sleeping, but Ethan helped to take her to bed."

"I’ll go upstairs to check on them first."

"Second room on the left, Ethan is sleeping with Talia. Check on them and then come down to have the white fungus soup."

"Alright." Bella smiled and went upstairs to see the two children.

Only a bedside lamp was left on in the room, Bella tiptoed in after opening the door.

Talia was leaning against Ethan, sprawled out comfortably, her face and belly exposed outside the blanket.

Bella pulled the blanket over her small belly and bent down to kiss her face.

The little girl was usually very quirky, intelligent, and sensible, not causing trouble. During the day, she didn’t cling to Bella, but at night when it’s time to sleep, she would certainly look for her mom.

Ethan’s eyelashes fluttered and he opened his eyes, whispering, "Sister, you’re back."

"Yes, did I wake you?" Bella also covered Ethan with the blanket, then adjusted the room’s air conditioning temperature up by two degrees to prevent the kids from catching a cold at night.

"No." Ethan shook his head, "Sister, it’s late, you should wash up and sleep early too."

"Alright." Bella ruffled Ethan’s hair, "I’ll wash up and then sleep, you continue sleeping, goodnight."

"Goodnight."

The girl beside him, maybe unconsciously, also responded with a soft, sleepy voice after hearing the words "goodnight", "Mommy, good... night." Her voice was very light, clearly asleep.

Bella’s heart instantly softened, she kissed the girl’s forehead with a smile, "Talia, goodnight."

After wishing the two kids goodnight, Bella exited the room, closed the door, and went downstairs.

Sharon was standing outside on the living room balcony and only walked inside when she saw Bella come down, quietly asking, "He brought you back?"

Bella paused, and Sharon gestured towards the balcony with her eyes.

Bella walked quickly over; from the balcony, she could see the community entrance, and indeed saw Damian still standing where he had gotten out of the car earlier.

"Does he not have money for a taxi? Mom, I’ll go check." Bella grabbed her wallet and dashed out of the door wearing slippers.

Damian was standing at the entrance of the community. When he saw Bella, his eyes lit up for a moment, but then they returned to calm.
