We have a level system in place for mankind.

scene: 155 Raymond of Agarta

Raymond of England made his way to Japan in preparation. The ship is also on a cruise aboard the Solar Grace. This ship has the ability to navigate at a cruising speed of 9 knots and has a track record of traveling around the world in about four months.

The Suez Canal is no longer usable, so I traveled south along the African continent to the west of the Iberian Peninsula and circled Cape Town into the Indian Ocean.

We had a big storm near the Philippines, but we managed to get into the harbor and survive. From there, we head for the Pacific Ocean to Oshima, Japan. Ambassador Rosen of the United States told me that the Japanese counter was on Oshima.

The Solar Grace arrived on Oshima, docked in the harbor and waited for someone to come. Soon a microbus appeared and stopped near the Solar Grace.

Two men get out of the car and approach the ship.

“Where did you come from?”

Questioned in English.

"We came from England. I want to negotiate with the Japanese government."

"All right, land me." I'll show you to your accommodation. ”

Raymond gets off the ship and gets on the Japanese microbus.

"Are you from the Japanese government?"

"No, I'm from the Foreign Office in Yasilo State. Japan is a federation of city states."

The name became "state", but in reality it remained a city-state. That was because the state was highly independent and had little economic interaction. However, only Yashiro province has a developed economy, affecting the entire Agarta province.

Raymond began negotiating with the Japanese at the accommodation on Oshima.

“I'd like to visit a food area in Japan, but can I get a permit?”

The Agarta side thought that there would be such an offer someday, and the response was manualized.

“You want to see it, then we have a permit from Congress.”

As long as it is not an enemy of Japan, it is allowed to visit. The next day, Raymond and his three guards move from the transfer dome on Oshima to the food area.

The Stone Circle on Agarta's side was protected by a bulwark similar to that of the United States. Guarded men armed with submachine guns are looking down at the Stone Circle from above the wall.

"This way."

The guide is a Japanese named Yadabe, and she seems to have worked in the United Kingdom in automobile-related work.

Mr. Yadabe, where are you going to visit?

"It will be the city of Kazsa. It's going to be a relatively new town, but it's going to be a big town with a population of about 100,000 people.”

This city of Cazusa was built as a model city that could be shown to other countries. The radially regular stretch of the main road was wide, and the building was new.

Seeing the city, Raymond felt beautiful. There are also many buses on the road, and there seems to be plenty of transportation.

"Is that bus powered by electricity?"

“Yeah, isn't England the same?”

It is true that the automobile that runs in the food area of the United Kingdom is an electric vehicle. However, there was no new car. I'm taking an old electric car to a food area to use.

However, there is a seemingly new electric car on the road here.

"It's Japan, isn't it?" What happened to the electronics? "

Yada shrugged her shoulders.

“The car I'm running is a newly designed car with very little electronics. We plan to start producing electronics in the future, but we think it will take some time to build in the food area.”

"I guess so." But what about the rubber? ”

“We process and use sap from trees that were native to the food area.”

I see, there was something similar to a rubber tree.

It turns out that when we add sulfur and nitrogen to the quell resin that we get from the tree of production, it changes to a substance that also has properties like rubber.

“By the way, what about Agarta's electricity?”

Raymond asked what he wanted to hear most. I was expecting to be asked about this, so I prepared the answer.

"Some of them are hydroelectric."

"Hydropower alone shouldn't be a bribe."

“Before I answer, could you tell me about the current situation in the UK?”

What's the status quo?

"It's a civil war, it's a food war, it's a relationship with other countries."

“The civil war, which has taken many victims, is over. The borders of the food zone will be fixed, and there will be no civil war.”

I thought Yadabe was still uneasy. It's stable now, but if we just tell the British about the technology of the Red Thunderstone power plant, it could start a civil war again.

“We'll talk about Agarta's power generation after we get permission from Congress.”

“So, do you have any special power generation systems?”

"I can't say that yet."

Although it is said that Agarta has a special power generation system, we still don't think that it is a technology like a red lightning stone power generation device. Yadabe thought so.

While Raymond was staying in Cazusa, a congress was held to discuss whether to hand over the technology for the red lightning stone power plant to the United Kingdom.

As a result of the congress, it was decided to inspect and judge the food area in Europe directly. The person named Seta of the Foreign Affairs Bureau was appointed to conduct the inspection, and it was decided that Kawai and I would escort him.

When something happened, it was decided that Kawai and I could bring Seta back. It is convenient because I wanted to see the situation in Europe directly myself.

Incidentally, there is a very low probability that Britain will take Seta hostage or force her to extract information. Because the United Kingdom also knows that it will buy Japanese antipathy and will not be able to obtain future cooperation.

I decided to take the Solar Grace to England. There are planes in my subspace, but that's just a way to escape in case.
