Chapter 351 - 202: Dragon Spear (2)
The Lidton Family Head immediately gave the order: "Seal the mountain! Report to the London Tower! Get the Trial Takers inside out of there, quickly!"
"But what about the people still inside?" an Elder asked.
The mountain range doesn’t just contain Lawbreakers; it’s also full of elites from the various Old Blood Clans and organizations.
The Beowulf Family can’t just abandon all those people in Dragon Spear Plaza.
The Lidton Family Head looked at Professor Frankenstein. "The Barrier is down. Professor, I must ask you to make an exception and use your Communication Magic. It will inform Elder Pence and the Knights of the Griffin Knight Order. Please tell them to save who they can..."
He sighed and said, "The Dragon Calamity is coming."
No matter the reason for a Pure-blood Ancient Dragon coming to the Dracul Mountain Range, the end result is always the same.
The surrounding Dragon Descendants, terrified by its Dragon Mighty, will begin a chaotic migration.
Dragons are creatures with a strong sense of hierarchy. A fourth-generation wouldn’t dare approach a third-generation’s territory, and likewise, a third-generation wouldn’t approach the territory of a subspecies.
As for a Pure-blood Ancient Dragon, it can be considered the Emperor of the Dragon Race.
Its appearance will cause even some High Tier Dragon Descendants that hadn’t joined the Dragon Tide to begin migrating. It’s possible that the Dragon Descendants hiding on the eastern side of the mountains will rush out as well. At that point, it won’t just be the Beowulf Family’s territory and the surrounding cities that are affected.
It could be all of Wales!
In the entire history of the Dracul Mountain Range, an event of this magnitude has only happened once.
That was Poison Dragon Glanville. The ancestor of the Beowulf Family killed Glanville in this very mountain range, preventing a Dragon Calamity that would have swept across Wales.
"The Dragon Spear! The Dragon Knight has the Dragon Spear! Maybe he can stop the Dragon Tide!" an Elder of the Beowulf Family suddenly exclaimed. "Since he was able to draw the Dragon Spear, and he’s a Dragon Knight contracted to a Pure-blood Ancient Dragon, he might be able to use it."
"Tell him that as long as he can stop this Dragon Calamity from erupting and release Isabella, the Beowulf Family will let him leave the Dracul Mountain Range."
The Lidton Family Head shook his head. "This Dragon Calamity was triggered by a Pure-blood Ancient Dragon. Even if Constantine is a Dragon Knight who, as those two Silver Dragon Guides said, is contracted to a Pure-blood Ancient Dragon, at best, they’re of the same Tier."
"Besides, even if he is contracted to a Pure-blood Ancient Dragon and wields the Dragon Spear, there’s a Pure-blood Ancient Dragon on the scene right now. If he had a solution, he wouldn’t have been besieged by the Dragon Descendants commanded by the Gale Dragon earlier."
The Elder who had spoken nodded. The Lidton Family Head had also participated in the dragon-guiding ceremony many years ago and had almost lit up Eight Dragon Patterns.
If he said so, he must have his reasons.
「On the plaza.」
Surrounded by Griffin Knights and a crowd of Law Enforcers, Baron jeered at Elder Pence:
"Didn’t you hear the message that professor sent just now? Wax Dragon Bad has appeared, the Dragon Calamity is about to erupt, and you were told to take your people and run. With so many of you blocking me, are you trying to die here with me?"
Elder Pence glanced at Roy’s body, which was covered by a white sheet by the Griffin Knights, and said coolly, "It won’t be too late to leave after I kill you."
"I have the future Patriarch of the Beowulf Family in my hands. Aren’t you afraid I’ll kill her?"
Baron pressed the tip of the Dragon Spear against Isabella’s snow-white neck. "Let me go, or I’ll kill her."
Elder Pence said, "Constantine, you’ve killed enough people. Don’t you feel the slightest bit of remorse?"
"Sometimes," Baron said, "but that’s usually during post-nut clarity."
RUMBLE! RUMBLE!
Wax Dragon Bad was still circling in the sky, its sharp shrieks trailing gales that tore at the lightning. The entire mountain range suddenly began to tremble and shake.
A Dragon Guide shouted, "The Dragon Tide! The Dragon Tide has erupted!!!"
Hearing this, a group of Trial Takers ran to the edge of the plaza to look. They gasped when they saw the horde of dragons, a churning black tide.
This was more than a Dragon Tide; compared to what came before, you could call it a Dragon-quake!
ROAR!
Then, another dragon’s roar came from the sky.
Baron looked up and saw a figure emerge from the distant thunderclouds.
"Constantine Brothers!"
Golden-haired Jack stood atop a Little Flying Dragon, one hand on the reins, the other holding down a cowboy hat that had appeared from nowhere. His golden hair streamed in the wind. Though he wore a mask, he still brought to mind a cowboy from the movies, looking incredibly heroic. "I’m here to save you!"
He somehow produced an oversized personal rocket launcher that looked like it came from the Westminster Cathedral’s logistics department and aimed it at Elder Pence in the plaza.
"Fuck you, Old Blood Nobility! Let my brother go! Or I’ll fire!"
’Fuck,’ Baron cursed inwardly, ’why am I a little touched by this?’
But at that moment, Wax Dragon Bad glanced over. Jack’s ride, the Little Flying Dragon, let out a mournful cry and suddenly crashed, taking Golden-haired Jack down with it.
Smoke from the explosion billowed dozens of meters into the air. It looked like the thing in Jack’s hands was the real deal.
In his arms, Isabella’s long brows knitted together and her phoenix eyes glanced sideways, as if to say this was also part of the plan.
Baron shrugged. "This part of the plan might not have been communicated properly."
RUMBLE! RUMBLE! RUMBLE!
A louder noise came from halfway up the mountain. The Dragon Tide was ascending. Looking down from the plaza, the entire mountain was a dense, seething mass, like a tree trunk swarmed by ants.
Panic spread through the crowd.
"Elder Pence!" The Trial Takers panicked at the approaching Dragon Tide. "We have to go! If we don’t leave now, it’ll be too late!"
Hearing everyone’s urging, Elder Pence clenched his fists before finally ordering the Griffin Knights to take flight with the people.
He then turned to face Baron. "Put down Miss Isabella and Dewey. I will let you leave the Dracul Mountain Range."
Baron said, "I won’t believe a word you say until our Mr. Wilder and the Battle Nuns are on board."
