Elder Pence’s face twitched.

At Baron’s words, the Trial Takers seated on the Griffins glanced around at each other.

’Silver Lion Wilder, the Leader of the Dragon Heart Knight Order, is here too?’

Sure enough, with a Lion’s Roar, Wilder emerged from behind the Dragon Bone, riding his Silver Lion.

’And what about the Battle Nuns?’

The Battle Nuns, who had been hiding in the shadows, revealed themselves.

Lian gripped her tachi tightly, her expression tense.

Camilla, however, licked her full lips. "You don’t need a ride. You can just ride me."

’What a degenerate,’ Baron complained internally.

Seeing that Wilder and the Battle Nuns had left, Baron finally relaxed a little.

’I’m a Dragon Knight, and I have this... Dragon Spear. If I’m right, I should be able to hold them back with the power of the Red Dragon.’

As the Dragon Tide drew near, Baron remained unmoved. To the astonishment of the onlookers, he planted the butt of the Dragon Spear on the ground and, just as he’d planned, infused it with Red Dragon Aura.

About thirty seconds later... nothing happened.

The Dragon Tide had already reached the edge of the plaza.

Aboard his Griffin, Elder Pence saw this and scoffed. "Arrogant fool. The Dragon Spear is not so easily wielded."

???

Baron was dumbfounded. ’Did I get it wrong?’

Isabella frowned and whispered a reminder, "Try your blood."

A Dragon Knight’s blood seemed to contain a special kind of Magic Power.

Baron did as she said. Just as the Dragon Tide was about to crash down on him, he pressed his bleeding hand against the Dragon Spear.

Suddenly, it felt as if everything had frozen. A warm current flowed from the shaft of the spear into his body.

It was as if a veil of mist had been lifted from his eyes. Baron suddenly saw a vast, starry sky—and tearing through it, a colossal Golden Dragon Eye.

A voice spoke, "Resurrect the Emperor. That is what I need you to do, Dragoon."

"In exchange, I shall lend you the Dragon Spear. The price for its use is the aura of the Dragon Race... This is a spear capable of slaying even gods."

’Hold on, what the hell is this about resurrecting the Emperor? Who exactly is this Emperor? Emperor Prole? George III? Or Louis XVI? And what’s your relationship with that Electric Dragon from before?’

’And what the hell is a Dragoon? Aren’t I Constantine?’

Before he could ask, Baron snapped out of the Illusion Realm. He saw the Dragon Descendants lunging at him. Dragon Scales had appeared on Isabella’s face, a faint golden light welled up from deep within her eyes, and her Tier Two Beastification was already active. Her purple hair whipped about, the Gold and Silver Rings woven into it jingling as she clearly prepared for a major battle.

Baron quietly watched as Isabella’s gentle, radiant face became savage, covered in scales. For the first time, a flicker of warmth sparked in his heart, like a newly kindled Fire.

’How does that saying go again?’

’The measure of a man’s success is finding a woman willing to go through hell and back for him.’

Baron felt he should add a little something to that.

’Doesn’t matter if she loves you or not—at least she’s loyal.’

There was no more time to think. Baron tightened his grip on the Dragon Spear before him. Dragon Flame flared to life, burning away the vines coiled around the weapon. The Golden Dragon Spear was revealed, and the Dragon Descendants retreated.

The people circling above the plaza cried out in shock at the sight.

Isabella turned her head, staring at Baron in astonishment.

Baron’s pupils were now scarlet-gold. He said in a low voice, "Isabella, when we were kids, you always thought I was a complete idiot, didn’t you? Was it because I was always talking a big game?"

Isabella didn’t understand, but Baron thought she would soon enough.

"I have a great escape plan..."

He suddenly threw his head back to look at the Wax Dragon, Bad, circling overhead. He roared at it, "Hey, Bad! How about it... care for a one-on-one fight?!"

Like a madman, he suddenly thrust his spear toward the sky.

Flames erupted from his body, streaming behind him like a burning battle standard. They were the color of the evening sky after a storm—bloodred.
