Chapter 390 - 221: It’s Really Constantine

Camilla smiled. Her dramatic bust and sheer black stockings had been drawing stares from the surrounding Law Enforcers.

But their stares didn't last long. They were once again shocked by the news that Baron Constantin, the Lawbreaker, was very likely the youngest Silver Tier Law Enforcer in the history of the Inner Side.

"What are those Law Enforcers talking about?" The onlookers all saw the Law Enforcers standing there, dumbstruck.

"They're talking about Baron Constantin." A young lady in a white sun hat hid her face with a feathered fan. "They're saying he's probably not just a Bronze, but very likely a Silver."

"That Red Dragon from before was him."

Baron Constantin was very likely a Silver, and the Red Dragon from before was his transformation… The crowd's eyes widened. They blinked dryly, their facial muscles stiffening as their minds stuttered, trying to process the overwhelming information.

"Silver… They said Constantine is a Silver… Haha, a Bloodless becoming a Silver Dragon Knight… I've got a story! The *Mercury Times* will definitely pay big money for this scoop!"

Suddenly, a man in the crowd quickly raised a camera—CLICK!—and snapped several photos of the scene. By the time the Griffin and Lion Knights reacted, he had already grabbed his camera and fled.

"Silver… really?" Jill ordered the Griffin Knights under her command to hold back the crowd, then looked at Adam.

There was no answer. After saying his piece, Adam had passed out again.

"The Dragon? Did any of you see which way the Dragon went?" Jill mounted her Griffin and asked the surrounding crowd.

The crowd looked at each other, then pointed in one direction.

Jill immediately commanded her Griffin Knights to give chase in that direction. She herself went to a phone booth on the street. While waiting for the call to connect, she inwardly questioned the idea of Constantine being a Pure-blood Dragon Knight over and over.

'Impossible. How could that guy, Baron Constantin, be a Silver… He's supposed to be Bloodless… He *has* to be Bloodless… But now, everything is completely different from how it was before!'

Weakened after reverting from his Dragon Transformation, Baron took off the Dragon Helmet. He noticed that the formerly damaged helmet had changed slightly.

If he had to describe it, the exterior looked newer than before, and the runes engraved on it were brighter, as if they had been polished.

'The Dragon Helmet's purpose is to restore one's sanity, but its side effect is that it forcibly stimulates a Law Enforcer's potential, whether they want it to or not,' Baron thought to himself as he put the Dragon Helmet away.

'No wonder Isabella wanted to use this Dragon Helmet. She probably planned to drink the Dragon Blood to awaken her bloodline and draw her gun, then use the helmet to suppress herself.'

He recalled his own astonishment the moment he transformed into a Dragon, and then he suddenly remembered his first meeting with the Dragon Witch. Back then, the Witch had also taken the form of a Red Dragon.

'But in terms of both physique and size, I'm much smaller than the Witch… Is this due to a difference in Spiritual Power, or something else?'

'Regardless, at least I got my hands on this.'

Baron looked at the test tube of blood in his hand. He had snatched it from Adam.

The mere sight of the blood sent waves of bloodlust surging through him, as if the test tube contained some priceless elixir.

And for him, it truly was.

His Blood Faction senses told him that the tube contained the blood of a High Tier Blood Race, and the most essential part of it at that. Otherwise, his Blood Eyes and fangs wouldn't have appeared against his will.

Including the Werewolf Blood he already had, he had unknowingly collected all the necessary items for his Blood Faction promotion. Well, not quite all of them. According to the *Traveler's Journal*, he was supposed to kill a High Tier Blood Race member and drink their blood. He didn't know if the act of killing was part of the ritual.

Baron shook his head, forcefully suppressing his bloodthirsty instincts as he put the vial into his pocket.

'I don't know the risks of a forced Blood Faction promotion yet. Besides, my Dragon Knight Profession is already at the Bronze Tier. The safest thing to do is wait until I've handled my current business before promoting.'

Ignoring the storm brewing in the outside world, he summoned the Illusory Cocoon and returned to Freya's bedroom, where he saw Jack sitting on the sofa, reading a newspaper.

Jack noticed Baron's arrival and gestured with his head. "Found a family photo."

Baron saw a photograph on the table.

He picked it up and froze.

It was a photo of a familiar young man with Freya.

The reason the young man was familiar was that he had seen his face before.

Not because of his original body's memories, but in Prole. The Undead Knight who had cried out "Fla!" had this exact face!

A realization exploded in his mind, the pieces clicking into place with sudden, jarring clarity.

'It's all connected! It all connects!'

'The Undead Knight is Anthony. Considering that Fla bought Mistletoe Liquid from Mr. Pelton, and what the Undead Knight said before he died… he was probably killed by Freya, or rather, by the Fla inside Freya's body. His spirit, consumed by hatred, ascended to the Spirit Realm—to Prole—and became an Undead Knight.'

'It seems there must be some special, close connection between Prole and Britain.'

'This also proves that the murderer wasn't my original self.' When he had learned from Master Zophie that his original self had specifically commissioned the Canaan Tree Staff, Baron had prepared for the worst. But now, if his guess was correct, it was highly likely he had been worrying for nothing.

Jack added, "I went to Anthony's sealed-off room. His handwriting basically matches the writing on the back of the photo."
