Chapter 147: Watching
Splash!
Tyler’s sword curved diagonally, cleaving the neck of the enemy with one clean sweep.
But he didn’t take the initiative to attack others; instead, he calmly waited. Another enemy appeared, charging a wooden thorn towards him.
Tyler’s sword easily blocked the thorn, but he didn’t continue attacking; instead, he focused on parrying.
Of course, the enemy wasn’t going to let him win.
They had already launched an ambush from four different directions, making it almost impossible to leave.
If Tyler wanted to leave, it wouldn’t be impossible.
He could easily cut through these people, but he didn’t want to. This time, the enemy had led nearly a thousand people.
Compared to their meager three hundred people, it was clear who had the upper hand.
Of course, Tyler didn’t care about that number; instead, his eyes were coldly watching his teammates getting killed left and right.
’Damn it! It’s just as I expected. He was enraged. Not to mention talking to them, he doesn’t even want to save them.’
Mike gritted his teeth, blocking his enemy’s attack as he looked around and analyzed the situation.
He didn’t think Tyler was incapable of helping his teammates. He had already shown incredible strength before.
With his speed and swordsmanship, he could easily kill people who were surrounding him.
But he wasn’t going to do that. Mike understood his anger but couldn’t do anything about it.
He wasn’t even sure if he had the power to stop him if he suddenly started helping the enemy.
Fortunately, he hadn’t done that, which reassured him.
"Save me!"
"Shiro, help me! I am dying."
"Shiro! Help me!"
"Shiro!"
Everyone started screaming, asking for help. The senior soldiers didn’t know much about him, so they just kept fighting.
Unlike newcomers, they were still able to maintain some level of fighting strength against their opponents.
The opponents weren’t all at the peak of the Treasured Body Realm. Some were stuck at third level while others were at the sixth level.
Even so, they had triple the number of enemies attacking them.
"Kuro, are you going all out this time?"
Mike wiped away the blood from his lips and asked.
"Of course!"
Kuro grinned, holding his battle hammer as he shouted.
"Mike, your country will fail miserably this time. Do you understand? This mine will no longer belong to you."
"Even if you somehow manage to kill all of these people, we will defeat you."
Hearing his words, Mike frowned.
"You must be kidding. Kuro, don’t you understand the truth? Our country has the largest number of Masters among the seven countries."
"Even if you kill these low-level cultivators, you will not be able to defeat those masters."
Kuro burst into laughter.
"Hahaha! You don’t understand, Mike. This will be your deathbed, so I don’t mind telling you the truth."
He said as he took out a circular metal ball from his spatial ring.
"Do you know what this is?"
Mike paused, clearly not knowing anything about the ball.
"Hahaha! I knew you knew nothing about this thing. Do you know how many people died because of this?"
"Five Thousand! Five Thousand Fishmen were slaughtered in a single explosion, and that included a Grandmaster."
"This is the weapon our countries hold. Do you think you have the power to fight back?"
"Curse your fate for being too far from its creator!"
Kuro couldn’t contain his smile, his voice so loud that many of the cultivators who were fighting heard his words.
One of them suddenly turned pale.
He turned towards Mike and shouted.
"Commander Mike, you mustn’t let him explode that thing here. It is created by TG Company. They truly demonstrated its power by killing five thousand fishmen."
Hearing his words, Mike’s expression turned ugly, not because he was afraid of that weapon.
He was simply furious because this idiot managed to bring down their team’s fighting spirit from the last form of struggle to zero.
He released a deep breath and said.
"Don’t try to scare me, Kuro! Do you think a Grandmaster would let you keep a weapon capable of killing him?"
Kuro’s expression froze.
Indeed! A grandmaster would never let a master hold a weapon capable of killing them, and even if they did, they couldn’t buy it.
According to TG Company, the weapons capable of killing grandmasters weren’t available to the masses yet due to the cost of manufacturing.
"So what? As long as I take you down, nothing will change here."
Kuro sneered, his eyes turning towards Tyler. He couldn’t help but feel puzzled, not understanding why Tyler was slacking so much.
’Could it be something bad happened between him and the others? Wait, I can pull him to my team.’
Thinking about it, Kuro suddenly made his way towards Tyler with Mike following after him.
Tyler felt confused, but he didn’t let down his guard. If something went wrong, he would definitely use the Hiding in the Void ability.
"Mr. Shiro, are you dissatisfied with the Purple Cloud Country? You can join our alliance. We will definitely do our best to fulfill all of your wishes."
Kuro put on a smiling face as he tried to convince Tyler.
Splash!
Tyler swung his sword, cutting down his enemy before looking at him.
He saw Mike’s expression change drastically.
"No, Shiro! Don’t listen to him! They just plan to use your family’s power to take over the country."
Mike shouted, almost halting the entire battle.
Tyler shook his head.
"I don’t like being a traitor. Of course, after this battle, if they dare not to let me use the Mid-Grade Spirit Vein, I will kill them all."
Hearing his words, Kuro’s expression darkened while Mike released a breath of relief.
"So, you think you can leave this battlefield alive?"
Kuro sneered.
Tyler gave him a confused look.
"What gave you the confidence to kill me? That bomb?"
Suddenly, Tyler’s figure moved towards him. His speed was so fast that Kuro couldn’t even react until Tyler’s body passed through his body.
When Tyler appeared behind him, he chuckled.
"You don’t think I am taking this battle seriously, do you? I am just giving my fellow teammates a chance to earn more kills."
"After all, once I start killing, there will be none left."
He said before passing through Kuro’s body once again.
At this moment, he didn’t realize the shock on Kuro’s face, but he did see Mike’s stunned look.
Tyler ignored their expressions as he was not here to watch them. He calmly walked into the distance, where he started observing the battle.
He realized only a few people dared to be distracted during the battle. They were life-and-death enemies after all.
A slight distraction could lead to their death.
He saw nearly seventy percent of his team being killed. Even then, he didn’t make any move.
He had no interest in saving these people, and his goal was only to use the Mid-Grade Spirit Vein.
With his previous display of weird abilities, most of the enemy team lost all of their courage to attack him.
At this moment, Kuro shouted.
"You bunch of idiots! What are you waiting there? Do you think he will let you go? He will kill you once all of these people die."
"His goal has always been Mid-Grade Spirit Vein. He won’t let you live. Attack him!"
His words sparked fear and anger in the hearts of many. They also realized that if they wanted to live, they had no choice but to kill Tyler.
In fact, they should’ve realized this during Tyler’s conversation with Kuro. Only those fighting weren’t distracted.
Considering there were fewer than fifty people left from Purple Cloud Country while the alliance had over nine hundred people, many were free.
They could afford getting distracted.
So, when they heard his conversation, they should’ve made a move. Unfortunately, they lost all courage when they saw what Tyler did.
That move was so strange that everyone realized not even the explosion of that bomb could kill him.
"Attack him! I could feel his breath only when he appeared behind me. My spiritual sense also locked into him when he appeared behind me."
"If he turns intangible, he can’t hurt you. Just wait for him to turn tangible and attack him!"
Kuro immediately thought of the counterattack and shouted.
This surprised Tyler.
He never expected this man to find the weakness in his ability so quickly.
He couldn’t manipulate the void, only enter it. Because of this, his body was in a different space, not allowing him to interfere with this reality.
Thus, he couldn’t attack.
’As expected of someone with Spiritual Sense. Sure enough! I shouldn’t underestimate anyone.’
’Especially when these people can master the power law, not awaken it through a supernatural intervention but simply master it themselves.’
’That being said, there are still thirty of them remaining. Well, I don’t think I’ve seen them before.’
’So, they must be from senior teams.’
Tyler released a deep breath, his hand holding the hilt of his sword as his mana burst out.
"Fine, I will finish this soon."
