Chapter 234: One Mortal God Walked Into A Warehouse
I let my Guardians go ham on the warehouses for this.
From how they were so eager to wreck the terrorists earlier, I could tell they were pretty frustrated and wanted to let loose as well.
Thus, I didn’t hold them back and I also went on my own to deal with a building by myself as well.
I strolled into the building, right as someone came charging at me holding what looked like a blade of sorts. Except that blade looked like it was forged out of darkness and the sight of it actually made my hair stand slightly.
I didn’t let him get close to me as I smashed him with my floating arm, sending the guy flying back to smash into a metal pillar.
He hit the pillar hard enough that his body bent backwards with a loud crack before he fell back on the ground, his body flopping uselessly as his spine had been snapped in half.
I heard something move above me and leapt forward, narrowly avoiding someone dropping down on me and smashing his fist into the ground.
That guy clearly has enhanced strength as well since a shockwave exploded out from the point of impact which even made me slide a few feet back before I managed to dig in my heels and stop myself.
The guy pulled his fist back from the ground where a hole had been made, his fist seemingly radiating with some kind of red energy.
He didn’t wait and charged towards me, his fist pulled back in preparation of another punch.
I pulled back my floating fist as well and sent it forward, attempting to punch him away just like what I did to the first guy.
Surprisingly, his fist slammed against my gauntlet and I found my gauntlet reeling back from the blow, the guy barely even slowing down as he continued charging towards me.
He then pulled back his other fist and the red energy moved from his previous fist to flow over his shoulder and concentrate on his new fist.
I figured that whatever his power was, it was tied to that red glowing thing and that gave him some kind of supernatural strength or something.
I threw my other gauntleted fist at him and, predictably he met my punch with his, hitting my arm away from him without slowing down.
But as he was moving the red energy back to his other arm, I had thrown my first fist back at him again and watched with satisfaction as his eyes widened in shock before he was smashed by the fist and sent flying away.
Gunshots rang out from somewhere behind me and I felt an impact on my shoulder, the force jerking me forward a step before I spun around and shot out a lightning bolt from my real arm.
The lightning bolt struck one of those terrorists in the chest, piercing through his torso and electrocuting him into a charred corpse before he collapsed onto the ground heavily.
I heard a grunt and turned back to see the guy actually managing to push himself back to his feet albeit on shaky legs.
I didn’t give him a chance to recover completely as I let my floating fist fly forward again and smashed him back into the ground, crushing him under its weight.
Seeing the guy completely crushed, I shifted my attention back to the rest of the warehouse as it came alive with activity.
Seems like the rest of the terrorists who had been hiding somewhere finally decided to come out and play huh?
I summoned three more arms around me and clasped my hands together, each of the gauntlets showing a different rune as I used them to create an impromptu formation in front of me.
The circle lit up and I felt the ground shake before the increased gravity formation took effect over the area, sending quite a number of the terrorists crashing down onto the floor as their legs gave way from under them.
The formation could only last for a moment but this was good enough for me as I leapt into the centre of the warehouse where most of the enemies were concentrated.
Without hesitation, I slammed down my floating arms on top of them, crushing them underneath my gauntlets.
I then looked up at the walkway where several armed terrorists were positioned, all of them also having been affected by the gravity and were in the midst of pulling themselves up.
I concentrated on the structural beams that were keeping the walkway up and pulled out the bolts that held them there using Valletta’s powers, watching in satisfaction as the entire walkway came crashing down on top of another group of them.
Someone tried to shoot some crystal shards at me which I managed to dodge by leaning to the side, letting the projectile sail past my face.
I turned to look in the direction of where it was shot out from and found some guy encased in crystals on most of his body, making it look like he has a severe case of having crystal tumours or something.
He tried to shoot the crystals at me again but I made use of the Geomancy ability I gained from the Commander Class Anomaly and tore up a chunk of earth from the ground to let it float in front of me.
The crystals embedded themselves in the slab of earth before I used the entire thing as a projectile to send it flying back towards the guy.
The crystals that were embedded in the slab smashed into him and shattered each other before the slab of earth crushed him against the wall with a loud splat, leaving only blood stains and crystal shards that were scattered around the ground.
More of them fired projectiles at me, which was a mix of bullets and elemental projectiles which I had to block with another slab of earth that I pulled out from the ground.
Similar to what I did, I sent the slab of earth flying forward, smashing through the ranks of the terrorists that were unable to get away in time while forcing the rest to dive for cover.
They looked up, expecting to see me standing at where I was from when they started shooting, only to see that I had charged after the slab and was now leaping towards them.
I sent both of my floating arms crashing down on top of two groups of them while I slammed down my foot on another guy’s face, smashing him into the ground and crushing his skull.
I then saw a blur at the edge of my vision and a guy suddenly teleported in front of me, his hand thrusting towards me with a dagger held in it.
My body reacted instinctively and I grabbed his wrist, stopping the blade just short of stabbing into my neck which, I believe, would have broken the blade anyway thanks to my hardened skin.
My attacker’s eyes widened, clearly not expecting to get caught at all.
That was all he managed to do before I slammed my head forward, smashing my head against his nose and breaking it.
He stumbled back, his grip on the blade loosening and allowing me to snatch it out of the air to stab it into the side of his neck instead before pulling out to burying the blade into his abdomen.
He let out a choked gasp as he stumbled back before falling to the ground, his blood pouring out of the side of his neck like a hose.
I turned back to see a guy with what appeared to be a blue aura floating around him step out to face me, his brows furrowed and his fists clenched.
"How did you find us?" He asked.
I shrugged, not dignifying his question with an answer.
His frown deepened before he raised his hand to shoot out some kind of blue laser at me.
Not even going to try talking after that huh?
I ducked under the laser and sent a piece of earth under him shooting up to smack him under the chin.
This guy actually looked pretty important so I want to take him alive if I could.
He stumbled back a step and the rest of his goons surged forward to try and protect him, only for me to come charging into them and using my floating arms as a battering ram to send them flying away.
I grabbed onto the guy with the blue aura before he could fully recover and delivered a strike to the back of his head.
He stiffened and his eyes rolled to the back of his head before his body went limp in my grasp.
The others seemed to panic upon seeing that, cementing my assumption that this guy was important as they tried to jump at me.
I didn’t really need them alive anyway so I just went ahead to shoot out lightning from all of my arms and killed them all.
Hmph... If I weren’t afraid of dealing too much damage... I could have just levelled the entire warehouse if I wanted to.
