Chapter 221: How To Get Out Of A Boring Summit
The second day of the summit began and I’m happy to say that there was less awkwardness as compared to before.
Well... Awkwardness between Siti, Diana, Olivia, Ava and myself that is.
I was once again seated on the stage while the dignitaries were debating and discussing geo politics in front of the three of us.
Siti and Diana weren’t even bothering to hide it now since they not only dragged their chairs over to me, they were quite literally just seated however they wanted.
Diana brought up another chair and was seated with her back leaning against me while her feet were propped up on the other chair, using me as her backrest while tapping on her phone and not paying attention to the summit at all.
Siti was at least still seated properly but her arm was wrapped around mine and she was leaning her head on my shoulder while tapping away on her phone as well.
I think anyone who isn’t an idiot seeing this happen would have figured that something definitely happened between the three of us.
And whether it was a good or bad thing was something that I couldn’t tell either but it most certainly made everyone there nervous, especially the three representatives of our countries.
I guess at this point, they don’t exactly know to what extent our relationship was and whether this was still just a friendly scene or something else.
Honestly, I don’t blame them because I don’t even know the answer to that question myself.
I don’t think we’re dating but... It doesn’t feel like they were going to be satisfied with a simple friends with benefits situation either.
It’s like a situation where we were more than friends but less than lovers kind of thing but you can’t say it out loud.
But if that bothered the two of them, they definitely did not show it.
"You two... Really don’t care huh?" I asked, my voice in a whisper.
Siti turned to look up at me, "Care about what?"
"About what others would think about our... Arrangement?"
Diana let out a low chuckle, "What are they going to do about it? No one can do anything about this. Not even other Mortal Gods. So who else is able to comment on this at all?"
"Your... Guardians?"
"Pfft, like as if they would have a problem with this. Would your Guardians have a problem with this, Qing?"
I looked at where my Guardians were standing in front of the stage to act as guards for me before turning back to her, "No..."
Diana smirked, "Exactly. No one is around who is able to decide what we can or cannot do, Qing. You’re really still trapped in that mortal understanding of the world. Here, when you are a Mortal God, you can just take whatever you want. You don’t even need to care about anything."
"Right... I’m surprised that you didn’t just snatch up a random guy that caught your fancy and just keep him as a pet or something."
Diana’s smirk turned a little devious as she looked up at me, "Would it help if I told you that was exactly what I had in mind when I approached you? I was even thinking of putting a nice collar on you and a leash too."
Siti scoffed, "Don’t listen to her. You already know, we tried hooking up with other guys too but they all just shrivel up and can’t find themselves to be interested in us in that way before you. So we kind of just lost interest along the way until you came along."
Diana rolled her eyes before grinning at me again, "Anyway, that’s not what’s important right now. Could we all go into your soul space again? That place feels nice~"
I raised an eyebrow at her from behind my mask, "Really? Or is this just an excuse for you to ghetto out of here because the summit is boring to you?"
"A bit of both actually. So are we going or not?"
I looked back at the summit where the dignitaries were mostly discussing about dealing with rifts and what the appropriate share of Mana Crystals would be for each rift.
I turned to Siti, "What about you?"
"I don’t mind either way. She’s right though, your soul space does feel nice."
Well... I guess since they asked so nicely...
"Fine... I’m not sure how to get you both in there though..."
"I’m sure once we fall asleep, we will wake up there anyway," Diana assured me.
I’m not sure if that’s how it works but... I closed my eyes and focused on myself, starting my meditation and opening my eyes again to find myself in the courtyard.
I looked around immediately to find the place had definitely expanded in size again and the house was really a manor at this point with its own courtyard behind its own walls.
There’s now a second courtyard within my soul space...
I heard a knock at the gate of my courtyard and this time, I did not hesitate to head over to the door and pull it open.
Unsurprisingly, I found Siti and Diana already there, the two Mortal Goddesses looking around the expanded space in wonder.
"Ohhh~ It really worked!" Diana chuckled, stepping through the gate without hesitation.
Siti followed after her and looked around the courtyard, focusing particularly on the giant tree, "And it seems like... This place got even bigger?"
I nodded, "It does that when I get stronger apparently."
Diana turned to give me a mischievous grin, "Mmm... So you really did get stronger with sex. How nice."
I grimaced, "I would like to think that it’s not just pure sex. It’s more about life energy or something and I guess sex has quite a bit of life energy involved in the activity which is why it became like this..."
"That’s cool though. I don’t think I know of any other Mortal Gods that can grow stronger like that. I remember when I first awakened as a Mortal God. The only things I could do was basically just control water so I always needed a source of it before I could just create it out of thin air. Took me a long while before I could even do that."
Siti also nodded, "Same for me as well. Back then I wasn’t even allowed to go into rifts because all I could do was to help crops grow better. I had no offensive or defensive capabilities at all to help out in expeditions. Not until I fully awakened."
Both of them then turned to me at the same time and it suddenly felt like they were eyeing me like I was some exotic animal on display.
"And yet here you are, Qing... Apparently you can do all of this and even stand toe to toe with another Mortal God while you still aren’t awakened," Siti pointed out.
Diana wagged her finger at me, "Careful not to let other Mortal Gods find out! Some of them might see you as a threat unlike us~"
"I’m curious though..." Siti continued, tilting her head at me. "What were you able to do when you first awakened as a Mortal God?"
I tapped on my cheek, "Well... I just found my original abilities enhanced and... Ah... I got this Jade book too."
"Jade book?"
I nodded and summoned it into my hand, realising that I haven’t actually checked on it in a while.
The two of them came over to my side and peered over my shoulders as I flipped open the book. The first record I flipped to was the wolf Anomaly that I first killed which granted me my increased strength and senses.
"What is this?" Diana asked.
"So... Apparently... I can gain the abilities of really strong Anomalies that I kill. Like the ones that guard the Gatekeepers. The floating arms are one of such abilities I gained," I explained.
"Oh... Wow, that’s kind of overpowered don’t you think?"
I shrugged, "I don’t know and..."
I flipped the pages, going to Jia Lian and Leena’s page where it showed that they had more colour in their pages now. That must have happened after I slept with them on the plane.
"I... Umm... Also gain some of my Guardians’ ability as well..."
Siti nodded, "I see... That would explain why you have so many Guardians. Hmm... Do you have to sleep with all of them to get their power?"
I shuddered, "No, no... I get it after they have pledged themselves to me as my Guardian."
Diana then gave me a serious look, "Qing... Did you also get our powers as well?"
I blinked at her, "I... Don’t know? Did I?"
Both of them looked at the book pointedly.
I sucked in a breath and willed the book to show entries for Diana and Siti, assuming they even exist.
The book flipped and... Stopped on a page that showed the two Mortal Goddesses displayed prominently on each page.
Ah...
Well... I should have expected something like that...
