The hall was soon filled with people as the participants of the summit filed in.

The sounds of chatter filled the air as they started to converse with each other while enjoying the food and drinks that were laid out in the hall.

I moved to join the crowd, moving between the delegates and exchanging some small talk with them in turn.

It was quite obvious that pretty much everyone I spoke to was nervous around me, as if I would just snap their necks for no good reason or something.

I can’t fault them, I guess... Because if I really wanted to, that was something I could do. Especially when I have two large floating arms hovering right above my shoulders.

Pretty sure any normal person would feel a little intimidated by their presence.

I made sure not to ask any questions that might be politically charged and simply exchanged small talks and gossip amongst the delegates.

But even with that, it was quite obvious that they were also trying to fish for information from me like subtly trying to steer the conversation to try and figure out what my abilities were and how they might be able to take advantage of it.

I have a feeling that some of them believe that I already knew what my powers were and who my godly persona was and just chose to hide it.

Well, too bad for them, but I really still don’t know who my real godly persona was supposed to be so there’s nothing they can get out of me.

On that note, not everyone was trying to get information out of me, of course.

Some of them seemed to just genuinely want to talk to me since it was rare for a Mortal God to be talking to people so casually in the first place.

That was something I could figure out after looking in the other two Mortal Goddess’s directions where they were just seated at the table ignoring everyone else in the hall.

They really weren’t kidding about not having any interest in this at all.

As I was considering who to approach next, the Singaporean representative came up to me.

He was a middle aged man dressed in a sharp, grey suit and he seemed quite happy to see me which, I admit, was a rather refreshing sight since I had been getting fearful gazes the entire time.

"Mortal God," He greeted me with a polite bow. "Thank you for your assistance on the first day of the summit. I fear I would not have been able to obtain a fair deal for us if you had not stepped in."

I shook my head, "You did well. I was merely just backing you up."

"Thank you for the praise, Mortal God. But... If I may be allowed to ask..."

He paused and peeked at Siti and Diana who were still at the table a distance away from us, as though making sure that they still remained where they were before turning back to me.

"How did you manage to get their cooperation too?"

I sucked in a breath, wondering how I was supposed to tell him that the reason why they were so cooperative was because I pound them senseless at night...

Thankfully, I had my mask on so he wasn’t able to see the slight panic on my face as I answered him.

"Well... I actually met them bef--"

An explosion suddenly blasted open a wall, right before the sound of gunshots filled the air.

Several people who had been unfortunate enough to be near the wall were riddled with bullets and fell to the ground in a pool of their own blood.

I immediately leapt forward and summoned my floating arms, encasing them with the arcane energy to project a field to block the bullets from reaching anyone else within the hall.

My Guardians were already running after me before two more explosions rocked through the building, opening up two more holes at the other two walls.

I was worried that more bullets would come shooting from those two walls which I wouldn’t be able to prevent until Siti and Diana each jumped in front of a wall and covered them with their respective powers.

Diana summoned a wall of water that caught all the bullets while Siti let a wall of wood appear in front of her to act as a barricade.

They reacted pretty quickly to the threat and even their own Guardians were already standing alongside them to support them.

They weren’t kidding when they said this was something they were used to dealing with.

"Mortal God!!" Leena cried out, pulling out a machinegun from her back as she galloped over to my side.

I nodded and made a gap in my shield wall, allowing her to stick the barrel of her gun through it to point it at the hole.

As if on cue, several people wearing full body armour with their faces covered stormed in with high powered rifles in their hands.

The moment they appeared, Leena pulled on the trigger, raining down a hail of machinegun fire on the intruders.

I’m guessing these guys were only expecting pistols or something as our defense at most since Leena’s high calibre rounds easily pierced through their body armour and turned them into nothing more than corpses.

Honestly, I don’t even know what their plan was here since we had three Mortal Gods and our Guardians too, so unless they had something with similar firepower, I don’t think they could even do anything much here.

My question was answered when the next group tried to step through the hole and saw Leena shooting down their comrades behind my shields, prompting them to dive for cover and let out shouts of alarm.

"Why the hell are the Mortal Gods here?! Don’t they always just leave once the summit is over?!"

"Fuck!! What do we do now?! We’re supposed to kill those delegates here! We can’t face three Mortal Gods?!"

"Damn it! We got to go with Plan B!"

Huh... So they weren’t expecting us to be here...

Fair enough... Siti and Diana had planned to just leave the hall the moment the summit was over and only thought about coming here because I wanted to be here. Seems like these guys did not account for my presence here.

Right then, Dan charged through the gap in the wall and rammed his shield against the guys that were hiding behind the wall on the right.

Olivia was close behind him as she charged into the men on the left, knocking them down like they were bowling pins.

I immediately followed after them, leaping through the open hole in the wall as the rest of my Guardians also charged in behind me.

There was another group of armed men that were hiding there, clearly not expecting us to lead a counter attack against them since they were still fumbling with their weapons when I jumped through.

To their credit, they managed to recover pretty quickly and attempted a few quick shots in my direction, only to have their bullets blocked by my floating arms.

Several shadow tendrils wrapped them up from below and sliced their guns into pieces, leaving them to fall onto the ground in wrapped up cocoons.

A magic circle then appeared above the rest before all of them suddenly crashed into the ground, leaving cracks at where they’ve fallen while the gravity around them shot up thanks to Ava’s magic.

Seeds were then thrown at where they laid to cause vines to sprout out and wrap around them, tying them up permanently.

Beyond that, there was a trio of the masked men and one of them actually pulled out a rocket launcher which he was in the midst of aiming it towards us.

The rocket propelled grenade whizzed towards us and I moved to shield my Guardians only for the projectile to suddenly stop in mid air.

I turned to see Valletta raising up her hand to stop it in its tracks.

She then waved her hand and the rocket split apart into pieces and I half expected it to explode but it just stayed floating in the air harmlessly.

Jia Lian and Kris then leapt forward, Jia Lian using her shield projection to block the bullets fired from the other two masked intruders before Kris jumped out from behind and smashed his sword in an arch from the side.

He made sure to use the flat side of his blade of course and the three masked intruders were sent flying towards the wall to smash into it, the force knocking them all unconscious.

Liliac then used her plants to grow vines to tie them all up, allowing us to capture the entire group without a single casualty from our side.

We could kill them of course, but I believed we could get some answers from them by capturing them at least.

Seriously though... Is this really a normal thing to happen around Mortal Gods?
