What Do You Mean I Have To Comprehend Dao As A Mortal God?

Chapter 223: Bringing Them Into My Soul Space

The second day of the summit passed by surprisingly uneventfully. There wasn’t even another assassination attempt and we also did not visit another rift.

Instead... When night came, I was looking at the six girls I was currently sleeping with all gathered inside my room. Specifically, Olivia, Ava, Jia Lian, Leena, Diana and Siti.

Just for the record, all of them suddenly showed up in front of my door. I did not bring them here.

Jia Lian and Leena looked like they had been dragged along by someone instead of wanting to be here as they fidgeted on the couch they were seated on. Olivia and Ava looked quite comfortable standing where they were and both Diana and Siti were just smiling at me from their seats as well.

Also, I’m very sure that Jia Lian and Leena were told about Siti and Diana before they got here since they didn’t even ask about the fact I wasn’t wearing a mask in front of Siti or Diana.

"So... What’s this about?" I asked, looking at each of them in turn. "I doubt the six of you just showed up here for a slumber party, did you?"

Diana grinned, "Oh? That actually sounds like a great idea now that you mentioned it~ Maybe we might as well make this a slumber party!"

Olivia ignored her and cleared her throat to get my attention.

"My Lord... I have heard from them that... You have a soul space that you are letting them in but not me."

Her voice didn’t sound accusatory but I definitely felt the slight hurt in her voice, like she was questioning me why I did not include her.

Ok, you have to understand, Olivia... I did not invite any of them in to begin with... And I don’t even know how to get people inside either...

As if reading my mind, Ava giggled from where she sat, "Ufufufu~ If my Divine wishes to, I can aid them in trying to enter your soul space~"

Ah, so she can do it huh. I was just in the midst of wondering how I would drag their consciousness with me into that space.

"So I take it that you girls are all here to visit my soul space?" I asked.

Olivia nodded, "We were told that it was a space where we could not only train ourselves but also have... Ahem..."

"All the sex we want and be as loud as we wanted~" Ava finished for her unashamedly.

Ah... I see... They want those apples, don’t they? Right...

I nodded, "Alright then... In that case, could I leave them to you, Ava?"

"Ufufufu~ Of course, my Divine~"

With her assurance, I sat down on the couch to position myself in between Siti and Diana, allowing them to lay their heads on my shoulders to fall asleep and join me in my soul space.

I honestly don’t know if physical touch was needed for them to come into my soul space but neither of them seemed interested in finding out whether it was or not.

I sucked in a breath and closed my eyes, focusing my senses to once again return myself to my soul space.

I appeared underneath the tree like usual and the courtyard that had been as big as a football field was now about two football fields in size.

The large mansion at the end had also grown in size and it looked like it had gained another floor, making it a five storey building.

Looking to the sides, the sea and the plantations to the left and right had also expanded in size as well.

Since the girls weren’t here yet, I took the chance to open my jade book again to look at its contents. More specifically, I turned the pages that showed Siti and Diana.

Just like all the other records in the book, they were drawn in the same eastern brush style and only a few parts of them were coloured and they both had poses that were divine looking as well.

And by divine looking, I don’t just mean in the sense that they look beautiful but the fact that the poses they were depicted in made them look like they were actual gods of old.

I guess it’s fitting for them, considering that they were both Mortal Goddesses.

Right as I closed the book, the sound of the door knocking came from the gate, which was honestly magical in nature considering how far the gate was from the tree and yet it sounded like it was right behind me.

I flew over to the door and pulled it open, finding Diana and Siti standing behind it like I had expected.

"Oh, seems like it’s even bigger now~" Diana whistled, looking around my giant courtyard with interest.

Siti was more focused on the giant tree growing in the centre of the courtyard, "The tree... No matter how many times I see it... It’s marvellous..."

I turned back to look at the tree, "Have you tried using your powers on it?"

She nodded, "I tried to do that the first time I came here... But... It felt like I was looking at something that was bigger than me..."

I stared pointedly at the huge tree that reached all the way up into the heavens before turning back to look at her with a face that screamed "Seriously?".

She chuckled, "Fufu~ I don’t just mean in size but also in terms of power as well. It was like I had an entire world’s worth of trees staring right back at me and to try and control it was to try and control the entire world. That’s something that’s definitely out of my reach."

I looked back at the tree again, wondering just what this tree that is growing here might be.

I still remember how it started out as a small sapling that was not even taller than my knee and yet it grew this big in a blink of an eye.

Yet, even now, I don’t even know what the tree was. Actually... I don’t know what anything in here was to begin with...

There was a sudden soft rumbling that shook the ground slightly, surprising Diana and Siti as they looked around, wondering what was causing the shaking.

"What... What’s happening?" Siti asked.

I chuckled, "Ahaha, don’t worry. It’s just the others showing up."

I turned to the other end of the courtyard to see four statues pop out from the ground, each of them depicting one of the four girls that were still not here yet.

I extended my senses towards them and did the same thing with Ava the last time as I granted them passage here.

The stone on the statues slowly turned into flesh and my Guardians appeared on the platforms with Ava immediately leaping off and pouncing into my arms.

"Ahhhh~ I’ve returned, my Divine~ To think I will be allowed into your soul space again~ Such a luxury~ Ufufufu~"

I patted her head while she rubbed her face against my chest, shifting my attention to the other three who were stepping into my soul space for the first time instead.

Olivia was already assessing the entire place with a critical eye and I could almost see the gears turning in her head as she was probably thinking about the security and safety of this place.

Leena was doing almost the same thing but I’m quite sure the things going through her mind was fire positions and defensive zones that could be set up around the place.

Unsurprisingly, Jia Lian had the most normal reaction where she was looking around in awe and her jaw dropped when she beheld the giant tree that was growing in front of her.

"M... Mor... Qing? What... What is this place?" Jia Lian asked.

I stretched out my arms invitingly, ignoring the elf mage that was still cuddling herself against my chest, "Welcome to my soul space. You could say this is like another dimension within my soul."

Jia Lian looked down at her own hands before hugging herself, "It feels... Warm... I... It’s like... I’m back home... With my family... I... Eh? Who... Who?"

Her gaze went to the bottom of the tree and I frowned before turning my head, wondering who she was referring to since everyone here should already be known to her.

I froze up when I saw an old woman standing there looking like the friendly neighborhood grandmas that you might see hanging around your local community centre.

Who?

"Xiao Lian ah~" The old woman waved with a bright smile on her face. "You grow up quite big already ah. You got eat enough or not? So skinny."

Jia Lian froze up and tears started to well up in her eyes.

It seems like only Jia Lian and I were able to see her because the others were looking around in confusion, clearly not spotting the old woman at all.

"A... Ah ma..." Jia Lian choked out.

Wait... That old lady is Jia Lian’s grandmother?!
