Chapter 1487: What Do You Mean I’m A Bad Guy?
I was actually worried that the seniors would do something to me after they woke up but all of them quickly stumbled away from me when they woke up like they were trying to run away from a monster.
How rude...
Well... Maybe the reason why they ran was also because of the fact that my girls were with me and they immediately turned to glare at them the moment those seniors woke up.
I’m pretty sure the amount of killing intent directed at them would have even made a veteran Mercenary soil their pants so... Them being able to run away was actually quite a feat.
After lunch was Maths class for me and... I have to say that it was one of the least enjoyable classes that I had for the day...
It was exactly what you might expect from an actual mathematics class but I at least understood that the reason why we had a class like this was because you would actually need mathematical calculations in several magic spells and alchemy.
So both of them actually kind of goes hand in hand with each other which meant that if you were completely terrible at maths, you probably would be a terrible mage as well.
Unless... You were just super talented of course. There’s always cheaty people like that around the world...
The good thing about it was that you didn’t really need to learn all the advanced maths like trigonometry or even calculus to be a good mage though from what was told to us, it would definitely help in some spells if you did know them.
Surprisingly, this class was actually quite lenient where they would not force you to drop out even if you were a failure in maths. In fact, they would just keep teaching you again and again until you pass.
The good news was that once you managed to pass the minimum level of mathematics proficiency, you don’t need to take this class anymore. It was one of the mandatory classes that would become completely elective afterwards.
I was grouped up with Odeta and Minnera for this class and they sat beside me at the back of the hall.
This was just the basic mathematics class so we pretty much already knew most of what was being taught in the first place.
Just for the record... Odeta is not bad at maths... She’s not a muscle brain.
There was one last slot for lessons after that before the end of the school day where my lesson was another meeting with Chancellor Vastraea.
I already figured that she most likely wanted to check in with me on how my first day at school went to make sure everything was fine.
I found it a little ironic that she was basically acting like a mother with what she was doing and I found it a little cute.
I teleported back to the Grand Spire and showed the guards at the front my schedule once again to be let inside, allowing me to teleport to her study room once more.
Honestly, I was expecting the Chancellor to be kneeling beside the teleportation platform again but surprisingly, she was not.
Instead, she was seated at her table and the reason why was clear as there was another person that was seated in front of her.
More specifically... It was Director Cecilia, the person in charge of student affairs and currently the only two people of the faculty who knew that I had met Isre.
I was wondering if they were both here to talk about the goddess when the Chancellor turned to me, her face looking a little stern.
"Student Aster... Is what I heard true?" The Chancellor asked, her voice shaking slightly though she managed to hide it well.
I was confused by her question since I had no idea what she was talking about.
"What do you mean? What happened?"
The Chancellor turned to Director Cecilia, prompting the woman to adjust her glasses before speaking.
"Student Aster... We have received reports that you are... Planning to take over the school..."
I blinked at her, completely surprised by what she just said.
"Taking over the school? Where did that even come from?" I asked, completely flabbergasted.
Cecilia pursed her lips, "So... It’s not true then?"
"I’m more surprised that someone would even think so... Where did this even come from?"
The Director and the Chancellor shared a look before turning back to me again.
Chancellor Vastraea steepled her fingers in front of her and I realised she was doing that action more to stop her hands from shaking by clasping them together.
"Student Aster... If you are planning to take over the school, you can just say so... There’s no need to lie here."
I was really confused by their questioning because I’m really sure that I didn’t do anything that might even cause anyone to think I was doing something like that.
"I apologise, Chancellor Vastraea... But I genuinely do not know what you are talking about. Is someone spreading rumours about me?"
There was a short pause before the Chancellor spoke again, "I had received a report that during the afternoon... You singlehandedly beat up a few members of the student affairs committee without mercy..."
I blinked again, giving her a look that said I had absolutely no idea what she was talking about.
She sucked in a breath, "Did you not beat up some students during lunch time in the cafeteria, student Aster?"
Memories of me beating up the bullies flashed through my mind and I let out a gasp, "Wait... The girl with the twin drill hairstyle?!"
Chancellor Vastraea let out a sigh, "So you didn’t know... They are members of the student affairs committee... Basically student representatives that speak on behalf of the students... And you beat them all up in front of everyone during lunch time..."
Director Cecilia also added, "I have also heard some rumours that you beat up a few senior students even before the start of the school... And you also coerced Princess Tiara to accompany you like a servant... Not only that... They said you are carrying an egg that you stole from a dragon and that you plan to lead the dragon here to destroy the Academy..."
What the heck?! Who the hell is spreading all these rumours?! I want to see whoever it is and give them a slap across their face right now!!
What kind of ridiculous things are you even spreading!! These are all baseless!!
Ok... Except for the beating up of the senior students, that one is true but... Whoever said that left out the reason why they were even beaten up in the first place!
I turned to the Chancellor, "Chancellor Vastraea! You should already know about my dragon egg, right? I’m not planning to do that at all!"
She stared at me for a moment before asking, "Did you beat up a few senior students before school started?"
I hesitated for a moment, "Yes... But hey! They asked for it! They attacked me first!"
"Do you have the princess of Lehcarouc Kingdom serving you cookies at a cafe?"
"Eh?! Was that why they thought I made her my servant?! That’s not it!! We’re friends!!"
"Did you also beat up three of your fellow classmates before you even entered your swordsmanship class to make an example out of them?"
"They attacked me first!!"
"You also made your... Followers get food for you and feed you?"
"My follow-- They’re my lovers! And I was looking after the seat for them so they went to get food for me! And they are the ones who want to feed me!"
Cecilia then reached into the air where a piece of paper slid into her grasp, "I also have reports that you traumatised a couple of first year students in the Dungeons?"
"Ha?!! Traumatised?! They asked me for help in clearing the Dungeon!! What did I do to even traumatise them?! By beating the bosses?! Those ungrateful brats!"
"That’s also adding on to the fact that you also traumatised quite a number of students during the entrance test for the school as well..."
"I was also defending myself for that one!! Why are they complaining when they were the ones who came to attack me first?!"
Director Cecilia and Chancellor Vastraea both shared a look with each other once again which made them relax before turning back to me.
The Chancellor let out a deep sigh, "Student Aster... I’m afraid that I have some bad news for you..."
"What? What can be even worse than this? I’m just finding out that I’m being framed!"
She shook her head, "You are misunderstanding me, student Aster... You are not being punished for any of this. After all... What you did is in line with our own school policies where merits are what we care most about."
"Then... What is this about?" I asked, tilting my head at her.
"I’m afraid... Your fellow peers might all have come to the conclusion that you are quite a dangerous person..."
...
...
Are you telling me that they all think I’m a villainess?
