"You’re in my seat, bitch."

I couldn’t help but sigh when I heard those words and I saw the students that were seated in the tables in front of me quickly avert their gaze from whoever was standing behind me.

Yeah... Their reaction basically told me what I should expect from the person behind me...

I sighed and turned around, coming face to face with a group of senior students who had the unmistakable aura of being the pompous, self important snobs you might expect to find in schools that go around bullying other people.

It was even a mix of girls and boys too, though the person who called me out was a girl with blonde hair styled in a very stereotypical twin drill fashion.

I tilted my head at her and gave her my sweetest smile I could, "Hello~ Can I help you?"

She scowled at me, "You are in my seat. This table is ours."

I pretended to be surprised and looked back at the table, "Is it really yours? I don’t see a name on it though."

She narrowed her eyes at me, "You’re new so you don’t know how things work here... But this table is reserved for our use. I’m going to be generous and let you off with a warning this time so get lost."

I took the chance to look around, checking to see if there were any other tables that were open for me to use that could fit my entire group.

If there were, I wouldn’t mind just moving to that table to avoid a confrontation here but...

Unfortunately, it does not seem like there were any around .

I turned back to smile at the girl, "I apologise, but I do need this table for my group and I believe this hall operates on a free seating policy, right? So I claimed this place first."

There were a few gasps coming from the people around me and I guess no one really stood up to these people before.

The girl with the twin drills scowled at me, "Did you not understand what I said about the fact that this table is reserved for us? I’m already being generous by letting you walk away, do you even understand that?"

I tilted my head, "Hmm? Then I guess I have to reject that generosity of yours because I don’t see any need for me to accept it just because you’re offering it to me."

The girl took a step back as though I had just slapped her physically, her eyes wide with shock.

"You... You... You really..." She gasped before turning her gaze to one of the boys at the side and giving him a nod.

The guy cracked his neck and knuckles which told me all I needed on what he was planning to do.

I then heard him chant the spell that would enhance his body with [Body Current] before he pulled back his fist.

Really going to just resort to punching me, huh? Well then... Don’t blame me for this.

I turned to face them right as the fist landed on my cheek after I strengthened myself with several layers of [Strength].

The punch caused a shockwave to explode out with me in the epicentre, causing a gale to blow through the cafeteria and forcing the people around me to shield themselves.

To that guy’s credit, he was actually pretty strong as my face ended up turning slightly despite the buffs I placed on myself.

However, whatever damage he might have done was already undone as my [Heal] magic took effect on me, all of them cast without me uttering a word and using the shockwave to mask it.

When the gale cleared, what people saw was the guy’s fist pressed firmly against my cheek and me barely even moving in reaction to the hit, my gaze staring right back at him.

The guy blinked before a single word escaped from his lips, "Im... Impossible..."

I stored my egg away and stood up, finding that I was actually taller than the guy by a little bit which meant he had to tilt his head up to look at me.

He opened his mouth again to say something but I didn’t give him the chance as I punched him in the gut after buffing myself with a few layers of [Strength], sending the guy skidding back several feet where he finally stopped before throwing up and collapsing onto the ground.

The rest of the group saw their friend collapse and turned to me, their gazes showing that they were not ready to surrender yet as they spread their arms and started to chant their spells.

Even the girl with the twin drills had both her palms raised as a chant spilled out from her lips.

One of them moved towards me, her hand reaching out into the air to pull out a sword which she was already swinging towards me.

No doubt, this girl was meant to try and keep me occupied to buy time for her friends to complete their chants, especially since they were right within punching range right now.

Unfortunately for her... She miscalculated one thing...

I raised my hand while stepping past her guard, my movements faster than what she expected as I had clad my feet with [Shadow Glide] while she was focused on my face.

I did a palm strike on her abdomen and turned her into a projectile which I launched towards the group, the swordswoman ending up crashing against the girl with twin drills and bowling them over alongside a few of the other guys behind them.

There were two of them who managed to get out of the way without getting bowled over so they managed to complete their chants and shoot their spells towards me.

One of them tried to use a more advanced version of [Static Bolt] on me which flew faster than the mentioned spell and the other shot out chains made of light which were obviously meant to restrain me.

I raised my hand and summoned a wall of light in front of me, letting both spells crash against the wall and fizzle out of existence.

Both of them were obviously surprised by the sudden appearance of the wall but I did not give them time to recover as I had appeared in front of them and gave both of them a punch in the gut, knocking the wind out of them and watching them fall to the ground while clutching their abdomens.

I then turned around and raised my palm, shooting out a [Fire Blast] to counter one of the other students trying to shoot a jet of water at me, filling the area with heated steam.

Using the steam as cover, I dashed into it and struck each of the recovering students with a quick cast of [Static Shock] each, paralysing them and causing them to fall onto the ground in a heap.

I then returned back to my seat and took out my egg again, pretending like nothing even happened.

When the smoke cleared, all everyone saw was me seated back where I was with all of my opponents laid out on the ground, all of them utterly and completely defeated.

Mmm... If only I had a cup of tea with me right now... I could even just be casually sipping on the tea to make it look better...

Oh well, I’ll just have to settle for me hugging my egg with my back turned to those guys. That is still better than nothing~

Predictably, gasps of surprise rang out around me when they saw the scene in front of them.

After all... They just saw a first year student beat up a bunch of seniors who had been trying to bully her. And if I’m not wrong, these guys must be one of the more prominent bullies around here and they finally met their match with me.

Hmm~ Hmm~ No need to thank me~

As if on cue, my girls showed up in a group, all of them stopping at the edge to look at the sprawled out seniors on the ground behind me.

"Aster? What happened here?" Lisa asked, gesturing at the seniors.

I waved at her, "Oh, don’t worry about them. Just some people who didn’t know their place that I dealt with. Are you girls hungry? We should eat."

Katsuki immediately bowed her head, "I shall go secure food for you, Mistress, please wait here."

The rest of them also went ahead to get their own food, leaving me alone to watch over the seats.

I was still trying to play off my defeat off the bullies to look as casual as possible when the voices of the students around me started to drift over.

"She... Beat them..."

"I knew it... She’s definitely not someone good..."

"Why would she... She’s crazy..."

"All of them are crazy, I’m telling you..."

"Even the seniors aren’t safe huh..."

"Shhhh... Don’t even look at her..."

...

Why are they speaking like I did something bad?
