Chapter 1239: Then Let Me Take You
Zhou Chengchen didn’t think much of it at first, but after An Rui’s comment, she kept a bit of it in mind.
The five of them didn’t disperse until after nine, which wasn’t very late, but since today was the end of the college entrance exam, apart from gathering with friends, time with family was also important.
Zhou Chengchen didn’t leave with Zhou Qi, but instead walked along the street with Xi Siyan for a bit.
"Is there something going on with you?"
Zhou Chengchen asked what An Rui had already asked earlier.
Xi Siyan glanced at her, and Zhou Chengchen pouted: "Otherwise, why didn’t you drink?"
"Do you really want me to drink?"
Zhou Chengchen was momentarily speechless; not really, it just seemed a bit odd.
Xi Siyan smiled and rubbed her hair: "I’m fine, let’s go, I’ll take you to catch a bus."
She stared at Xi Siyan for a few seconds, really couldn’t see him as someone with problems, so Zhou Chengchen was relieved, didn’t ask more, and grabbed Xi Siyan’s sleeve: "I don’t want to go back yet, let’s go have milk tea, I didn’t get any earlier."
Xi Siyan looked at her hand holding his sleeve, smiled again, and clasped her hand in his palm: "Let’s go."
They entered the milk tea shop just as they were closing, bought a cup to hold, and Zhou Chengchen felt very satisfied, finally speaking about her exam: "I think I did pretty well, getting into Q University is probably not an issue, so Xi, are you ready? We’ll continue to be classmates."
"Hmm, I’ll be watching."
"Tomorrow, the first-year class is having a get-together, are you going?"
"Are you going?"
Zhou Chengchen bit the straw and shook her head. Xi Siyan was a bit surprised; Zhou Chengchen liked lively events, so why wouldn’t she go to this gathering?
"There’s something at home tomorrow, the timing clashes, I probably can’t make it, what about you?"
"In that case, I won’t go either."
Zhou Chengchen smiled: "You don’t have to, if I’m not going, you can still go, right? What, you don’t want to go without me?"
Zhou Chengchen was just joking, but heard Xi Siyan lightly say: "Yes."
"Why?"
"Not familiar!"
Zhou Chengchen: "..."
Come on, you stayed in that class for more than a semester, and saying "not familiar"... how do you expect those classmates to feel?
"I’m only familiar with you."
Xi Siyan added, and Zhou Chengchen was momentarily taken aback. From a certain perspective, this was indeed true, but Zhou Chengchen still felt slightly pleased.
They walked a bit further and it was getting late. Xi Siyan and Zhou Chengchen stood by the roadside trying to hail a cab, but no vacant ones came by.
Zhou Chengchen didn’t mind much and was still daydreaming about future college life.
"What do you think it’ll be like when we go to university? You’re definitely going to study mathematics, right? I won’t be doing math, and then surely our courses will be different. Will you wait for me at the dorm like in the TV shows? Then we ride bikes through campus?"
Zhou Chengchen talked to herself and suddenly thought of something: "Speaking of which, Xi, do you know how to ride a bike?"
Xi Siyan, watching the traffic, replied: "No."
"Huh? Then you can’t give me a ride?"
Zhou Chengchen pouted, and just as Xi Siyan was about to say, "I can learn," she heard Zhou Chengchen exclaim as if she had thought of a solution: "Then I’ll give you a ride."
