Chapter 1332: Lu Yang’s Former Residence
In the ice-cold, desolate cosmos, a streak of light shattered the silence, faster than any spaceship, warping space in its wake. It was Lu Yang’s wupeng boat. The way back home wasn’t boring, as the Everlasting Immortal Fairy was keeping him company.
The closer they got to the Blue Planet, the more nervous and uneasy Lu Yang became. This was partly why he had gone to the Zhutian Civilization to deal with Gu Yu and then to the spirit stone planet to recover his diary. Otherwise, he could have visited the Blue Planet first and dealt with those loose ends afterward.
“Is that your hometown?” The Everlasting Immortal Fairy’s voice pulled Lu Yang back from his thoughts.
An azure planet turned slowly in the cosmos, like a dazzling gem in the vast starry sea, dreamlike and ethereal.
Lu Yang hastily halted the wupeng boat. He had nearly flown past Earth.
The wupeng boat exited its light-speed and spatial jump states, as if it had materialized out of thin air. A satellite happened to capture this very moment, and the space agency’s veteran experts and professors almost popped their eyes out.
“Good heavens, what did I just see?”
“An ancient man sailing a small boat through the cosmos?”
The space agency erupted in chaos. Only then did Lu Yang notice the nearby satellite. Realizing his recklessness, he stowed the boat away and dove into Earth’s atmosphere alone.

“Switch the feed. Track that humanoid’s movements!” a veteran expert shouted urgently, startling his apprentice, who had never heard his master shout so loudly.
But they soon lost track of Lu Yang, much to their frustration.
Lu Yang traversed the clouds, descending faster and faster like a meteor streaking across the sky, then slowed to land atop an airplane. He sat cross-legged on the plane’s fuselage, gazing down at the beautiful landscape of mountains and rivers below, his mind filled with myriad thoughts.
After hitching a ride on the plane, Lu Yang jumped off before it touched down, landing in a bustling city. He cast a small spell, changing his ancient attire into clothing in the style of the Blue Planet.
Seeing the crowds on the familiar streets and the familiar skyscrapers, Lu Yang was momentarily dazed. It was as though he had returned to the Blue Planet before the zombie crisis.
After the zombie crisis, barely one in a hundred survived. Through decades of effort, the Blue Planet was finally restored to its former state.
Only a handful of people in the Zhutian Civilization were aware of the Blue Planet’s existence. The Blue Planet was far away, with nothing of value to conquer. In addition, due to Gu Yu’s fear of the Blue Planet, she had sealed most of its records before retiring. As a result, the Zhutian Civilization never sent anyone to the Blue Planet again after the zombie crisis.
Lu Yang ambled along the streets, somewhat distracted. Before coming to the Blue Planet, he had felt there were many people to see and things to do here. But now that he was actually here, he suddenly found himself unsure of what to do first.
He had chosen this city at random. Based on his memories, this place had been the safe zone he established, sheltering countless survivors. As time passed, the familiar wasteland structures were no more. His parents had passed away before the zombie crisis even began. Here, he felt like an outsider who didn’t belong.
Going by his hazy memories, he stopped before his former home and softly read the name of the new building. “Apocalypse History Museum?”
No one can see me anyway. Out of curiosity, the Everlasting Immortal Fairy darted out. “Xiao Yangzi, this is your home?”
Lu Yang nodded with a peculiar expression. “It should be.”
He slipped past the ticket office and entered the museum.
It was a weekday, yet the museum was still quite crowded. Grandparents held their grandchildren’s hands, sharing with them stories of those tough and perilous times.
An old man and his grandson stopped in front of a large sign. “See this Peace Hospital? The zombie virus that plunged the world into chaos came from this very hospital.”
Peace Hospital had long since been demolished, with only a sign and some rubble remaining at its entrance as a warning to future generations.
“Those were truly dangerous times. It was all thanks to General Lu that your grandpa survived.” The old man sighed deeply. When I was destitute and starving, the safe zone took me in, and that’s how I’ve lived to this day.
During the apocalypse, Lu Yang had assembled a zombie army, and people took to calling him General Lu.
Every time he recalled those days, he wished he could thank Lu Yang in person for saving his life. Unfortunately, that’s impossible now. General Lu had fought for the Blue Planet and died on an alien planet, without a trace of his remains.
Lu Yang stared at the old man for a moment, then shook his head gently. He couldn’t remember who he was. The safe zone had saved too many people.
A teacher led a group of elementary school students through the museum, recounting the history Lu Yang knew all too well.
Lu Yang found his home, which was now a famous attraction. The furniture arrangement and books were as they had been, though none were originals.
A commotion stirred nearby. An important figure seemed to have arrived, and the area was being cleared. In front of his home, Lu Yang simply stood with his hands behind his back while bodyguards walked back and forth behind him as though they couldn’t see him.

A deeply wrinkled old woman was hunched over as she hobbled along with a cane, trembling with every step. She refused to let anyone help her, leaving her entourage on tenterhooks, terrified that she’d fall. How would they answer to their superiors then?
This puissant personage had an astonishing background. There was no one on the Blue Planet with a life more legendary than hers.
In her youth, she was a doctor who ventured deep into contaminated areas to investigate the source of the zombie virus. Later, she was rescued by General Lu. Although she failed to uncover the source of the outbreak, she established the safe zone alongside him and eventually took full command of it. General Lu had even entrusted her with the entire zombie army.
During the battle for the Blue Planet, she repeatedly rendered outstanding service. After General Lu led several Zombie Kings on an expedition to an alien planet, the zombies left on the Blue Planet ran amok. She organized the military, suppressed the zombies, unified the seven safe zones, and led everyone in rebuilding after the disaster.
At the height of her power, she resolutely stepped down from the forefront, ceding her position to others.
The safe zone wasn’t her hometown, yet after retiring, she chose to remain there instead of returning home, visiting the museum from time to time.
Her retinue’s hearts ached as they watched her faltering steps. Her condition was worsening by the day. This could be her last visit to the museum.
The old woman tottered toward Lu Yang’s former residence.
The retinue spotted a young man standing before the residence and frowned, inwardly cursing the bodyguards for being negligent. If anything happened to this big shot, the entire world would drown us in their spit.
The old woman saw the young man’s back, her gaze murky. She was too old and gravely ill, her mind no longer clear. In her daze, she mistook the young man for the person she had longed to see. She involuntarily called out, “Lu Yang, is that you?”
The young man turned. It was a face she didn't recognize.
The old woman shook her head with a wry smile. I’m old, truly old. The Blue Planet’s Planetary Will had said that Lu Yang had self-detonated. How could he be here?
The young man saw the old woman and broke into a smile. “Doctor, long time no see.”
