Chapter 1053 - 1026: The Strongest Card Deck in History
Sin World!
Yugen slightly frowned. As expected.
From the first glance at this guy, Yugen had some guess about his identity. However, since the other party was wearing a mask and dressed differently from the original work, there was a little uncertainty at first sight.
But all doubts vanished upon seeing this card.
No mistake. This guy is Paradox.
This guy is uniquely strong among all the bosses in the history of Yu-Gi-Oh!, absolutely a legendary boss that can go down in history. It’s not that his card deck or dueling skills are exceptionally superior compared to other bosses, but his courage to challenge the odds is truly admirable.
Because he is the only boss in history to simultaneously challenge the three generations of Duel Kings: Game, Judai, and Yusei.
And this person is not naive either. Paradox is set to come from a distant future, a ruined future where the world was destroyed because duelists lost their passion for dueling.
He believes that Duel Monsters are the main culprits of world destruction, the root cause of the world’s demise. He thinks that if Duel Monsters had never existed, the future would certainly change, preventing the world’s destruction, and thus he decided to travel back in time to directly erase Beckas, the Father of Duel Monsters, to stop history from evolving into a future dominated by card games.
He believes that if Beckas never discovered the slabs, if modern times never had this card-playing thing, the future would definitely not be destroyed.
So, what makes him bravest is that he understands the history of Duel Monsters and knows the key nodes and key figures in the development of Duel Monsters. In other words, he recognizes Game, Judai, and Yusei, knows their lives, and knows the remarkable deeds they accomplished.
Yet, despite knowing, he still charged ahead fearlessly. And it was a one-on-three challenge, taking on the three greatest cheaters in dueling history with just one person.
Although later players said there were quite a few flaws in that duel, such as all three Duel Kings giving up easily, with the Pharaoh not summoning any Phantom Gods and relying entirely on a blank Black Mage, Judai not using Super Fusion despite the movie title bearing those words, and Yusei not even activating the Red Dragon Card Printer...
But even so, having the courage to face these three people is enough for Paradox to be called the bravest antagonist in history, without comparison.
"My card deck can only exert its full power on the field of Sin," Paradox sneered, "Now the field is dominated by the world of Sin."
This domain gathers the ultimate power that transcends time and dimensions; now you will deeply understand this!"
A card automatically popped out from Paradox’s deck. He drew that card, held it between his fingers, and displayed it. At this moment, a sharp dragon roar resonated from the Sin Realm, like a furious lamentation, impacting the space itself.
And behind him appeared that legendary dragon, seemingly formed from countless divine radiances.
Blue-Eyes White Dragon!
"I send ’Blue-Eyes White Dragon’ from my deck to the graveyard, allowing this card in my hand to be special summoned directly to the field without tribute—
——Sin: Blue-Eyes White Dragon, summon!!!"
In the next moment, the white dragon’s phantom turned into reality. Countless white light points gathered and transformed into the appearance of Blue-Eyes White Dragon, only its body color was a bit dimmer than the original, with large black areas on its pure white bony wings, as if tainted.
[Sin: Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Attack Power: 3000]
Paradox said smugly, "How is it? Even the legendary Blue-Eyes White Dragon, which only exists in your world in the hands of Seto Kaiba, cannot resist being used by my Power of Sin.
My Sin Card Deck is a collection of ultimate powers that transcend time and dimensions, and no matter how rare and powerful the elves are in your world, they must submit to me!"
Yugen was not surprised. He already knew that Paradox possessed the Blue-Eyes White Dragon and many other famous big monsters. This person wanders through various times and spaces, making it not impossible for him to obtain unique cards in this world for a time traveler.
However, his mind shifted, and he asked, "So, did you release those Evil Gods?"
Previously, the Three Evil Gods mentioned that it was some visitor from another world who loosened their seal and assisted them. Actually, according to the original story, Paradox should not be considered an otherworldly visitor but rather someone from the future timeline of the same dimension.
Furthermore, Paradox should have duelled in the DM timeline, when the Pharaoh hadn’t left yet, and faced the three-time-traveling Duel Kings, so he shouldn’t appear in the current timeline.
"Evil Gods?" Paradox snorted, "I don’t understand what you’re saying.
My summons haven’t finished yet!
I now send this card from the extra deck to the graveyard..."
He revealed another card, shouting loudly.
"Electronic Ultimate Dragon!"
The sound of metallic parts grinding, electric currents crackling in the air. Huge metal parts pieced and assembled, transforming into the phantom of a three-headed giant dragon, roaring in the void of Sin.
"By sending ’Electronic Ultimate Dragon’ from the extra deck to the graveyard, I can directly special summon this card from my hand."
Paradox said.
"Come forth, Sin: Electronic Ultimate Dragon!"
As the card was placed on the Duel Disc, the shadow of the Termination Dragon also became corporeal. Countless dark electric currents burst out, and the three-headed Steel Giant Dragon descended like a fortress.
[Sin: Electronic Ultimate Dragon, Attack Power: 4000]
"This is my Sin Card Deck, bringing together the most powerful elves from various eras!" Paradox shouted, "And I can easily summon these strongest monsters in history, representing the true ultimate card deck!"
Yugen believed he truly thought so, firmly believing that his Sin Card Deck was the strongest deck in the world, transcending eras. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be brave enough to challenge the three generations of Duel Kings.
In fact, the Sin Card Deck in the animation is indeed much stronger than the physical cards. For instance, in the real cards, only one Sin Monster can exist on the field at a time, more would cause a self-destruction. But this doesn’t happen in the animation, as Old Paradox can summon both Sin: Blue-Eyes and Sin: Termination at the same time.
Moreover, the real card’s Sin Monsters generally require the original monsters to be banished from the game directly from the deck, whereas in the animation, they just need to be sent to the graveyard. Just like what Paradox did, sending the Termination Dragon and Blue-Eyes White Dragon from the deck to the grave allows for direct summoning of the Sin versions.
Additionally, the real cards of Sin Monsters only have attack power, lacking the original Monster Effects, but in the animation, even the effects are copied. For example, the animation’s Sin: Electronic Ultimate Dragon retains piercing abilities, which the real card removed.
"Feel the power of the strongest deck in history!"
Paradox shouted loudly.
"Sin: Electronic Ultimate Dragon, attack that face-down defense monster!"
