Chapter 1013 - 780: Boss Wang’s Boldness, Victory in Hand (Part 2)
Chonghui furrowed his eyebrows.
The state of Boss Wang in front of him was very different from what Nan Zhubin had recounted that day.
Chonghui naturally trusted Nan Zhubin’s judgment; Boss Wang must have been cornered before.
Something must have happened to prompt such a change in Boss Wang.
Chonghui quickly recalled all the changes in Boss Wang since entering the meeting room and the possible schemes Boss Wang might harbor as analyzed by the EAP Project Team, while his body began to tense up.
Mo Kai simply looked at Nan Zhubin.
And Nan Zhubin—
"Are you in a hurry, President Wang?"
Nan Zhubin said calmly.
Faced with accusations, he had no intention of defending himself, instead, it seemed like the prelude to an attack.
Boss Wang’s breath hitched, and the familiar sensation of losing control surged up again.
But soon, he clenched the documents in his hand, adjusted his mindset in a second, and a smile gradually spread across his face.
"Do you think you’re very impressive? Do you think you’ve won? Do you think what you said at the conference could help the employees and harm my company?"
"Let me tell you, all the outrageous things you did today—in fact, they’re all helping me!"
He stared intently at Nan Zhubin.
Nan Zhubin merely watched Boss Wang quietly, waiting for him to continue speaking.
Boss Wang leaned back into the chair in front of his desk, "Do you know who those people I invited today are? Do you find them unfamiliar?"
"Do you know why I invited those people to watch?"
Boss Wang raised his hand and pointed toward the direction of the meeting room, speaking with pride, "Those people are members of the local guidance and inspection team for stock market listing from the Securities Regulatory Commission, as well as due diligence personnel from the sponsor institutions, law firms, and accounting firms!"
...
The local guidance and inspection team from the Securities Regulatory Commission is primarily responsible for providing preliminary guidance and inspections for companies planning to list, confirming whether a company meets the requirements for listing;
The sponsor institutions are responsible for recommending companies for listing and ensuring the companies’ compliance;
The law firms and accounting firms respectively handle verifying the company’s legal compliance and financial authenticity, among other things.
Together, these groups constitute the core team of the listing due diligence process, and their opinions directly determine whether a company can successfully list.
Upon hearing this, Nan Zhubin raised an eyebrow in some surprise.
He seemed to understand what Boss Wang was thinking.
And being able to come up with such an idea and execute it—takes indeed some audacity.
Seeing an expression finally appear on Nan Zhubin’s otherwise calm face, Boss Wang was very satisfied.
He paused for a moment, then continued, "There’s one thing you mentioned that is quite right—the incident where an employee named Mo held someone hostage with a knife in the canteen blew up. Some things about the company can’t be hidden."
"In the due diligence for listing, employee relations, labor compliance, ESG social responsibility—these are red lines. If any of these have issues, my listing plans indeed would be ruined. But it doesn’t matter—"
Boss Wang lamented, "They want to investigate? No need; I’ll show them directly!"
"I specifically invited them to observe this guidance conference on-site to make them see that at Tongping Software Company, we highly value employee mental health and have built a comprehensive employee care system!"
All things considered, while everyone ridicules those villains in movies for endlessly explaining their evil plans after cornering the protagonist, inadvertently giving the protagonist a respite,
Who wouldn’t want to share their triumph after achieving a proud feat?
If the person being shared with happens to be the rival being pinned down, it becomes even more delightful.
So delightful, it’s like drinking a cold beverage on a sweltering summer day, one couldn’t help but hum softly.
"I know, I’ve known all along—you would definitely say something outrageous at the conference today, but it doesn’t matter!"
Boss Wang got up, bypassed Chonghui, and approached Nan Zhubin, patting him on the shoulder, "What you orchestrated today—the emotional guidance, the physical training, and the dissemination of rights awareness—is all a performance to me!"
"Look, the company-wide guidance can offset the negative public opinion brought by the incident with that employee named Mo; the standardized processes run by your EAP team can prove that the company has always focused on employees’ mental health; the cooperative state of the employees on the floor further evidences our company’s team stability, posing no collective risk!"
"This conference was never about psychological guidance," Boss Wang lowered his voice, "it was a performance stage set by me."
"And you, Nan Zhubin—Teacher Nan."
"Were the best actor I invited!"
Saying this, Boss Wang clicked his tongue, "Although, some disputes over labor are indeed troublesome...but it doesn’t matter, whatever the investigation teams look into must reveal some issues. And labor issues are the most common, least problematic issues."
"And having issues...is not really an issue."
Boss Wang stared intently into Nan Zhubin’s eyes, "Because everything outrageous you did today, in the eyes of the inspection team, stands as proof that I care about employees and am actively correcting mistakes, adding points to my listing application!"
...
There’s no denying it.
Boss Wang’s series of measures were indeed somewhat beyond Nan Zhubin’s expectations.
He and the EAP Project Team anticipated that Boss Wang would use this guidance conference as positive PR, but didn’t expect Boss Wang would have such audacity to invite an entire group of listing-related specialists to the scene.
Even incorporating Nan Zhubin’s unbridled disclosure of company scandals into the mix, transforming those potentially negative impacts into positive benefits.
However...
It seems these actions don’t have any deadly impact on the EAP Project Team.
Eyeing Boss Wang’s smug face, Nan Zhubin thought it over and decided to play along for the moment.
Thus, Nan Zhubin feigned a surprised expression, "So, you anticipated that I would say these things all along?"
"Anticipated? I didn’t anticipate you’d be so audacious, to elaborate so thoroughly,"
Boss Wang felt even more delighted seeing the expression on Nan Zhubin’s face, "But I prepared long ago, no matter what you say, I can guide it to my advantage."
"Let me tell you, aside from the listing inspectors, sitting in the front row today—"
Boss Wang bit out the words viciously, "are also regulators from your EAP industry!"
Once again, he pointed towards the direction of the meeting room, "Those sitting at the side are experts from Hua Country’s EAP Specialized Committee under the Mental Health Association and the EAP Work Committee under the Psychological Society!"
"Do you think they came for any reason other than to support me or to keep an eye on you?"
The Hua Country EAP Specialized Committee under the Mental Health Association and the EAP Work Committee under the Psychological Society are the highest authoritative bodies in the domestic EAP industry.
They are responsible for establishing industry standards, evaluating the qualifications of practitioners, and regulating industry behaviors.
They have the decisive say on the professional prospects of EAP practitioners.
Boss Wang observed Nan Zhubin’s face, finding nothing there.
He then looked at Chonghui and Mo Kai and finally saw the surprise he desired.
Thus, Boss Wang contentedly retreated back to his desk, picked up a document from the table, and tossed it in front of Nan Zhubin with a "snap."
"I don’t care what you’re thinking right now. I need you to do three things—"
"First, issue this report for me with the stamp of your EAP Project Team, specifying that—the company has established a comprehensive employee psychological assistance system, and the overall mental health of the employees is stable, with no extreme risks."
"I need you to prove that the incident with that employee named Mo is an isolated case, and the company has perfected risk prevention and control."
Nan Zhubin glanced down at the document on the floor, which bore the title "Compliance Implementation and Effectiveness Evaluation Report of the EAP Project."
