Chapter 115: Potential Risk
She was changed into ten new styles of princess dresses, paired with all sorts of strange and eccentric accessories.
Xi Yu frantically took photos to commemorate the occasion.
"Baby, look at me."
"Baby, baby, you look so delicious."
"Baby, your red, teary eyes are so alluring."
At first, Jian Yu put up a few token struggles, but she grew tired and simply let him do as he pleased.
Once he was gone, Jian Yu wearily burrowed into her blankets.
The morning had been chaotic. It was a bit humiliating, yes, but it wasn’t a complete waste of effort.
Perhaps she had gotten overexcited, because now her energy was completely drained.
Xi Yu didn’t know how to do it.
Ling Yanzhi, besides having to deal with the Soul Ghost Body matter, also seemed to be considerate of her feelings.
Pei Yin was sharp-tongued but soft-hearted; he seemed to know what he was doing, yet he never took the next step.
Jian Yu wanted to be Awakened, to cause a huge scene, but all she got in return was this ambiguous imprisonment.
They hadn’t even blocked her Star Brain. She could still play games, read novels, and browse forums as usual.
So, a paradise for a social introvert was a domineering CEO’s cage.
A cyan wisp of mist overflowed from her fingertips and shot straight into her heart. Jian Yu clamped the blanket between her calves, rolled over, and fell into a deep sleep.
「Outside the door.」
Xi Yu, having changed into casual clothes, silently walked to a corner.
Pei Yin glanced at him. ’He’s having another one of his episodes.’ He looked away, unfazed; it was nothing new.
He continued to look through the data on Jian Yu’s emotional fluctuations.
"It’s a little higher than before. I just don’t know what got her so excited. I’m afraid she might not even know herself."
The excitement of escaping? The terror of being caught? The shame of being forced to bathe?
It was probably a mix of everything.
But they couldn’t just replay the same drama every single day, could they?
Pei Yin was at a loss.
His attentiveness toward Jian Yu was growing by the day. He couldn’t tell if it was a fleeting infatuation or if he was simply unwilling to let go of something he’d already obtained.
The first time they met, when she took off her glasses... her small, obediently calm face and her clear, fragile eyes seemed to have been seared into his heart.
He’d thought it was some kind of bewitchment, convinced her scent was to blame, until he later realized she was completely oblivious to the fragrance on her own body.
Her pale face in the school infirmary, the bandage on her arm, Xi Yu’s obsession with her, Ling Yanzhi’s special treatment of her...
Pei Yin’s emotions grew increasingly complex, tinged with a hint of guilt.
Weren’t his repeated accusations of her being a femme fatale just an attempt to berate himself into waking up?
Xi Yu saw him spacing out. "What’s wrong?"
"Nothing." Pei Yin didn’t know what Shi Zhao had said to Jian Yu.
He was confident there was nothing wrong with his examination or his judgment.
Letting his personal desires get in the way, Pei Yin made a suggestion. "Since she reacted to what happened today, how about we take turns bathing her?"
Xi Yu gave him a cold look. "I get five days, you get one, and the last day goes to Ayan."
The corner of Pei Yin’s mouth twitched. "..."
He waved his hand. "Forget it, forget it. You should just let her bathe by herself."
Xi Yu’s expression grew even colder. "You get two days, I get three, and the remaining two go to Ayan."
Pei Yin cut him off. "Let’s not talk about this."
Xi Yu pressed his lips together, his voice turning grim. "You get three days, I get four, and we don’t tell Ayan."
Pei Yin turned and walked away. "I’m going to see which grade they’re examining now. I’ll go lend a hand."
Xi Yu’s eyes lowered, his face falling into shadow. "What about baby?"
Pei Yin didn’t turn back. "Just keep her locked up. Don’t run around if you have nothing to do. Stay with her. It’s not safe outside."
’We need to wait for Yan Qin to slip up, then we can deal with her and Xu Sheng.’ He thought, ’If Yan Qin doesn’t make a move soon, we’ll at least have to wait until the Soul Ghost Body is eliminated.’
A black and cyan cyclone of energy swirled, and he used Instant Teleportation to fly out of the skylight.
Xi Yu glanced up, then squatted down on the spot, curling up in the corner of the wall.
Venom seeped from his fingertips as he calmly fell into deep thought.
’Stimulation, emotion, Awakening, terror, shyness, escape.’
He analyzed the words one by one.
’After Teacher Hu left, before Sheng Yue arrived... under my unrestrained kisses, baby’s intoxicated expression.’
’The criminal experiment, baby’s deliberate seduction.’
’The faint heat of the tentacles, my reason being tugged at unconsciously, her eyes soaked with lust.’
’Baby loves me!’
’Baby loves me, baby is shy, baby has strong reactions. When baby likes something, she trembles with excitement, her whole body shaking violently.’
His analysis complete, Xi Yu passed through a specially configured pathway and was instantly dried off.
He stood up, dodging a robot that rushed over to clean up the venom.
Returning to the bedroom, Xi Yu stared intently at the slender, pale calf resting on top of the blanket.
He suppressed his aura.
Surging tentacles covered Jian Yu’s eyes and coiled around her limbs.
The dress she was wearing burst apart, revealing a large expanse of her fair, delicate waist and abdomen.
Xi Yu leaned against the wall, reveling in the ecstasy transmitted through his tentacles.
Jian Yu was a light sleeper, half-dreaming and easily startled awake.
She couldn’t open her eyes. She could only furrow her brow and let out a soft, weak whimper.
She opened her mouth to call for Xi Yu, but a tentacle covered it, wrapping around twice.
"Mmph, mmph."
Jian Yu’s consciousness cleared, and her earlobes turned pink with anxiety.
The sound of the wind outside abruptly stopped.
The bedroom was frighteningly silent.
From the balcony, a rustling sound could be heard.
Jian Yu remembered what Pei Yin and the others had just said about the Soul Ghost Body, and she couldn’t help but shiver.
’The tentacles feel like Yang Zhang’s,’ she thought. ’I couldn’t be mistaken.’
’But why isn’t Xi Yu talking?’
’He’s usually so keen on calling me ’baby’ and spewing all sorts of wild, passionate, vulgar things.’
’For him to be so quiet and well-behaved is actually very unsettling.’
’It’s not like him.’
The blanket was thrown off. No more wind blew in from outside; the window had seemingly been closed.
"Mmhmm?" Jian Yu’s eyelashes trembled.
She hummed through her nose, secretly conjuring a wisp of Purple Smoke at her fingertips.
"GULP, GULP."
The familiar sound of someone swallowing saliva.
Jian Yu’s cautious breathing returned to its normal rhythm.
She extinguished the Purple Smoke and, with a racing heart, struggled with her hands and feet, shaking the chain on her ankle.
A cool, viscous liquid dripped down, flowing over her delicate collarbones and porcelain-white neck.
Jian Yu tilted her head back and let out an ambiguous whimper.
The tentacle retracted slightly, revealing the faint red at the corners of her eyes.
Xi Yu observed her grimly.
Each had their own ulterior motives.
Jian Yu, her face flushed, felt his searing gaze upon her.
A tentacle slid past the small of her back.
She arched her back and hummed softly, her voice gentle and warm.
The tentacles vanished.
Xi Yu used Instant Teleportation to appear on the bed, wrapping his arms intimately around Jian Yu’s waist.
He pressed his face against Jian Yu’s and murmured, "Baby’s face is so red. I like it. I like my baby."
Jian Yu: "..."
’Isn’t he supposed to be paranoid? A pervert? A pathologically obsessed maniac?’
’Shouldn’t he be grabbing my waist and just doing it unreasonably?’
’What a disappointment.’
’I never should have had any expectations for Xi Yu.’
Jian Yu pressed her slightly swollen lips together.
Her sleepiness had been completely chased away.
Ignoring the sticky man clinging to her neck, Jian Yu opened the forum and browsed the hot topics, wanting to check on the Soul Ghost Body situation.
When she opened the forum, the very first post was about her.
She didn’t recognize the original poster.
Most of it consisted of photos of Jian Yu with Ling Yanzhi and the others.
She glanced at the comments section and realized the post had been shared in a public space for the competition.
In other words, the people seeing this post weren’t just students from Weis Lan Noble Academy.
Students from the other Planet Academies who had come to Weis Lan Noble Academy for the competition could see it too.
Jian Yu’s guard went up. She could smell a conspiracy.
