Why don't you build a village on top of the world tree

Lesson 38: Ingredient Adjustment Cheese

Richay was summoned to the office to inspect the ranm and helo bird huts to look through the breeding records and work out future measures.

When I went out to the office at the lower cloud level, a stranger was waiting for me.

"He manages coyote related products at Hedgeway."

Looks like a messenger from Hedgeway, a massive town on the north side of the world tree.

It is also a town famous for road maintenance, but the basic industry is the export of coyote hair, meat and milk. If you're managing it, even Hedgeways would be powerful enough to hit a clan of ancient ginseng.

I sit down on the couch and say hello and drink the herbal tea that Richay brewed for me. Even though autumn has seen more chilly days, these days, Richay's brewed herbal tea was also replacing what warms from the back of her body with pokapoka for the season. I can feel the shifting seasons from this place.

"It's unusual to have a messenger from a hedgeway at this time of year. Is something wrong?

Turning to the water, the messenger cuts out the story.

"Actually, I'd like to put this new product on the Tacax aerial market."

"New product?

There was something cheesy in the crate that the messenger had put out. Bite-sized cheese enough to fit in a circle made with your thumb and index finger.

The crate itself is divided into several small rooms by passing a partition plate inside. The cheese called the new product is housed in each room three times at a time, but every small room cheese looks different.

"We have several cheeses made from a new kind of mold, as well as dried minotts and herbs. Some of these are luxury goods, but I'd like to see them in a large market to keep track of demand."

The messenger will offer you some cheese while he talks about his purpose.

Try one as recommended. The sweet and sour Minott flavor spread in my mouth. It looks like it has a good acidity that neutralizes milk odor. It is a dessert-like cheese. Minotts themselves are vegetables similar to quickie strawberries, but apparently they are dried and then mixed with cheese. I can see that they contain dried pulp carved into the cheese.

It's going to be one of those party dishes if you keep on crackers or something, and there will be plenty of demand.

Richay tries it next door, nods satisfactorily, then asks the messenger.

"How long will it last?

"Long stuff is a season, short stuff arrives in the air market until the next day."

"That's tough."

Richay looks around at the cheese with his imaginary face.

There is enough product value in terms of flavor, but there is a limit to how much you can sell within two days. The number of people is still limited, not only in neighboring villages, but also in Takakus, where people gather widely from the east, west and north of the world trees.

Although dairy products themselves can be expected to be a constant source of calcium for people, this new product tends to be a preference. Hedgeway has also probably brought it to Takakus, a market-sized tourist destination with the idea of selling it as a preference.

In two days, however, it only goes out a little wider than the city of Katella or the town of Kateo. Even customers will want to eat calmly more than buy preferences, and in some cases they will make it a souvenir.

Two days is pretty short in this world where it's difficult to get from branch to branch. If souvenirs rot on the road, there won't be any customers to buy them and go home.

I want at least four days.

Richay looked at me after asking questions about how to transport and store sunless cheese.

"I don't know what to do, Amane?

"It's deadly not to be sunny. I think it would be reasonable to bring it in from Hedgeway via the city of Katella and then import only the sunshine and later take the form of accepting orders."

"I knew it would happen."

If the transportation network around Takakus had been better developed, importing foods without sunshine would have been viewed, but we are now running out of money in the Heavenly Tower Corridor maintenance business. Slow down also needs to improve the transportation network, but I can't get my hands on it for a while.

But apart from that, I see the messenger.

"I also have a business meeting from here because it's a good opportunity, okay?

"I can't make an instant decision, but if it's in the form of bringing it back to Hedgeway for consideration,"

I thank the messenger who listens to me even as I set up a line of prevention, and I begin my business conversation.

"I heard that some coyote cheese has ingredient adjustments for lamb birds. Didn't you make it out of hedgeways?

"Oh, that was fashionable for a time in Beautellarm. But I didn't make it on Hedgeway."

Originally, only Takakus succeeded in raising rum birds on the north side of the world tree. There was no way Hedgeway, a town on the north side, was going to adjust the ingredients for Ram birds.

The messenger looks at me strangely.

"Mr. Takakus is now raising ram birds on a massive scale, but how did you get the nutritional supplement on the egg shell?

"I'm crushing the shell of a megasnail and giving it to you."

Megas nails are snails that can also be lacquered raw materials. It is classified as a demonic worm and comes up the trunk of the world tree with a huge shell of a few meters on its back. One theory is said to be aimed at bark containing salt that is above the cloud-no-layer.

It seems that this shell of megasnails is made of calcium, and if crushed and given to rum birds, it becomes a nutrient that forms the shell of eggs.

But when I tried the shell of a megasnail on a hello bird, reports are coming up that it's very bad to eat.

The only hello bird with an ongoing poultry program is a large bird, and the eggs are large, and if you don't eat the shell of a megasnail, the eggs will soften. In addition, fractures tend to occur and tend to contribute to lack of exercise.

We're investigating how wild hellohollow birds are replenishing their calcium content, but we need to find a replacement for our megasnail shells here.

That's why I laid eyes on the coyote cheese. It would not lead to the elimination of the problem of obesity in hello birds because of its nutritional value, but I would like to give it a try and see how it goes.

Explaining the circumstances, the messenger seems to have expressed a strong interest.

"We have heard about the poultry plan for hellohollow birds. Because he said the bridge-builders who helped build the hydraulic elevator here were delicious. Is the plan on track?

"You're still at the trial and error stage. Commodity value is high, so if you're on track, we're thinking about a massive expansion, but it's years away, and so on."

"I see, as long as you're on track, could you also consider a massive deal?

"Of course it is. Anyway, I'd like to give you a small amount first to see how it goes, can you adjust the ingredients in hedgeway?

When asked, the messenger contemplates with his index finger tapping his temple.

"You do make it with vinegar or something, don't you? If you make it with vinegar, you should use something acidic because you have read the record that the lamb bird didn't eat it because of the smell problem. I don't think it was so hard to make even the ingredients, but it's not as sunny as it gets. It's a small import, but what exactly?

"I know there will be more in the future, but first -"

When I told him the exact quantity, he said that there would probably be no problem with transportation.

She said she would not know if she could actually make it until she examined the literature, so she would contact me again at a later date.

The messenger, who took his seat because the business meeting was over, spoke to me as if he had thought of it.

"If you mean lack of exercise, why not even give it raw bait?

"Raw bait, is it?

"Yeah, well, it's just an idea"

Raw bait. Should I give you the worm kind? I also find it a little difficult considering the hassle of preparing it.

Drop off the Hedgeway messenger that we have a business meeting in Kattera City next time, and I'll be back in the office.

Richay was on the cupboard with a box containing the cheese from the trial.

"You hadn't solved the problem of the obesity of the hello bird yet."

"He's worried about Markt, too. I've tried putting toys in them, but they don't really work."

When it comes to adult birds who already have a tendency towards obesity, they don't even look to play tools. In the case of little birds, they can be seen poking around and playing, so maybe when they're adults, they stop playing. Or should we let them get used to it from when they were little birds so that they would have a playful habit?

Now I'm just letting the little birds play for discernment and waiting for them to grow up.

"So you were making something out of Melmie."

"Melmie did?

"Yeah, I was putting something on a knitted string. He said he'd hang it from a tree in a breeding shed."

The special breeding shed has become a tree house for the purpose of seeing how it is proximate to the wild environment. Inside the breeding shed sits a host tree, even spreading branches. It seems that Melmie is going to put a toy on that branch.

"Did Markt ask you to do this?

"No, your wife asked me to. Looks like he's on paternity leave, figuring out a way to solve Mr. Markt's problems."

"Sounds like him."

Maybe someone who's been thinking about Markt for four or six hours.

Nevertheless, since we're talking about it being born as early as possible, it would be within the moment to have extra time. It's hard to take care of a baby.

"Yeah, well, they say Kekie's hanging out. This is the first time I've been allowed to see you in labor."

"Well, it's not like being present is a midwife."

"Mr. Calc said you still can't handle that far. But since I asked Marcto and his wife to make it a good experience, I'm sure Calc would expect Kekie to do the same."

That child, who caught a cold and was even in charge of the treatment center in the town of Cateo, became a fine one.

If I had my child, would Kekie act as a midwife?

I guess I'm still feeling fast.
