Wrong Flirt, Right Trouble: His Uncle Pulls Me Close

Chapter 352: Quentin Blackwood’s Roguishness Reaches a New Level

Ivy was about to get the door, but Quentin Blackwood stood up. "I’ll get it."

He walked over and opened the door to find a member of the building’s management staff.

Outsiders couldn’t enter the complex, so packages and the like were delivered directly to their door by the management staff.

"Mr. Blackwood, there’s a delivery here for Miss Sherwood. Please sign for it."

Quentin Blackwood looked at Ivy. "Something for you?"

It was rather exquisitely packaged.

Ivy paused, taken aback. ’I wasn’t expecting anything.’

Then she suddenly remembered Nina saying she was sending a gift over this afternoon. She nodded. "Yes, it’s mine."

After signing for the package, Quentin Blackwood brought it inside. "Can I open it?"

"Of course," Ivy nodded.

She also wanted to know what gift Nina had sent. Judging by the size of the box, it seemed to contain something rather large.

Quentin Blackwood picked up a nearby utility knife. Just then, Ivy received a text from Nina Scott.

"Ivy, you should’ve gotten it by now, right? No need to thank me. I’ve never used any of this stuff myself, but it’s all highly rated. The nights are long, so you two try to pace yourselves."

Reading the message, Ivy couldn’t help but feel there was something a bit naughty about it.

’What does she mean, she’s never used them herself?’

As a thought struck her, Ivy’s head snapped up, only to see Quentin Blackwood already opening the box.

"Uncle!" Ivy cried out, rushing over. "Don’t open it!"

But it was too late. Quentin had already opened it. He glanced down, and the contents came into view.

Ivy rushed over just in time to see the contents as well: sheer, silky lingerie, a small leather whip, and a pile of various toys. Her face instantly flushed hot.

Ivy: "!!!"

’Why didn’t Nina give her a heads-up before sending this stuff!’

"Well now, Miss Sherwood. I had no idea you were so... adventurous." His voice held a teasing chuckle.

"Would you believe me if I said I had no idea about this? I was on the phone with her today and mentioned I didn’t know what gift to get you to thank you. She just said she’d prepare something for me. I didn’t know it would be... this."

Ivy quickly snatched the box away. "Uncle, just pretend you never saw this. I’ll go throw it all out later!"

"Why throw it out? It’s a thoughtful gift from your friend. Shouldn’t we put it to good use?"

Quentin’s hand reached into the box and pulled out one of the toys. When Ivy got a clear look at it, her face turned a shade of crimson so deep it looked like it might bleed.

There were even some pills inside—some to prolong the experience, others to hasten it.

Quentin picked up the pills with his other hand and leaned in close to Ivy’s ear, his voice a low whisper. "What exactly do you tell your friend about me? Does she have some misunderstanding about my stamina? Or is my dear niece-in-law unsatisfied and thinks I need to take pills?"

His hot breath tickled her ear along with his words, and Ivy’s face became so red she couldn’t bear to look at him.

’What is he even saying!’

"Nina’s just messing around. I barely told her anything about us," Ivy’s voice was as faint as a mosquito’s buzz.

The box in her arms felt like a hot potato; she couldn’t hold it, but she couldn’t put it down either.

Quentin’s soft chuckle reached her ears. "It’s fine for you girls to talk about these things. But, Miss Sherwood, you must report back accurately. We can’t have her thinking I’m not up to the task and can’t keep you satisfied, now can we?"

Ivy: "!!!"

’Quentin’s shamelessness has reached a whole new level!’

’Ivy definitely did not need this. What on earth was Nina thinking, sending a gift like this!’

"Tell Nina Scott I like her gift very much."

Ivy slammed the box shut and shoved it aside. "I don’t want it! And don’t even think about using any of that on me!"

Quentin already had more than enough tricks up his sleeve; she wouldn’t be able to handle any more.

Quentin didn’t press the issue. If Ivy didn’t like it, then that was that.

"What was it you wanted to tell me before?"

Quentin remembered that when he’d gone to get the door, Ivy had been hesitating, clearly with something on her mind.

That’s when Ivy remembered. "Oh, I forgot to tell you. You know that project I finalized? I need to go abroad to sign the contract. Since I’m the boss, I have to go in person."

"For how long?" Quentin’s brow furrowed.

"I’m not sure. At least a week, I think. I just wanted to let you know."

"When do you leave?" Quentin pulled her into his arms. They had been so inseparable for so long; he was reluctant to be apart, even for just a week.

He remembered how Ethan Forrest used to be so clingy when he was dating. Back then, Quentin couldn’t understand how anyone could want to spend twenty-four hours a day with someone. Now, it seemed, he finally got it.

"In the next day or two."

Quentin knew this was for Ivy’s work, and he wouldn’t interfere.

But the thought of being apart for a week still displeased him.

"Then before you go, shouldn’t you make it up to me?"

"Make it up to you how?"

Quentin hooked a finger on the lingerie in the box. It was just a thin, sheer layer—hardly any fabric at all.

Quentin nibbled her earlobe. "Wear it for me."

...

Ivy knew it. If she put that on, Quentin would become an absolute animal.

Although they didn’t use most of the things Nina Scott had bought, Quentin had plenty of his own tricks, and every time, Ivy was completely at his mercy.

In the end, Quentin nibbled her ear and whispered, "We’ll save the rest for when you get back."

Ivy’s entire body tensed at his words, and Quentin nearly lost all control right then and there.

The next day, she was so worn out she couldn’t get out of bed. Quentin, likely because he knew Ivy would be gone for a week, didn’t go to the office either.

After a day of rest, Ivy was full of energy again. Quentin personally drove her to the airport.

Ivy waved to Quentin, then headed through the boarding gate.

Ivy was on a mission this trip. She had thoroughly researched the overseas market, which was why the other party was so fond of her team’s proposal.

Right after arriving in Elandra, Ivy went to meet someone.

He was the head of the international perfumery competition’s organizing committee and a world-renowned master perfumer.

Ivy had met him several years ago. It was after she had won first place in her very first perfumery competition that this Mr. Sam had contacted her.

Mr. Sam had never imagined that Iris was just a fifteen-year-old girl. Eight years had passed since that day.

And in all the years since, first place in the competition had, without fail, gone to her.

Sam greatly admired Ivy, so when he heard she was in Elandra, he naturally made a point to meet with her.

Ivy and Sam had arranged to have a meal. As the two of them walked into the restaurant together, Thea Sherwood spotted them from a distance.

’Isn’t that Mr. Sam?’

Thea Sherwood was in Elandra for two reasons: first, to accept her award from the perfumery competition, and second, because she knew Ivy was coming to sign a contract, and she wanted to try and steal it away.

After all, as long as Ivy hadn’t officially signed with the client, Thea still had a chance.

She had been pulling strings to contact the client for the past two days, but they hadn’t responded.

And now, here she was, seeing Ivy having dinner with Mr. Sam of all people.

’How could someone like Ivy possibly know a major figure like Mr. Sam?’
