Chapter 360: I Have No Intention of Sleeping in Separate Rooms
So Quentin Blackwood flew straight over. Although he’d been buried in work back home and hadn’t rested on the plane at all, the moment he saw Ivy Sherwood, he felt it was all worth it.
The moment Quentin Blackwood said "I missed you," Ivy Sherwood’s eyes curved into crescents, her gaze filled with deep affection.
"I missed you too, mmph..."
She had barely finished speaking when Quentin Blackwood’s fervent kiss landed on her lips.
He hooked an arm around her waist, kissing her with a reluctance to part, expressing his affection and longing for Ivy Sherwood in the most direct way possible.
Although Quentin Blackwood knew everything that had happened with Ivy Sherwood here, he still felt uneasy.
Elandra was a chaotic place, especially since Ivy Sherwood had suddenly met so many new people, even a Princess of Elandra.
The familiar kiss, the familiar scent of Quentin Blackwood—all of Ivy Sherwood’s fatigue was swept away.
After a few days apart, they had missed each other terribly. In this moment, silence spoke louder than words.
But just then, there was a knock at the door.
"Boss, are you there?"
"Boss, are you asleep?"
It was Edie.
Edie also rang the doorbell. They had come back from their outing and brought lots of good food for Ivy Sherwood.
Ivy Sherwood jumped in fright and looked toward the door, but Quentin Blackwood couldn’t be bothered.
’Why is it that every time I’m having an intimate moment with Ivy, someone has to interrupt?’
Usually, when they knocked or rang the doorbell, Ivy Sherwood would open the door. Ivy didn’t like to go out and wander around, so they would always bring back whatever tasty things they found for her.
Why was it taking so long for her to open the door this time? Could the boss be out?
Edie said to the person next to her, "I’ve got a spare key card. If the boss isn’t here, let’s just put the stuff inside for her. She can eat it when she gets back."
As she spoke, Edie took out the key card. Just as she was about to swipe it, the door swung open.
Without even seeing who it was, Edie started talking, "Boss, I thought you weren’t in! I brought you a late-night... SNACK!!"
Edie stared in astonishment at the person who had opened the door. It wasn’t the boss, but the boss’s man!
"President Blackwood!" Edie’s eyes went wide. She had no idea when Quentin Blackwood had arrived.
"We didn’t know you were here! We’ll leave now. This is for the boss." Edie handed the food in.
"Mm, thank you." Quentin Blackwood took it and then closed the door.
Edie and the others stood outside, unable to process what had happened even after the door was shut.
Just now, President Blackwood had actually said *thank you* to them. A big shot like him, saying thank you to them?
President Blackwood was just too cool!
"Did you see that? The boss’s man’s suit was a little messy. Our boss must have been grabbing him!" one of them said.
Edie said, "And I saw that his lips were a little red! That was definitely a lipstick mark!"
"That’s it, that’s it! The boss took so long to open the door because they were getting intimate. We probably interrupted them!"
"AHHHH, just thinking about it is so thrilling! What do I do, I ship them so hard! This is definitely true love!"
"President Blackwood came all this way just for our boss. He must like her so much! I hope they last forever, and I hope our boss finds true happiness!"
The gossiping employees left. Inside the room, Ivy Sherwood was hiding, not daring to come over.
She had originally planned to get the door, but Quentin Blackwood said he would.
She knew Edie and the others would jump to conclusions if they saw him, so Ivy Sherwood had immediately hidden.
"They brought you something to eat." Quentin Blackwood brought over their food along with what he’d brought. "So, Miss Sherwood, whose will you eat first?"
"Can’t I eat both?" Ivy Sherwood took them all.
She then placed them on the table and opened them.
Quentin Blackwood had brought Chinese food, while Edie and her friends had brought local snacks. They both looked delicious.
Although Ivy Sherwood didn’t feel particularly hungry, it was the thought that counted, so she planned to eat some of everything.
She handed a pair of chopsticks to Quentin Blackwood. "Want to eat together?"
Quentin Blackwood took the chopsticks and started putting food in Ivy Sherwood’s bowl. "Eat up."
"I can’t eat that much. I’m not really hungry." Ivy Sherwood looked at the small mountain piling up in her bowl, all put there by Quentin Blackwood.
"Then just eat what you can."
"Okay." Ivy Sherwood ate slowly, chewing carefully. Perhaps because the food Quentin Blackwood brought suited her palate, her dinner went down smoothly today, without any feelings of nausea.
After dinner, Ivy Sherwood didn’t want to move a muscle, so Quentin Blackwood cleaned up the leftovers.
Ivy Sherwood sat cross-legged on the sofa, watching Quentin Blackwood. "So, where are you staying tonight?"
Her hotel wasn’t particularly luxurious; she was worried Quentin Blackwood wouldn’t be used to it.
After all, when President Blackwood traveled, he stayed in presidential suites at five-star hotels or better. Her room was just a single.
"I have no intention of sleeping in separate rooms."
Ivy Sherwood’s face flushed. ’Sleeping in separate rooms? Isn’t that something married couples say?’
"But my room is a bit small."
"Small?" Quentin Blackwood walked over and hooked Ivy Sherwood’s chin. "Are you worried there won’t be enough room to... maneuver?"
"That’s not what I meant!" Ivy Sherwood quickly denied, her eyes wide and round.
’I absolutely, definitely did not mean that!’
Quentin Blackwood’s low chuckle sounded by her ear. "It’s fine. My place is bigger. We can use it when we get back home."
"I wasn’t..."
Before she could finish, Quentin Blackwood tilted her chin up and kissed her again, as if he could never get enough.
But Quentin Blackwood was only being a rogue with his words. He knew Ivy Sherwood hadn’t slept well the past two days because of the time difference, so he didn’t bully her too much.
After some amorous moments on the sofa, they showered. Quentin Blackwood managed to restrain himself from letting things get out of hand. Then he carried Ivy Sherwood back to the bed and held her as she slept in his arms.
Cradled by his familiar scent, Ivy Sherwood wrapped her arms around his waist and fell into a deep sleep in Quentin Blackwood’s embrace.
Quentin Blackwood also let go of everything else, just holding her.
She had a rare good night’s sleep. The next day, Ivy Sherwood’s spirits were much better.
Her work was done, Quentin Blackwood had come over, and Ivy Sherwood was no longer in a hurry to go back.
"You have a few days off. Are you in a hurry to go back?"
"Not in a hurry."
"Since you’re not, let’s go out and have some fun today. It’s my first time in Elandra, and I haven’t been to any of the fun places. Edie and the others are so excited, they’re out playing every day."
"You were saying you were going to head back today, that you didn’t plan to go out with them?"
"That was the original plan, but now I’m not in a rush to leave."
How could Quentin Blackwood not understand Ivy Sherwood’s intentions? She had been in a rush to go back and see him.
He took Ivy Sherwood’s hand, and they spent the day wandering around outside.
Elandra was a major tourist country with many places worth visiting. Quentin Blackwood had been to Elandra many times for work, but he had never gone out to explore. This was a first.
The two of them spent two days exploring. Originally, Ivy Sherwood thought she wouldn’t be able to attend the award ceremony for the fragrance competition, but after these two days, the timing was just right.
Mr. Sam also invited Ivy Sherwood to attend. Ivy Sherwood thought about it and agreed. ’That trophy belonged to her, and she was going to claim it in person!’
