Yomigaeri no Maou

Episode 100: A story you don't want to be heard

Ilis came as he sat in a seat for the contestants in the arena, so he waved and indicated the place.

Then Iris seemed to discover something about Lulu and ran over here happy.

Illis sits next to him and tells him what Lulu was going to hear.

"... Yumis is in the infirmary. Injuries and such are no big deal, but it still seemed like we had used too much magic, and he said we should rest for a while and try to recover. That said, it means you'll recover in a day or two."

It would mean that I did quite a bit of imposition in the fight against Illis.

Indeed, Yumis, as a modern magician, fought quite well against his ancient demonic opponents.

Even though I was learning a lot from Lulu and Illis, the fact that Illis was fighting quite seriously but had a pretty good battle demonstrates Yumis' seven-year hard work and his talent.

As much as I'd admire you if you were here.

However, the praise seems to follow, as I seem to have to be at rest tomorrow.

"Right. Well, if it doesn't matter to your body... and you got hit one last time, Iris"

That's what Lulu says and smiles.

Ilis got a slightly grumpy look at the word, but quickly put his expression back on, then sigh and shake his head.

"Yeah. A little... or I can't deny I was pretty alarmed. Because I didn't think Yumis was wearing it until he layered another piece of unchanging magic in conjunction with the activation of low-level magic and covered it up even more. I think they used at least three or more magic combinations... but I really felt like they grew up as magicians compared to when we just met."

Iris was right, Yumis' last witchcraft was quite advanced.

With little magic left, it's something I've often been able to lay my magic on that much, but that's not so unnatural.

Sure, it's true that Yumis' amount of magic doesn't extend to Illis or Lulu, but that's why he seems to have a lot of small skill, and Lulu was confirming that when he used the last of the magic, he solved the flying magic that Yumis was expanding on its back and feet to restore his magic.

I shouldn't be able to do that if I were normal, but that little feather that was on Yumis' back and feet didn't just exist for the use of manipulating the wind for flight, it seemed, it was something that served as a very small magic tank.

He seemed able to summon his own magic as water and gather the magic of his surroundings slightly, restoring more magic than he had before embodying his feathers.

I don't know if that technique was a fortuitous discovery or just a coincidence until I ask the person, but if I stick it up, it's going to be a pretty useful technique, and as a lulu I'm thinking about asking later.

The technique of collecting the surrounding magic elements and making them their own magic once existed, but it was not as useful as the technique of an individual magician because it was complicated or difficult to handle.

If it is possible to develop into Yumis' technology, it may be possible to have a very useful magic restoration technique.

Well, it's all about since Yumis happened.

On the other hand, there are possibilities that only mean a degree of rest.

But nevertheless, as Illis put it, Yumis is a grown thing.

Because I used to only have the skill to easily take control of magic by Lulu and Illis, but now I have the strength not to make that easier either.

That said, it's not enough to beat a serious Illis, it's just that I lost out of the blue, but that would still be enough.

"... If I ever fight again, I might lose?

When Lulu told Iris that in a joke mix, Iris grabbed his fist.

"Next time, you won't lose......!

I thought you were working on the martial arts competition quite calmly, but unexpectedly, it seemed to be getting hot.

Lulu then changes the story.

Lulu beat Gran and Illis beat Yumis.

The original purpose of competing in the Martial Arts Games was to ask the King to allow him to view forbidden books and such that would be in the Royal Palace, but now he has another purpose.

Obtaining a panacea for the treatment of Ortez's sister Krall's dementia.

Tickets to the Martial Arts Games are expensive and popular, so no crawls have come that could not be obtained, and Ortez seems to have received another short-term request today, and he hasn't, but I heard earlier that tomorrow, when there is a final, he can invite up to five finalists per person to the Games, so I intend to invite the Ortez family if I may.

Ortez himself is a contestant, so he can just look free, but that's not how Claire and her mother do it.

I guess the Lulu guys know someone else who wants to invite them because pretty much everyone is a tournament contestant, and it's just fine.

And in order to get the panacea (panacaia) that should be given to Krall, we need a third-place prize, and in order to ensure that, there is one more person who has to be won.

"Kyou's next opponent... who?

When Lulu tells the name, Illis mouths the information on the bulletin board that he seems to have been nodding and looking at.

"Uh... Yakou, it seemed more like Mr. Kyou's next opponent"

Naturally, Lulu didn't sound familiar with the name, either, or unfortunately.

He probably fought both in the qualifying round and in the main game, but he didn't see it at a bad time.

If you ask if Illis,

"I don't know either... I just asked the audience in front of the bulletin board what they were like and they seem to have changed a lot."

"What do you mean?

"The whole body seems to be wearing a hidden robe, worn to cover it softly to the hood, and no one has seen that face so far," he said.

Sure, that could be changing.

That said, it's not like you don't have that type of contestant to hide your face or hide your weapon.

When you go to the extreme, there's even someone wearing a mask, so you can't say that's the only thing that's weird about him.

Leaning his neck at that thought, Iris went on even further.

"Do you also say that the way you fight is odd......, I also heard you say that the way you settle is indescribable. After dozens of seconds, or minutes, after the game starts, they say the opponent falls like a dead battery. They've never actually put weapons together before..."

I see, that's changing, Lulu thought.

I don't know what the hell way it is, because it means we've delivered victories without fighting.

That also presupposes that there should have been a few of those strong guys in the opponent because they are getting this far up the main battle.

Yet it was a strange story to say that we could win that way.

"Poison or something?

When Lulu asks, Illis tilts his neck.

"What do you think...... some of you seem to say that, but if so, some of you could notice and bear it. As such, if you are gathering some information about your opponent, it will not be that difficult to take action..."

Even if it was a poison with no taste, it is not impossible to cope with it in the power industry because polarity, it is not good without touching the skin or breathing.

There will always be boundaries, keeping the wind blowing towards your opponent, doing it overwhelmingly with a ranged attack, and much more.

But I can clearly see from the fact that Jacou has won so far intact that nothing could be done in that way.

And when it does...

"Kyou...... could you possibly lose,?

"Sounds like a situation where you can't say you have nothing to worry about… I would feel like a normal adventurer could handle it, but when someone doesn't know how to handle it so far..."

I don't know, Kyou is strong.

I don't know if you're kidding me or not, but that's obvious from the fact that you can still win this far with no problems with that personality.

That's why I was tauntingly young to get panacea (panacea), but I couldn't come here and have that attitude anymore.

"Worst case scenario, it looks like me or Illis are going to have to go out of their way to lose somewhere and get third place"

Yes, Lulu said, and Iris said with a disgruntled face.

"I was going to take possession of the victory and semi-finals between me and my brother-in-law..."

Lulu laughs when he tells me you talked about that.

If I could, I could. I've never been over it, but I wouldn't lose sight of my purpose.

Worst of all, that's fine if we can achieve our goal of winning and showing off the ban and getting panacea.

If you win and semi-finals, you will certainly get attention and honor too.

But it is only an accessory, except for the Prohibition Book and the panacea (Panacaia), and don't be. That's fine.

Besides, it hasn't been decided yet that Kyou will lose.

Yes. When I told Iris, she nodded,

"Right... I really need Mr. Kyou to beat me when this happens...! Contrary to usual, I'm here for you today."

That being said, Illis took the fan out of his nostrils.

Apparently, Kyou gave it to me, and she likes it and treasures it.

With it, he went to the front of the audience and began to shout out words of support as if of Kyou.

"Kyosa! Good luck!!

It's unusual for her, but maybe she liked it surprisingly when she saw Kyou doing that.

If she looked in the direction where she turned her voice, two players were about to come in towards the center stage of the arena.

Kyou is coming out of the back, and it was the opponent Yakou who came in through this side of the gate.

I do wear a robe deeply, and I can't see its face at all.

However, from the edge contour of the robe, I found myself somewhat of a man.

The magic you feel is not so much, and now you don't look strong.

The magic of Kyou is so much more.

If Yakou didn't have any particular cover or anything, and said he really only had this degree of magic, I didn't think the extraordinaire was going to be more teethy and Kyou was going to lose.

However, Yakou still has several contestants defeated, and caution would be forbidden.

It should be the same now and in the past that the total amount of magic does not necessarily determine the winning or losing battle.

Looking at it like that, it looks like the two of us who came to the center of the stage and set up on our way started the conversation.

Illis sees it and tilts his neck.

Asking what was wrong, Illis said.

"Whatever Mr. Kyou is... Yakou has never opened his mouth so far. They say...?

"Really? If it's not a mistake, it sounds like we're talking about something. Unless Kyou is talking to himself."

From here I can only see Kyou's mouth.

All I know is that you're talking in a pretty small voice, and because you can't even hear that voice again, you're probably talking.

It's not like you can't hear it if you increase your hearing with magic......

"There's something we don't want to hear either. It could be in Mr. Kyou too... probably because that's what we're talking about... So for today, don't eavesdrop and decide to ask the person later"

Surely that would be what Iris would say.

Because Lulu and Illis were also talking while holding down the volume and sneaking up the soundproofing junction so that any story they didn't want to be heard wouldn't reach the audience in the arena.

While doing so, did you finish talking about Kyou and Yakou, and Kyou's mouth stopped.

Then, surprisingly, Yakou put his hand on his own robe and took it off.
