Yomigaeri no Maou

Episode 149: Owls and Bears

"What can I do for you... what can I do for you?

When Lulu leaned his neck and said so, Solange waved loudly in front of his face,

"A more appropriate way to hear your mouth would be fine. I don't like tones that are too polite."

I laughed when I said that.

It's not that I can't do anything about it, but it seems that Solange knows it's not so much about the board.

Lulu praised his shoulders and decided to speak in the usual tone.

"Right. Ok...... not at all. You're kind of an inedible grandmother..."

I got a slightly sarcastic tone because I was just a little frightened by the unique signs as if I was spotting everything.

But Solange goes on to talk, without any particular accusations, even saying that he knows how to behave like that.

"They say that a lot. Well, that's fine because it's a fact. By the way, there's nothing else that stopped you. You're a magician, aren't you? I rarely come to you as a friendly magician who listens to what the villagers ask. I need your help."

"Help? I don't mind..."

For once, it's only a matter of time, but even if your stay stretches for two days a day, that's all you need to talk about then if you let the double-headed dragon fly you.

Lulu and Illis may have to continue to use magic with care around them so that no damage is done around them, but it's a little tiring and not a big problem.

When Lulu answered, Solange had a full grin,

"Okay, if that's what you decide, let's go quickly."

And he stood up and headed for the door.

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

There's an opening across the bush.

There's a spacious cave, with its mouth wide open, but that's not the problem.

"... what are we gonna do hiding and peeking in here?

That's what Lulu asks Solange, the old woman next door, in the bush, she said.

"Whatever you do, you get rid of them... whoa, you can't kill them. Only, for a little while, just get rid of it. You got it?

That's what I said and pointed into the cave.

If you take a closer look at the cave, there are four demons there, guarding the neighborhood and grazing them as and when.

Speaking of demons, they're adorable when it comes to being cute, but they're just a little less cute in size.

That demon with the head of the (owl) and the flesh of the bear - Aurbea, because it has a giant approximately four meters.

That said, three of the four bodies are only about fifty centimetres, and no matter how you look at them, they are toddlers.

I don't see the demon parent or child inside, it's a fresh sight, but if you look at it from a person's perspective, you should get rid of it when it's easy to get rid of it.

It is normal for them to be disposed of immediately if found.

But they don't intend that on Solange.

Aurbea is a fairly strong species among demons, something that cannot be dealt with without a few intermediate superior adventurers.

That stems from the fact that Aurbea is a relatively intelligent demon.

I don't just go and hit like any other demon, I think about it and fight, so from people's point of view, it's no trouble.

What does Solange do with such demons? Tell them to stay away from the cave they're nesting in right now.

"Why are you such a pain in the ass... why don't you just knock him out?

When Lulu said so, Solange shook his head.

"Well, I know that well from the values of you adventurers. I'm not going to do that. That Aurbea parent and child has been flowing from the north lately... and has a mild temper for 10%. It would be more convenient if you lived because you would hunt the demons of the forest in moderation. I told Marco and the others earlier to stay away from this neighborhood... and I don't need to dare defeat them."

It came from the north, which would still be the reason for the ancient dragon (enchanted dragon) relationship.

I feel like asking a question if Rigadora is here right now, but that dragon is now stuck with the double-headed dragon in the stables.

Dragons are close to each other, or do horses happen to fit......

Well, that's good.

Anyway, he doesn't want Solange to take down that Aulbearer.

Reasons are also convincing.

It is clear in one case in the Logsuela Mountains that demons have an ecosystem of demons and that breaking one of them causes problems.

If you're saying that Aurbea is doing well with being here right now, it would be more of a natural story to think of it as someone who lives rooted here and doesn't want it to collapse.

"Well, I got the story. But why should I bother to get rid of it? You just have to let it go..."

"I told you, Lulu. Leave me alone for a little while. I need a little help in the back of that cave. I didn't explain it to Marco, and that's why I haven't been home in the last few weeks..."

Apparently there's something behind it, and Solange was telling me to get rid of Aurbea for that.

I don't know what it is, but for once, I owe them a meal.

That was very tasty, and Lulu nodded and said that he was curious if I could help him with this.

"I get it. Just get rid of it for a little while, okay?

"Oh, please. I'm not gonna hurt you, I'm not gonna kill you, is that why?

"That too, okay. Then I'll go..."

So Lulu approached the cave.

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

- Well, what do we do?

As he approached the cave with no sign, Lulu thought about how to get rid of the Aulbearers.

Regardless of whether you do not kill, do not hurt, the means at your disposal will be greatly reduced.

Such tangled hands in the first place is not something that Lulu has long been good at.

I'm better at going home to ashes from cave to cave, but it's natural that you can't do that.

So I observed Aurbea parents and children for a while in the shadow of a rock that seemed just as good for hiding near the cave.

A single parent and a thoughtful giant Aulbearer lie down and watch over the three little Aulbearers.

That's how it looked.

The parent Aulbearers don't move their bodies much, but the child Aulbearers are quite active compared to their parents, twisted and playing with each other.

Rolling over and chasing the great stone of Kobushi, climbing on each other's backs, the way it looked was no different than that of a man's children, and seemed adorable.

"Kids are adorable for any creature..."

And, while Lulu was alone, fu, after observing those Aulbearers, he came up with it.

"If this... can I?

Speaking of bumps, Lulu floated a small magic bullet (Magia Groves) in his hand and flew towards Aurbea.

And, in front of the child's Aulbearer, floats like a hoof, letting it ramble in all directions like a bug where attention has been drawn.

The parent Aulbearer was still smart, he saw it and floated a color of strong vigilance, but when one child's Aulbearer touched it, he didn't suffer any particular injuries and decided it wasn't dangerous because he was bounced off like a balloon, Po Bing.

He lay down again and returned to the position of looking at the children.

Lulu has coated that magic bullet (Maggia Grobbs) in a non-lethal way, making it still like an elastic ball in its current state.

That's why Aurbea didn't have any particular problems touching it.

Then, the magic bullet (Magia Groves) gradually leads to the outside of the cave, and the child Aurbea begins to exit the cave like three of them chase after it.

Every time a child tries to leave outside, the parent Aulbearer snaps his neck back into the cave, but when it comes to the three, he can't seem to get around inside, and moves a little further out.

Then Lulu gauged the timing, increased the velocity of the magic bullet (Magia Grobbs) and flew quickly to the distance.

At that moment, the child Aulbearer runs wildly like he was poked and chases after that magic bullet (Magia Groves).

I ran all three of them away, so my parent Aulbearer followed suit.

Four Aulbearers disappear from the cave, and Lulu accomplishes his purpose.

Looking back, Solange has already come there,

"Let's do it."

and praised Lulu.

Then I started walking towards the cave, so Lulu also tried to get there afterwards, but Solange said,

"I don't know when Aulbearer will be back, so will you keep an eye on me?

I said.

I didn't care what was behind the cave, but from Solange, I guess that's all I meant to do was "help".

If you can just scatter Aulbearer, you can do it alone.

The only reason we needed them was because we needed a lookout and someone to go inside.

As for Lulu, who understood that, it's hard to say take him inside.

It's Solange, not Lulu, who needs you inside in the first place, so you won't have a choice.

"... ok. Come back as soon as you can, okay? Just don't stand here for weeks."

That was a little joke about Solange, who apparently stayed here for a few weeks until today, but Solange laughed,

"It's okay this time. I asked you to keep Aurbea away from me until I got back."

That's why he disappeared into the back of the cave.

The back of the cave is full of darkness, and Solange is swallowed right up there, not knowing what's inside.

Lulu decided to give up and wait for Solange because he couldn't see well after staring.

"... you're free"

Over here from the martial arts tournament, I've been busy, so I couldn't afford the time to blur.

Once again, I don't know what to do when I'm given a very long, shabby time.

If you look up at the sky, it's blue, and a few birds cross it.

"I wonder what Illis is doing by now..."

Before you come out, you must be teaching those boys about adventurer running, or the innkeeper teaching you how to make stews.

Unthinkable in times of war, Lulu smiled at their peaceful lives and decided to keep an eye on them.

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆

"Sister! Sister!!

It was some time after I broke up with them that Stephanie rushed in, shaking her hair tied in two and looking panicked, under Illis, who was learning how to make stews at the inn.

"What is it? Did you find Yurk?

Yurk lost a mock battle with Illis and ran away somewhere.

Stephanie should have gone after him with another boy, Timeo.

Yet being here is normal to assume that you have been found, but as far as Stephanie is concerned, I feel it doesn't seem like a delightful report to have said so.

says Stephanie.

"No... I tried to find it with Timeo... Timeo, I lost sight of Yurk on the way. So, Yurk, nowhere in the village."

"Isn't that what you're hiding somewhere or something?

Normally, it doesn't come out of the village to say children in these villages.

Because parents and other villagers often teach and fear that even if there is a forest nearby, it is a demonic nest.

But Yurk seems to be different.

says Stephanie.

"Yurk, hide-and-seek is bad... if you're in the village, it's easy for me and Timeo to find you. But he's not here... so I think he probably went outside the village"

"Is that... did you tell an adult?

"Yeah. So, I figured you went outside the village. Some grown man went to the woods with a weapon..."

"Really... then..."

Listening to that, Illis is a little relieved.

Because I thought if a man from the village had left, he would probably find him soon.

Because I thought it would be easy to catch up if you were a kid's leg and a villager who would know the woods well.

Stephanie, though,

"Yeah. I might not find it..."

And I said anxiously.

When Illis asked, wondering why, Stephanie replied.

"He said the bridge was built. So, Yurk, maybe I went to Grandma's... beyond the bridge is dangerous"
