Zero no ambassador: my harem

Zero Demon Envoy's My Harem Chapter 63

Anrietta felt slightly more at ease, at least someone she could rely on.

"I, I-" Anrietta stood up straight and was about to announce her decision.

"Report! Report!!!"

A soldier covered in blood broke in, "Albion, Albion, the call is coming."

He squeezed a parchment tightly and fell stiffly to the side after shouting this from the palace.

The courtiers whispered noisily, talking.

"What!" Gramont leapt to his feet and took the parchment and handed it to the princess.

Anrietta unfolded the parchment and, after a hasty perusal, fell silent.

"Gentlemen, Albion has sacked the village of Taroub yesterday without declaring war. Now in this situation, how dare you say Albion doesn't want war?!!!" Anrietta angrily addressed several of the foreign ministers.

Several ministers dropped their eyes. "Albion's undeclared war is a villainous act. Please order the princess to meet it."

"Well, I command as the future Queen, Princess Anrietta, that Gramont take your army, and my three magical knights, and annihilate the enemy."

"As you command, Your Highness." Gramont looked pleased and knelt on one knee to accept the order.

Gramont turned and left the palace, and Hao Tian left with him to lead the Griffins in this battle.

Please, Hao Tian. Anrietta thought to herself as she watched Hao Tian's back.

Chapter 52 - First Experience of War

Marshal Gramont used half a day to mobilize three thousand troops, and Hao Tian three led the Griffins, Unicorns, and Chimera three magic knights for a total of thirty-seven people to accompany Gramont to the village of Tarub where Albion had invaded.

Albion's invasion was smaller in scale, just a floating warship with about fifteen hundred soldiers on it. The floating ship, which was a hundred meters above the ground and unreachable by normal attacks, had dozens of cannons firing from above and below, and it only took two hours to break through the village of Taroub and crush the local lord's army. Now it was flaunting a feast and revelry on the ship.

"Your Excellency Kolomwe, under your leadership, Albion will be invincible. Sooner or later, Torristine will be ours as well." In the ship's banquet hall, the general toasted Colomwe.

Kolomwe was so proud of himself that he stroked his two moustaches, "Where, where. It depends on the general's leadership, too."

"This invasion of Torristine, no one would have expected us, who had just finished the civil war, to strike so quickly in order to catch our opponents off guard. If Torristine had sent an army over?"

"That Torristine? You know they only have a total of 10,000 troops, and we can still mobilize about 50,000 troops on the mainland that Torristine wouldn't dare to fight. In the end, it'll just be a default result, and we'll get a territory on the main continent to build a port on, and drive a steady stream of Albion's troops in."

"At that point, Torristine will be meat on a sticky board."

"That's right, General."

"To Albion, cheers."

"No, to the Light Alliance, cheers."

"Yes, to restoring the Alliance to light." "Cheers." "Cheers."

As Albion's invading army feasted and drank merrily, a dark shadow appeared before the scout on the top of the ship.

The scout braced himself and leaned close to the binoculars to see in which direction.

Hundreds of cavalry, followed by thousands of infantry. There were also a dozen griffin riders flying in the sky.

"It's the enemy, the enemy army is coming." The scout hurriedly sounded the ship's alarm, and the sharp siren sounded through the floating warships.

"The enemy army is coming." "It's Torristine's army." "Quickly, get to your position."

"Torristine is actually coming over here?" Kolomwe looked surprised.

"Your Excellency, I am going to take command of the battle." The general put down his glass and quickly left the banquet hall.

The floating warship slowly reoriented itself to face Gramont's army and deployed its guns.

More than ten Dragon Knights took off from the ship and swept towards the army.

"Boom" "Boom" the flying dragons were fire dragons, opening their mouths at a height of ten meters above the army's head and spitting out blazing flames to burn the crowd. Dozens and hundreds of people were killed and injured at once.

"It's the fire dragon riders, where are the Griffins?!!!" Gramont shouted.

"Leave it to me, Griffon Team, and ascend with me." Hao Tian straddled the griffin assigned to him, and William and other members of the Griffin Team also mounted the griffin. After an assisted run in the open air for a while, they took off one after another towards the Fire Dragon Knights to meet them.

It was a battle of low flying knights, and the Fire Dragon Knights spotted the Griffins and turned their course to meet the Griffins. The fire dragons opened their mouths and fired flames at the Griffins.

"Don't use the wind blade, use the gale to blow the flames back." Hoshi shouted.

A flame came up against the Griffons, and the Griffons beneath them uneasily tried to dodge it.

"Dever, absorb the flames." Hoshi drew his sword and reached forward.

"Leave it to me, partner." The sword glowed, and the flames were absorbed into the sword by the attraction emitted from the tip as soon as it approached.

"Little one, go, catch up to that red lizard." Hao Tian's legs clamped down and his sword pointed at the fire dragon rider that attacked him.

"Gah!!!" The griffin underneath was in high spirits, drumming its wings to approach the fire dragon.

The Fire Dragon Knight was a middle-aged man with a grim look. As the griffin approached, he drew the sword at his waist.

"Dever, Flame Impact." Hao Tian did not compete with him in a sword fight, the sword swung, and the flames he had just absorbed were released to spew out at close range to envelop the fire dragon and his knight. A flame burned on the fire dragon's back, and it fell down with a sad cry.

Resolving one, Hao raised his altitude and observed the surroundings.

The members of the Griffins are all magicians who can cast spells, but the Fire Dragon's has more fire-breathing abilities than the Griffins. The two sides are evenly matched, with people being shot down.

Hoshi saw William confront the fire dragon head on with a large fireball, pushing the flames towards the fire dragon to settle an enemy. "William, recharge my sword." Hao Tian shouted at him.

William nodded and moved closer to Hao Tian, controlling the power to chant a weaker version of the Inferno Blast.

Hao Tian used the Dever to absorb all the powerful fire, and the sword glowed red.

"William, protect on my flank. I'll attack."

William nodded and piloted the Griffin not far behind Hao Tian.

"Onward, little one, Dev." Hao Tian's sword body pointed, finding a target and rushing out.

"Gah!!" "Oh, I'm full of power."

The griffin flew faster than the fire dragon, and every time Hao Tian approached the enemy, he engulfed the enemy with several meters square of fire from his sword. And the attacks from the enemies were intercepted by William with fireballs in the air.

For a time, the Fire Dragon Knights suffered heavy losses.

"That team of Griffin Knights, it's troublesome. Attack them with artillery."

"But, General, our Fire Dragon Knights are also down there." The gunner captain was stunned.
