Chapter 643: Justice Kick - 1

Leo, James, and Vintage simply acted like bystanders as they watched Kaelion do his thing.

"Now say, how is the Empire going to save you two?" Kaelion asked menacingly while the judge and the lawyer started to grovel at his feet.

"W-we made a mistake! Please forgive us!" the lawyer pleaded.

"Y-yes! It will never be repeated again! Please let us go just this once—ahh!"

Kaelion kicked the judge in his fat belly before he could finish his sentence, sending the man rolling away.

"How many lives did that stomach even consume to grow that much?"

He then sharply turned towards the Empire Court building, making the other lawyers and judges who were watching the scene flinch hard.

"I am sure you are not alone in this one. Wouldn’t it be best to replace this whole facility?"

"Hm?" Leo also turned towards the building when he felt a person with considerable strength rummaging through his things in one of the rooms inside the court building. The object the man was rummaging through even seemed to send communication signals.

"Is he the head that these people are talking about?" Leo muttered.

Since a judicial head position—though having power—was dangerous in many ways, a person of proper strength was required for it. Dangerous in the sense that if a judgement was passed against someone and he or she held a grudge against the head, the head could very well be assassinated if he wasn’t strong enough. This even led to wrongful decisions if the head was weak, because he could be forced to pass the wrong judgement under threat.

At that time, Leo turned towards the Skyrend Eagle convoy that was descending towards their location.

Kaelion immediately proceeded to wear his academy badge and bring out a communication talisman.

When the judge and lawyer saw the badge, their expressions made it clear that they had already accepted their fate.

Even Dama and Ramu had similar expressions as they turned towards Leo, not hoping for the worse.

Leo smiled at their faces and brought out his own badge before wearing it.

"S-si-sir... y-you should have told us earlier..." Ramu muttered, devastated.

Now he recalled the part where Lord Hubert—the concerned department head handling the region around Kendru—had said something about James being acquainted with someone from Aurelius Beast Academy.

A reason for them to not kill James outright through an assassination attempt.

But they had been confident that James would never be able to contact those people due to the high cost, and even more confident that those people would not come to help even when contacted. Because most people would simply forget a backwater place like Kendru after getting into an extremely prestigious academy like Aurelius Beast Academy.

Not to mention, those acquainted people were orphans. There was not a single thread of attachment that would have made them come for the trouble.

But Leo was already here, smiling at them like death.

Kaelion raised the talisman up to his shoulder level and concentrated. The next moment, it burned, leaving behind multiple blue astral sticks that bent and turned to form an intricate circuit that danced within a spherical confinement.

The next moment—

"My dear K!!"

It was Katherine’s voice. The reason Kaelion used a talisman instead of a phone was because the phone was only designed to work within the range of Aurelius Kingdom, which was around 30,000 kilometres wide, leaving the 10,000 kilometre range for the Academy. After that, the signals gradually weakened until nothing productive could be done.

Thus, the communication talisman. And it seemed that Katherine had provided some to Kaelion.

"Did you forget about your aunty? What took you so long to even say hello? I haven’t given you those thousands of communication talismans to eat dust alright! Do you even—"

"Auntie, I understand. But you should already be aware of my personality. I don’t talk much," Kaelion spoke in the middle of her rant to stop her.

"Tsk, tsk, give that excuse to someone else. I can clearly tell that’s such a false statement. Remember, Miho is my student, and—"

"Auntie!" Kaelion looked a bit embarrassed, briefly glancing towards Leo. Thankfully, he seemed to be distracted watching the City Lord convoy.

BOOM! BOOM! Crackle—BOOM!

"Hm? Are you fighting?" Kaelion asked after hearing the noises on the other side.

"Fufu, just a minor inconvenience. Now, will you say what reason you have contacted me? I can never expect my nephew to contact me meaninglessly."

Kaelion started to give a brief description of what was happening.

At that time, the Milti’s City Lord descended from his eagle at a distance and came towards the scene in a light jog. His face clearly said he was very stressed out—a face made by a person with multiple bad records who had just been caught.

"I-I welco—"

The City Lord shut his mouth when Kaelion gestured for him to remain quiet by putting a finger on his lips. He was still narrating things to Katherine.

Damn, now this is a power play... Leo internally thought.

Kaelion had just shut up a city lord of such a large city, who must at least be a highest-tier Viscount—on the verge of becoming a Count—and the City Lord obeyed.

The City Lord kept looking at Kaelion’s badge in dread, and when he saw Leo’s badge, his dread turned into panic.

Two Aurelius Beast Academy students, and finally, a more than 100-meter-wide avian beast circling the city as if looking for prey. It simply meant these both students were very influential in their academy.

Kaelion finished his story.

"K, you worry needlessly. You should have just destroyed the whole court and walked away after saying your name. Things would have automatically settled. Just finish whatever you are doing, and I will handle the rest. See you later!" Katherine cheerfully said and ended the call.

Then Kaelion turned towards the City Lord.

"Who are you?" Kaelion’s tone suggested that his patience was thinning, which only made the City Lord more paranoid.

Being just a High 3-star individual, he could tell that Kaelion was ranked higher than him since he couldn’t sense his strength.

"N-nice to meet you. I am the City Lord of Milti, Umar Milti. The city is at your service. Please tell me the reason that made such strong and busy people like you bring your auspicious steps here?"

"City Lord Umar Milti," Kaelion said without a change in his tone, there was still that threatening edge to it that he used for the judge and lawyer.

"Y-yes?"

"You seem to be awfully scared of something. May I take it that you are aware of your crimes?"
